Kai stood there not knowing what to say. “She is…she is pregnant.” Oh how he wish he could keep his mouth shut.

“What?” All of the guys were shocked. They knew Kai liked to sleep around but to do that to SeulMi was unbelievable.

 “She is pregnant.” Kai sighs, “It is my child. I’m willing to take responsibility for her. That is why I am worried. So if you’ll excuse me I have person to find.” Kai runs off and huffs at his escape.

All of the guys were surprise. The one most hurt by the news was Kris. His heart hurt but he didn’t know why it hurt.

“So when I suspected she was pregnant I was right.” Said Sehun. Tao hits him in the head, “Ow. What was that for?”

“Now isn’t the time to be boasting. We have to help Kai look for her.”

“But I thought- .”

“You thought nothing. Let hurry up and go.”

SuelMi’s door burst opens and her uncle comes in followed by her aunt.

“Ajussi.” SeulMi quickly got up, “What is wrong?”

“Why did you run out of the hospital?”

“I don’t need to answer that ajussi. You know exactly why I don’t like hospital and the reason why I won’t go near one.”

“Yeobo,” Mrs. Song tries to pull him out, “We have to let her rest.”

“You aren’t even fully healed nor are you capable of taking care of yourself.” He raised his voice, “You left without telling anyone.”

“I’ve done it a hundred times before what is the difference.”

“The difference is that you aren’t healthy anymore and you aren’t single. You are a married woman SeulMi. You can’t just run here to your aunt and me when you feel neglected.” He took a deep breath, “You can stay here for a couple of days but you must return to your husband if not I’ll kick you out.” He walks out of the room

“Yeobo!” Mrs. Song looks at her husband

“Ajussi! Wait.” She gets off her bed and slips on the sheet. “Ah.” Mrs. Song runs to her side.

“SeulMi.” They both sit on the floor, “Are you okay?”

“Ajumma.” SeulMi was crying, “What do I do?”

“Go back to Kai.” She rubs SeulMi’s back, “That is the only way. He has been looking for you all day from what they’ve been telling me.” She just shook her head, “Why?”

 “He doesn’t love me ajumma.” The tears slowly came, “He still love unnie.” Mrs. Song embraces her, “I can’t change his heart ajumma.” She cried on her aunt shoulder before turning in.

After the talk with Mr. Song SeulMi decided that it was time for her to leave. She knew she had everyone in the dark, making them worry about her. Kai must have been looking up and down for her. SeulMi turns and sees the picture of her and SeulMi on the night stand. She walks over and grabs it. It was the picture right before the accident. SeulMi glided her hand over the picture and smiled.

“I love him unnie, but can I trust someone who plays with my heart?” SeulMi sighs, “It like I don’t know him anymore.” SeulMi walked down the stairs with her suitcase. She went to say goodbye to her aunt and uncle before leaving. They both sat in the living room. “Goodbye ajussi. Goodbye ajumma.”

“Where are you going?” Mrs. Song stood up and went quickly to her side.

“Home.” She smiles, “Where ever that is.”

“Stay here for a couple of days.” Mrs. Song sighs, “Your ajussi said you could stay here for a couple of days.”

“There is no point I’ll have to leave eventually.” SeulMi smiles, “What is the point of prolonging it.”

BOOM CRASH

“It is storming out there. Are you sure?” Her aunt gave her a worried look.

SeulMi grab her suitcase.

“I’ll come visit you some other time.” She hugs her aunt, “Goodbye ajussi.”

She said good bye to all the housekeepers and maids as she walked pass them. She put on her cap and open the door. In front of her stood an out of breath Kai drench in the rain.

“Kai.”

His hair was stuck to his face and he breath heavily. He had bags under his eyes from the lack of rest.

“SeulMi.” He looked relieve to find her. He felt a burden lifted from his shoulder. He was so happy he could die.

“What are you-?” He pulls her into a hug before she could finish her sentence.

“Don’t do that ever again you idiot.” He pulls away and saw her suitcase behind her, “Where are you going?”

She didn’t want to tell him but she knew that is wouldn’t made a difference of she told him or not. He’ll still follow her.

“Home.” He had a huge grin on his face.

“Jeongmal?” She nods and he quickly grabs her suitcase and brings it to the car.

