“I didn’t think you’ll really be the one who’ll pick me up” I said greeting the person who welcomed me in the airport. He shrugs and took my luggage from my hands. “Well, my lovely girlfriend requested me to do so. I can’t say no to that and it’s an honor for me to be tasked to pick you up”

I grinned at him, “thank you very much. It’s my honor to be picked up by you too”

He grinned back and motioned me to walk towards where he parked his car. “Really? It’s just your lovely girlfriend? How about your beloved cousin? Didn’t he say anything?” I asked.

He ponders for awhile before shaking his head, “nope. Oh Sehun didn’t tell me. My beloved cousin probably won't trust me with you. He knows how appealing I am to girls." I scoffed at his confident statement.

"It’s just your sister but I’m guessing Oh Sehun told my lovely girlfriend that he can't make it but then she couldn’t make it too so now you have Kim Jongin at your service” he added.

I nod understandingly and tapped his shoulder, “Guess our other halves are both really busy, huh?”

“Yeah, it’s kind of lonely sometimes”

“But don’t you dare make that a reason for you to flirt with other girls, Kim Jongin. Because I swear I really am going to kill you with my bare hands if you make my little sister cry” I warned him.

“Noona” he trails off as he opened the trunk of his car, placed my luggage inside and closed it. After closing the trunk he then held my shoulders, “Noona, even if Han Ye Seul noona tries to flirt with me I’ll still choose Soojung. So just trust me noona, I’ll never intentionally hurt your sister” he assures me.

“I’ll mark your words Kim Jongin” I told him. He removed his hands on my shoulders opens the door for me and said, “But I can’t promise that I’m not going to fan-boy over her if ever she’s around though” I raised my eyebrow on him. He shoves me inside his car and closed the door before going to the driver’s seat.

I was still looking at him with a questioning look even after he ingnited the car's engine and he probably noticed it which is why he sighed and explained, “Noona, she’s Han Ye Seul, my celebrity crush. She will always have an effect on me even if I am deeply in love with your sister. But it’s just until there. She’s married and I am with Soojung whom I’ll never exchange for anyone else.”

Jongin’s answer made me smile from ear to ear. “Yah, I never knew you are this cheesy Kim Jongin! Maybe it was unnecessary to make Sehun write for you after all” I accompanied with a slap on his arm.

The two of us laughed and he continued to drive. The drive was quite fun. Jongin is definitely not the boring type of guy. He’s friendly and easy to get along with. And contrary to what rumors around him say, he’s not snob and proud. He’s actually quite the shy type, he’s not boastful at all, he’s pretty humble despite his achievements, being a mechanical engineer and at the same time a world renowned racer who brought honor to the country.

Our conversations mainly revolved around his relationship with my sister, not much about me and Sehun. Because even though I am quite proud of being his girlfriend I am still a bit shy about it too. Jongin on the other hand had so many questions regarding my sister which I gladly answered.

Kim Jongin cares about my Jung Soojung, he cares for her because he loves her. Kim Jongin loves Jung Soojung and it’s very evident.

“Oh, Jongin ah!" I exclaimed remembering something that I should do. I shoved my phone back to my bag before I could check my phone which still hasn’t received any text message from Sehun. I’ve texted him awhile ago telling him that I have arrived and Jongin picked me up. But up to this moment I received no reply whatsoever from Sehun.

Is he that busy that he can’t even respond to my text messages? What is he doing?

"Do you have any plans for today?" I asked him.

“Today?”

“Yeah, today. March 2”

“Nothing much. The shop isn't busy these days" he answers and steps on the brakes as we reached a red stoplight. "Why do you ask?" He asked.

"My best friend's birthday is on the 9th and knowing I'll get pretty busy once I go back to work I might as well buy now that I have time, right?" I explained. "So, you're saying that you want me to accompany you in buying her a gift. Am I right?" he asked

"Well, not exactly" I trailed off. He started driving again as the light turned green. "So what do you mean then?"

