In my eyes, there has always been one girl who caught my attention.

She entered school shyly unlike any other schoolmate of mine. Well, it was only natural probably because she got in through a scholarship. I expect she’d have an intelligence which higher than half of our class. I particularly didn’t care much about her. But, I just noticed that every now and then her chair would suddenly disappear. Even her personal belongings would at times.

“hyung, I wonder why one girl in my class always loses her things. It’s so weird” I told my friends, Park Chanyeol and Wu Yifan. We are in different classes

“she’s probably just clumsy Hunie” Chanyeol said with a grin

“eh? Including her seat?”

“that, I think is already bullying” Kris answered

“bullying?!” Chanyeol and I both asked.

Well, in our group Chanyeol and I are the dense ones while Kris was the wise one. But, when it comes to school rankings Chanyeol always ranks first.

“yeah, if my information is right there is a girl named Kim Taeyeon in your class” Kris speculated. And yes, he has this web of information.

“I don’t remember her name, but I think that’s her” I answered

“she’s the girl who got through a scholarship. And knowing the girls in our school they always pick on the weak” Kris said while laying his back on the grassland

“that’s just bad” Chanyeol said.

True enough, what Kris said were all true. Her name is Kim Taeyeon. And after observing what was going on around her, she indeed was being bullied. Most of the time she would cry at the back of the school which I accidentally saw one day when I planned to skip class.

After seeing her cry, I’ve gained some interest in her. Well, maybe because when she cried she wasn’t wearing her glasses and I came to see her face clearer that time. But, what makes her interesting is that she still managed to smile and sound happy when she talked to her dad on the phone

I probably am having a crush on her back then. Because of that little crush, I’ve always looked out for her. Whenever I can sense a trap was set for her, I would try to prevent or lessen the harm it could cause her.

I enjoy watching her from a far, especially when she’s writing her compositions. Her works are beautiful.

“I told you before, you should start talking to her” Chanyeol nudged me.

“hyung, what would talk about? There is nothing” I reasoned. When it comes to matters of the heart Kris is not the reliable one, he seems to not have an ounce of emotion, so it is better to speak to Chanyeol instead.

“oh come on, Sehunie. I know you are dying to talk to her” he encouraged me

Yes, I am dying to speak to her. I want to make her laugh. I want to know her thoughts, her ideals, her dreams and her aspirations. But, I can’t. I’m tight-lipped

“aish, stop teasing me hyung. Let’s just hurry Kris hyung is waiting for us at the gym” I tried to redirect our topic and it worked

“oh right, that basketball freak is scary” he answered before we ran to the gym.

The three of us played until I noticed the girls in our class entered the gym. Oh right, it’s gym class for the girls while its free time for us boys.

I didn’t want them to tease me because they weren’t aware of her yet. Well, they haven’t seen her before and they probably don’t care even.

“Yah! Nerd!” the head bully shouted and Taeyeon faced them.
