She felt immense glares from everyone, as if every single student in the class wants her dead.

But her newly-assigned partner seems to be all cool about it, just like always.

They're having music class now, the only class she is passionate about and doesn't fail in. There's a new project tasked but before it is revealed, the class has to draw lots to determine the partners the students will work with. There's a box on the teacher's table. It contains the names of all the girls in the class and the guys have to go up to the box one by one to pick their partners. 

When it got to his turn, he walks up towards the table with hands in his pocket. Dozens of dreamy sighs could be heard as the girls watch him pass by them.

He maintains a charming smile as he puts his hand inside the box. He pulls out a slip of paper and many held their breaths as they wait for his response.

"Park Sooyoung Joy." he looks up from the paper, across the classroom and directly at her. He smiles.

A bunch of "Wah..." "Tsk" "Heol" and "Jinjja..." fills the classroom and suddenly everyone's attention is on her.

She fidgets uncomfortably on her seat. It's her first time receiving the attention from her entire class.

It's understandable. He's the popular, well-liked guy and she? Well, she's the outcast.

"Hello, I'm Yook Sungjae." the guy smiles at her again as he seats beside her. Joy simply nods in acknowledgement.

Are you rubbing it in my face to show how popular you are or are you implying that I'm not keeping up with the class so I don't know you?

Joy is completely disinterested and she looks away from him (and the other girls who are busy glaring at her) and opens her notebook instead.

Her notebook is filled of random lyrics she wrote, lyrics she likes and a bunch of cut-out photos of her favorite idol singers.

"You like Yang Yoseob?" the voice beside her asks and she looks up from her notebook. Sungjae's eyes are fixed on the photo of famous ballad singer Yang Yoseob on her notebook. He looks up from her notebook after asking her, just as Joy turns and looks at him too. For that moment, he got completely lost in her beautiful eyes. He blinks a few times to snap out of it. 

"Yeah." was all she said before closing her notebook firmly. She continued,"You shouldn't be poking your nose into other people's things. Stay in your lane."

Just as she finishes her sentence, the teacher announces,"Alright everyone has been assigned to a partner. I will now reveal the task details..." The teacher turns on the visualiser and shows the class the piece of paper with the details.
