Still YouThe confrontation that Kris had with Hyuna still hasn't left his mind. Her words rung still in his mind. Especially the last words she told him.
She loved him still. Despite being gone for years, her feelings for him was still there. And it started to confuse him. She didn't deny anything but she clearly told him that she feels the same for him, she never stopped loving him. If she did cheat on him, why does it feel like all her words were true?
He groaned inwardly, hitting the steering wheel of his car. He couldn't come to work in such state. He's afraid to lash out on his innocent employees. It would be better to take a day away from work. And what makes it better, it was a Saturday. Not everyone was really required to work on weekends. Even the big bosses.
With no other place in mind, he ended up on one of Seoul's biggest shopping mall. There were lots of people, since it's a weekend. Others come in groups, pairs and there were a few like him, alone and strolling around on his own. He wasn't in the mood to shop anyway, he just wanted to walk and clear his mind out. He needed to think about yesterday's confrontation.
Being honest to himself, he admitted that he was feeling guilty of accusing her those things. And he had no idea even why he believed those pictures easily. Even his friends, probably knew that it was not real. Why must he be so stupid that he let his anger get the best of him without even talking to the people he trusts the most? Why did he let those pictures ruin him for the past years?
"Awwe." Upon hearing the familiar voice, Kris looked around to see the little girl he saw a month ago, on the floor as if she slipped and was on the floor, a few meters away from him. Reflexively, he ran to her side to help her stand up. She was still the same as he could remember. Her black curious eyes that seems really familiar to him, her thin pinkish lips and her pointed tiny nose.
"Stranger ahjussi!" The little girl greeted with joy in her voice as she saw who he was. He smiled in return, crouching down in front of her to meet her eyes. There was a warm feeling of familiarity rushing through his veins as he stare in to her pretty young face.
"Hello. Can you still remember me?" He asked. He could tell that the little girl isn't just a nobody. Even the first time he saw her, it was clear to say she came from a very well off family. The way she speak and how she dress up, indeed a member of the upper class family. It takes one to know one, as they say.
"Neh. You're the nice stranger who helped me when I got lost." She chirped, smiling so adorably at him.
"Are you lost again baby girl? Aigoo. Didn't I tell you to be careful? So you won't get lost." He reminded her, as he gently pat her braided hair.
"Ahh. Ani~ I'm with my samchon and my eonni. They just bought me ice cream. And I'm a big girl already so I told them they could leave me for a while here. I promised them that I would stay here and wait." He smiled at her answer. The little girl seemed smart as well, and witty. Her parents must be very proud having a daughter like her, he thought.
"Oh. But pretty little girls like you should be careful still." The little girl just blushed and scrunched her nose in an awfully familiar way, her giggles being stifled by her smile. He was taken aback seeing how she reacted. There's only one person he knew who has the same mannerism of scrunching her nose when she blushes.
"I'm a big girl already ahjussi. I'm 6 years old already and on the 1st grade. And I always listen to my samchons, my mommy and my oppa so I won't get lost anymore." She