“Yah!”  She shouts, “Kim JongIn, you’re going to get sick like that.” She quickly grabs an umbrella and runs to him.

 He puts the suit case in the trunk and turns around to find himself face to face with SeulMi. The umbrella shielding them from the rain. They could hear each other breathe as they stare into each other’s eyes. The rain dripped from his face, making him look irresistible to her.

“Here.” She hands him the umbrella, “Keep yourself dry.”

“What about you?”

“I’ll…grab another one from the house.” She turn to walk away but get pulled back. She turns back to look at him.

“I’ll protect you from the rain.” He saw the bracelet she wore on her wrist. She pulls her arm away. “You actually took it back with you.”

“Why wouldn’t I?” she felt herself blush. He walks closer to her and covers her from the rain.

“You threw it away.”

“That was because I needed a decoy.” She avoids staring him in the eyes.

“So you would give up what I gave to you and protect something between your sister and me?” He brings her chin up, “Is that it?”

She looks at his face. He was waiting for an answer that she had no answer to. She was willing to give up anything that made him happy. She was willing to die unloved than have his love that wasn’t real.

“Ne.” she smiles, “Because what you have with unnie is love, but with me…” she paused, she knew the words cut her deep, “We’re just friends.” He was struck by what she said, “Love is one thing that doesn’t come easily. Friendship you can find anywhere. This,” She showed him the bracelet, “is a symbol of our friendship that you threw away that day when I took a hit for you, so I thought maybe you didn’t care.” She looks down

“SeulMi, I -.” He got cut off

“We should get going. I wouldn’t want you getting sick.” She walks to her car, leaving Kai stand in the rain with the umbrella. She sat in her car and stared at the side mirrors waiting for Kai to get into his car with the tears that came down.

Kai took a quick look at her car that was in front of his. Why did it hurt him so bad? Why would his best friend’s words hurt him so much? He opens his car door and gets in. SeulMi drives off as soon as he gets in his car.

SeulMi goes and grabs her suitcase from Kai’s car and walks inside. When she got in the house she was surprise to see Luna. She wore nothing but one of Kai’s shirt that fell right about her thighs.

“Oh.” Luna stood up and notice SeulMi’s suitcase, “SeulMi, what are doing back so soon?”

“I can come back to my house whenever I like to.” She ignores Luna and walks to the guest room. Kai came in with the rest of SeulMi’s stuff. He was surprise to see Luna still there.

“Why are you still here?” he saw SeulMi heading to the guest room with her suitcase.

“Oppa.” She pouts and walks over to hold onto Kai’s arm, “How can you say that to me after what we had last night.” She looks at SeulMi and smiles evilly

“What are you talking about?” Kai saw SeulMi’s expressionless face, “We didn’t do anything last night.”

“What!” Luna pushes Kai, “Now you’re denying me because she is here.” She scoffs, “I thought the bet between you and Suho ended as soon as you got you’re second strike. You don’t have to be nice to her anymore.”

“Luna!” That was the last thing that he wanted SeulMi to find out, “Don’t get into my personal matters.” He examines her, “Go change and leave my house. I’m pretty sure they are done investigating your house by now. If not here.” He drops SeulMi’s stuff and hands Luna some money from his wallet, “I’m pretty sure you can stay at a hotel for a couple of days.”

Luna felt insulted and took the money. She went upstairs and changes and left ASAP. While this all happened SeulMi and Kai stared at each other. SeulMi was disappointed in her oppa, but then again when was she not disappointed. She walks towards Kai and grabs the duffle bag that he drops and picks it up. Kai quickly grabs the bag but ends up holding her hand. SeulMi quickly moves her hand away from him. Kai wasn’t used to SeulMi being cold and angry with him; she always had a smile no matter what he did.

“You can put that inside the guest room.”

“SeulMi, just sleep with me in our room.” Kai didn’t know why but he actually missed her and wanted to hold her in his arms.

“Kai.” She sighs with her eyes closed, “Just sign the papers.”

“If this is because of what Luna said I can explain.”

“I already know.”

“You know?” SeulMi nods in reply, “How?” He was as lost as a puppy.

