Gentle
You Got MeMinHee felt right. She wasn’t sure why, but she felt right, so she’d stopped questioning it. Jackson had said so himself, they had broken up the night before her accident.
So why did she feel so guilty?
Jinwoo’s hands wound around her waist, pulling her over the console and onto his lap. He did so fluidly, as if he’d practiced, or was just that smooth. “You have no idea,” He murmured, kissing her lightly. “How long I’ve waited to kiss you.” This time, the kiss lingered. It was long, passionate, and loving.
MinHee pulled away first. “I, uhm, I need to get home.” She said, pushing herself further away from him, and back towards her own seat. “My parents will be worried.” She promised she would stop by and eat dinner with her folks. She didn’t tell Jinwoo that she was stopping by for dinner, since it was only going on two, but she felt unsettled, and needed him to drop her off.
Jinwoo his lips, looking down at his hands again, and nodded. “Of course,” He said, turning the car back on and pulling out of the parking lot. “Anything for you.”
MinHee swallowed. She was sure being with Jinwoo felt right. She felt right, she did but… even still… something was off. She was silent the whole ride to her parents house, a small tingling in her stomach.
The second Passion was released from rehearsal, Cora text Mark and jogged to the old apartment. She was too stressed out, too annoyed, to be home with the other girls. If she stayed home, she would just get angrier, knowing one of them was next to be sent back into training.
Cora didn’t bother to slow as she ran through the doors and into the elevator. This was then she stopped, took a shaky breath, and covered her face. She was so frustrated that she could see red. Mark wasn’t going to get to the apartment fast enough.
The doors opened, and Cora took shaky steps to the apartment door. When she opened it and stepped inside, she was greeted by the rec center kids, who were all dancing around, shouting, and listening to incredibly loud music. “Welcome back!” A few shouted.
Cora smiled. “Thanks guys,” She said, moving to the closet where they kept the towels.
One of the instructors, who had accompanied the group, clapped her hands. “Alright kids! We’re heading back to the rec for the dress rehearsals. Get your things, we won't be coming back.” There was a collection of groans, and the woman turned to Cora. She winked. “I’ll leave the door unlocked for Mark.”
Cora offered another smile. “Thank you.” She said lightly, walking through the space and towards the bathroom door. She opened the door, the shower, and undressed quickly. She let out a sigh as she stepped under the icy stream, thankful for something that would cool her down.
She was quick to wash up and then turned off the water. She ringed out her hair, wrapped herself in a towel, and opened the door to start into her room.
Mark was already sitting on the bed. He looked exhausted, but Cora’s heart fluttered at the sight of him. He wore a black shirt and a red flannel, paired with black cut off shorts and converse. They’d stopped taking their shoes off when the apartment became a dance studio and hang out for the rec center kids. They used everything as a dance studio, including the small closet spaces if they needed to.
