Yongguk and Tiffany
From the top to the bottomAfter thirty minutes of waiting awkwardly in the livingroom, the delivery guy decided to finally knock on the door and bring us our pizzas. Jiho looked at me from the corner of his eyes, before standing up from the couch and walking out of the livingroom. I took a deep breath and changed the channel without bothering to check if there actually even was something interesting coming from the TV. I could hear Jiho thanking the delivery guy and closing the door after him. I had thought that everything would be just cool, we would sit there on the couch, watching TV and eating pizza, but no. I wasn't comfortable, and neither was Jiho. Something was seriously bothering him. And that bothered me.
”How was it at the studio? I mean after the battle thing at the club”, I asked, trying to start a conversation. I knew Jiho wasn't like that, he didn't need to talk to feel comfortable. And that was a problem when I was trying to built up a conversation with him.
”It was good, we're gonna have another session on Sunday”, he said taking a big bite of his pizza. ”Did Jiseok tell you?”
”Yeah, Taewoon did.”
”Yeah.”
”Why do you call him Jiseok?” I asked this time out of curiosity. I still had no idea why he had two names.
Jiho took the remoter from my hand and changed the channel. ”He changed his name from Jiseok to Taewoon”, he explained. ”But I've gotten used to calling him Jiseok so I'm gonna go with that, no matter how much he'd hate it.”
”What if I called you Zico?” I teased and took a bite of my pizza. Jiho chuckled and shrugged his shoulders. ”I'd go with it.”
”Ziaco”, I browsed the name on my tongue. ”Sounds so diva.”
”I know right?”
”Yeah, you should change your name too.”
”I like my name.”
”Yeah I know, you narcissistic .”
”How is it narcissistic to like your own name?” Jiho snorted. ”And what about your name, it's not korean.”
”Yeah my parents are american-wannabies. Blame them”, I chuckled and stuffed more pizza in my mouth. I hadn't even noticed how hungry I actually was. The pizza tasted delicious. ”I don't like my name.”
”Why-” Jiho muttered with his mouth full of food. ”It's pretty.”
”No, it's weird.” I snatched the remoter from Jiho and changed the channel again. This time I actually found something worth watching. Then suddenly someone ringed the doorbell. I glanced at Jiho. He seemed surprised. ”Are you expecting someone?” he asked curiously. I had totally forgotten about Tiffany and Yongguk. I smiled awkwardly and stood up from the couch. ”It's Tiffany and Yongguk!”
”Wait, who?” Jiho stuttered when I walked out of the livingroom, to get the door. I quickly glanced in the mirror and checked myself out. I looked pretty much horrible. My skin was way too pale and my hair was messy. Not to even mention the clothes I was wearing...
When I opened the door, I couldn't help but smile. Tiffany was standing in front of me with her huge bags of clothes and stuff. Behind her was Yongguk, looking as handsome as always. In a second I forgot how terrible I looked and I just attacked on Tiffany. She yelled like a little girl and wrapped her arms around me. ”Miranda! Jesus Christ I missed you girl!” she cried and tightened her grip. I just laughed and hugged her tighter. ”I missed you too...”
When Tiffany let go of me, I looked at Yongguk. He smiled politely and raised his arms to hug me. I hugged him too, not as passionately as Tiffany though. ”Good to see you Miranda.”
”Come in! Sorry, I totally forgot you guys are coming, I've been a bit sick lately...” I took one of Tiffany's bags and carried it inside. The couple followed me inside, all the way to the stairs where you could see in the livingroom. I glanced in the livingroom, and I couldn't help but giggle at the sight. Jiho was laying on the sofa with the pizza resting on his stomach. When he saw me, he smirked and turned back to watching the TV. All the discomfort was gone.
”Uhm, Tiffany and Yongguk, this is Woo Jiho, my neighbour”, I stuttered to Tiffany, when she saw Jiho chilling in the livingroom. At first she lifted her brows. That used to be our thing in the highschool, it meant ”is there something going on between you two”. I acted like I didn't remember any of it and just generally smiled at her. Jiho sat up on the sofa and waved at us with his mouth full of pizza. ”Jiho these are my friends Hwang Tiffany and Bang Yongguk”, I said to Jiho, and walked in the livingroom so that Jiho wouldn't be an outsider.
Tiffany and Yongguk left their luggages near the stairs and followed me in the livingroom. ”Nice to meet you”, Tiffany said and offered her hand to Jiho. Jiho shook it and nodded politely. ”Nice to meet you as well. Sit down, you guys are probably tired. Have some pizza”, he said and stood up from the couch, placing the pizza