I played with my fingers before stopping myself when I remembered what Sehun told me, about playing with my fingers whenever I think deep or whenever I hesitate in saying something. "Actually, I just wanted to drive me there. Because you picking me is a bother enough on your side and I don't want to bother you even more" I explained after collecting my thoughts.

He shook his head, “It's totally fine with me because I have nothing much to do at the shop. And I'll be more than happy to be your companion for today noona. If there's something that accompanying you will do, it's me having a good word from you whenever your parents talk about me for your sister”

"Wow. So, in other words you are trying to up to me? Am I right?" I jokingly accused him.

He bites his lips acting like he was thinking and then answered, "you can word it that way but I'll prefer having it said as me trying to impress you and show you my good side for your approval to who knows maybe a marriage in future. Because the end up point of dating should be marriage, right?"

"Gosh, you are such a ball of grease Kim Jongin" I exclaimed slapping his arm again while I chuckled. Jongin also chuckled and added, "but seriously though noona, I want to create a good relationship with the people that Soojung loves because I love her and I know she'll be happy if you and parents will like me for her"

I smiled feeling happy and thankful that Kim Jongin loves my sister so much.

"Fine" I surrendered and Jongin grins. "You've got my good side Kai. And since you insist in accompanying me today, fine let's go shopping"

"Okay. So this best friend you are talking about is Chanyeol hyung's wife?" Jongin asked and I nod my head while inspecting the toy I was holding.

"Wow. So, the two guys... I mean, Sehun who is one of Chanyeol's best friends is dating you who is also the best friend of Chanyeol's wife. You four have really close ties" he concludes.

I nod my head agreeing to his statement, "yup. And let's not leave out Kris who is also dating the third person in our trio, Tiffany"

He holds my shoulder and made me face him, "really?", he asked with big eyes. I smiled, "yes, really. Plus there's you and Soojung"

"Bet it'll really be awkward if one the pairs break up" he comments making me stop scanning through the display shelf. Now that Jongin mentioned it, I realized it'll really be awkward if one of us breaks up, especially if it's a bad break up. Our circle of friends is too small to not bump into each other on social events. 

He probably noticed that I sort of froze because he added, "But that's just theoretical. I mean there's really no chance of break ups if you look at it. Chanyeol's married knowing him he probably loves this Taeyeon to marry her. And there's Kris who's a definite one woman-man. Then me, I love Soojung very much I'm even considering marriage. And lastly, my cousin. Gosh, he's a hopeless romantic so he's definitely so in love with you"

I smiled listening to Kai's explanation. However, I remembered Sehun still hasn't replied to me so I checked my phone and found out that I still got no reply.

Oh Sehun, answer me, you idiot.

"Anyways, why are we in the baby's department?" Jongin asks interrupting my mental questioning of Sehun's whereabouts.

Shoving my phone back into my bag I answered Jongin's question, "Taeyeon's pregnant"

"Chanyeol's going to be a dad?!" He exclaims with greater surprise evident his face this time. I nod with a grin. "But hey, Chanyeol still doesn't know yet" I warned him, "better not spoil Taeyeon's surprise for her husband"

"Chanyeol doesn't kn-uhmpf?!" This time I had to cover his mouth to shut him up. "I told you not to spoil her surprise" I reminded. "Chanyeol's sort of a celebrity if this goes out to the public before Chanyeol finds out because of you, I'll definitely despise you Kai"

He nods his head signaling he got my warning so I released my clamp on his mouth.

"Chanyeol doesn't know? How come?" He asks again this time in lower volume than awhile ago. "How far long is she anyways?"

"She's around her third month. Chanyeol's been busy lately so she didn't get the chance to tell him. But anyways, she plans to tell him on her birthday. So if ever you meet Chanyeol, don't you dare congratulate him yet"

He showed me a thumbs up and nodded his head. "Anyways, Noona shouldn't you shop baby things during the baby shower not for her birthday?" He asked and I stopped choosing. "What do you suggest I get then?" I asked.

"Maternity dress?"

"I can make her that but it'll take time since I'm still busy"
