Epilogue
“Mommy. Daddy said I can have the Pierre Marcolini chocolates tonight.” The 8 year old Mimi quietly whispered again Hyuna’s ear, while she was busy unpacking the stuff they brought from their recent China trip.
It has been two years since she and Kris finally got married, and their marriage has been nothing but a bliss. They have their amazing twins, who just turned 8 a month ago. And just like what Kris has promised her and the kids, he filled up the first 6 years he wasn't with them. She couldn't ask for more at all. She’s got one amazing and supportive husband, and blessed with twins who were adorable and their own sunshines.
“But that’s for Mommy.” It was a playful bickering between her and her daughter, over their favorite brand of chocolate.
“Daddy said you’ve ate a lot already.” A pout was now obvious on her daughter’s lips. A few days away from them and she surely missed spending time with them. Especially when she gets the chance to tease either of them, which would always result to them running for their dad.
“Hmmn. How about you and Mommy eat it together then?” She offered, which made her daughter’s eyes twinkle. “Besides, it’s already nearing Christmas eve. Joonmyeon samchon and the other samchons are arriving in a bit.”
“Alright then. How many minutes do I have left?” Her love for the Pierre Marcolini was sure passed over to her daughter. And as per her husband, they do have quite expensive taste when it comes to chocolate.
“Three more hours baby. Now, why don't you check on the Christmas tree first and count how many gifts you and your oppa are gonna open tonight.” With unpacking and preparing for their Christmas feast, she sure do have a lot in plate for that night. And definitely not the best time yet for her to procrastinate. Being the obedient little girl that Mimi is, she bid her goodbye and fled out of the room.
Four days away from their kids, and they already have a lot of catching up to do. The main reason why she always wanted to bring them with her and Kris whenever they go out of town. If only they don't have school.
But a couple of days of being alone with her husband was a good breather as well, for them two. It was just the two of them. And it’s always something she look forward two. An alone time for mommy and daddy were always spent with them acting like college students. They would enjoy a night out, grab some drink or simply enjoy a movie date after dinner.
“Baobei. Dani called. They’re on their way.” She was just stuffing the suitcase they used back in its designated cabinet when Kris entered their walk in closet.
“Oh. Aren't they a bit early?”
“Said they wanna help out with the preparation.”
“Oh. And your daughter's been telling me you don't want her eating the chocolates.” A playful grin crossed her husband’s lips. Ever since Kris came in the picture, the twins would always end up running to him just to get their ways.
But what they didn't know, Kris would also run to her. And in the end, she’d give in.
“I told her we’ll eat it together.” She only shook her head, smiling at the idea of her daughter's face while running to Kris to tell him how she declined her wish again.
“I wonder where she got her stubbornness.”
“It's obviously from you.”
“I’m afraid I have to disagree with that baobei.” Her husband only winked at her before making an exit. Laughing, she followed him back to the main bedroom.
Years back, only photos of the kids were displayed in her room. And now, family picture of them four and their wedding portrait adorned the walls of their master bedroom. Not to mention, as what Kris said, his favorite portrait of her back in college remained hanging as well. But all the photos lined up and displayed held special memories for
