Chapter Three

~The Right Path~

Yoomi was brought back to her room. Jason set her down in her room and locked the door. Yoomi sat on the nearest couch and sighed.

Now what am I going to do? Those people...I feel like I’ve seen them before.

Yoomi sighed.

What are they going to do to me? Mom, dad...where are you? Someone please save me.

Yoomi was scared. Her heart was beating irregularly. She didn’t like this feeling. It was making her chest hurt. She curled herself into a little ball and cried herself to sleep.

Please, save me. I’m scared.

Luhan got up the next day. He was looking at the white ceiling above him. The things that happened yesterday flashed back into his mind. He sighed.

I don’t even know her name.

Luhan sat up and looked to his left. A manilla folder was sitting on his nightstand next to his alarm clock. A blue sticky note with something written on it was stuck to the folder. Luhan reached out to the folder and read the sticky note.

I figured that you would have wanted to know more about your future wife. I asked Nai Nai for the girl’s profile. Well, here you go. She seems like a nice girl. Only one can judge, and that’s you. You will be her future husband whether you like it or not.

Luhan sighed. He opened the folder and read the information on the first page.

Her name is Jung Yoomi. Age...18...18?!!!

Luhan closed the folder and held it under his arm. He pinched his nose bridge and sat there for a while as he shook his head. He jumped out of bed and ran to Suho’s room. Luhan slammed the door open and walked up to a sleepy Suho.

"Joonmyun!" Luhan yelled.

"What?" Suho asked as he sat up. "What’s with all the yelling?"

"My wife is only 18!" Luhan yelled.

Suho’s eyes shot open.

"Wow...that’s...young."

"No really," Luhan said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes.

"What."

Luhan sighed.

"What am I going to do? She didn’t even finish high school yet," Luhan said.

"Why are you asking me?" Suho asked.

"Because you’re the smartest."

Suho smiled.

"Thanks."

"Now, really. What am I going to do?" Luhan asked again.

"There’s nothing that you can do. Once halmeoni says that you have to do it, you have to do it. It’s also partially your fault for not finding the "right girl" for the past two years," Suho said as if mocking Luhan.

Luhan sighed.

"You’re no help," Luhan said.

"Well, go talk to the others, I’m pretty sure that they’ll say the same thing."

"But, she’s just so young. She’s younger than Sehun. Two years to be exact! She’s six years younger than me," Luhan sulked.

"Hey, be glad that she’s not six years older," Suho said. "Why are you even worried about how old she is?"

"She’s young Suho. Immature. Clingly. Girly. Whinny. Annoying. Stupid. Unitelligent. U-"

"Okay! I get it. Gosh, did you read all that from her profile?" Suho asked.

Luhan was silent for a while.

"N-no. But-"

"Gosh, Luhan! Read it before you judge her!"

Luhan sighed.

"Fine."

Luhan opened it to the first page again and read it outloud so that Suho could hear.

"Name: Jung Yoomi. Age: 18. Height, 5’8. Weight: 120lbs. Eyes: dark brown. Hair: dark brown. Hobbies: cooking, listening to music, playing instruments, playing with kids. Personality: nice, kind, quiet," Luhan sighed.

"Keep going," Suho said.

"No."

"Why?"

"There’s too much. Read it for yourself," Luhan said as he threw the folder to Suho.

            Luhan sat there, trying to collect all of his thoughts.

Is she really that good? Why does Nai Nai like her so much?

Suho scanned through the papers and handed them back to Luhan.

"She actually already graduated. It looks like she’s very smart. She looks like a pretty nice girl," Suho said.

"Already?” Luhan sighed. “Well, that’s what Minseok said, that's she's a nice girl."

"Well, Minseok’s right. Just follow your heart, I’m sure you’ll eventually go down the right path...eventually."

"Suho!" Luhan whined.

Suho chuckled.

"Get out of my room! I need my beauty sleep," Suho laughed.

Anyone who knew Luhan knew that he was every picky about going down the right path and choosing the right girl. Luhan sighed and walked out of Suho’s room. He slowly walked back to his room and plopped down onto his bed. His arms and legs were spread out as he stared at the ceiling once again.

She already graduated high school?