“Because I know how my friend acts. That isn’t how the Kai…no the JongIn I know acts if it was true.” She grabs the bag from him and walks into the guest room, “Go take a shower and change your clothes. I’ll have lunch ready by then.” He walks to the guest room

“No.” he leans up against the door, “I’ll tell Jean to cook. You need to rest and get change also.” She sighs and nods. He leaves her and walks upstairs.

SeulMi helps Jean set up the table for lunch. SeulMi looks at the time and notices that Kai hadn’t come down yet. She walks up the stairs and notice his door was open. She slowly opens the door.

“Kai~.” She saw the guy sleeping on his bed. She tiptoed over to him and taps his shoulder, “Kai~.” But he was dead asleep. She smiles and walks back out of the room; closing the door behind her.

Jean saw SeulMi come down the stairs without Kai.

“Is young master not coming down?” SeulMi sat down

“No.” SeulMi smiles and looks towards the stairs, “He must have been exhausted.” She took a bit out of her sandwich.

“He was up all night looking for you, he didn’t even come home. Leaving that Luna girl here by herself.”

“I could tell.” She wipes and nods.

“You can?”

“Uh-huh.” SeulMi nods, “By the way he looked when he found me. Messy hair, bagged eyes, and wearing that same clothes two days in a row. That isn’t Kai in his right mind.”

“How do you know?” Jean was curious.

“Because the same thing happened when unnie died.” She remember the whole funeral. Kai was at the funeral from beginning to end. He talked to no one, ate nothing, and sat at the corner somewhere like a zombie. He didn’t take a shower, brush his hair, or wash his face; the scariest part was he didn’t even cry. He looked as if he was already dead. “Whenever he loses something very dear to him he could care less about himself.” SeulMi chuckles.

“Young master must really care about you then.”

“Yes…” She thought about it, “Yes he does.”

Kai wakes up and looks at the time and notice that it was already late. He quickly goes down stairs and SeulMi sat at the couch flipping through the channels but suddenly stops at the noise of the stairs.

“You’re up?” she looks back, “Hungry?” Kai scratches his head.

“Famished.”

SeulMi smiles and stands up and walks into the kitchens. Kai walks into the kitchens and sits down at the island.

“I’ll whip something up really quick for you.” She took some rice cakes out of the fridge.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“You looked very tired so I decided to let you sleep.” She smiles and turns on the stove, “Plus I could tell you were looking for me all night.”

“How?”

“You were a mess when you got to ajussi’s house.” She chuckles, there was a silent pause as she continued to make the spicy rice cake. She set the food in front of Kai. “I don’t know if it still tastes the same but I hope you like it.”

Kai took one bite and he didn’t know if it was because he was hungry or it just tasted amazing. The food basically melted in his mouth, he was in heaven. He hasn’t ate SeulMi’s food in forever.

“It tastes the same.” He starts to dig in. SeulMi smiles as he ate.

“That is good then.”

Kai ate like a little kids that just got a whole cake. He had the spicy pepper paste on his lip. That bother SeulMi a lot.

“Kai.” He looks up at her. She slowly reached over and wipes his lip with her finger. He was so lost at her gentle touch, “Sorry it was bothering me.” She took a napkin and wipes her hand. “You can wash the dishes after you’re done. I’m going to bed.” she smiles, “Good Night.”

After Kai was done eating he washed the dishes. He turns off the light but couldn’t help but peek into SeulMi’s room. He walks to the door and opens the door slowly. She was asleep on the bed soundly. He walked over slowly and sat on the bed. He caresses her hair and saw the scab on her head. He felt his blood boil at the thought that someone would attack SeulMi for no reason. Why woud anyone attack an innocent person just for money.

“Unnie.” She said. Kai looked at her sadden expression, “Oppa.” Was she talking about him? Kai decides to lay next to her.

*She must be dreaming about SeulKi.* he thought to himself

“Mianhae. I didn’t mean for that to happen.” Her face scrunches up, “Oppa doesn’t love me.” Kai saw the tear slip from her eyes; Kai wipes it. He notice that she look like she was having a conversation, her expression kept changing so did her emotion.

Pretty soon SeulMi started to cry. Kai couldn’t help but embrace her. Kai started to doze off too. But his sense shot up as soon as she spoke again.

“Aniyo…” she sniffs, “I’m dying.”
