SeulMi was walking down the sidewalk and the tears wouldn’t stop rolling down her cheeks. People stared at her and pitied her, because of her busted lip, cut arm and the injury on her head. Some tried to approach her but when they did she thanked them for their help but refused it. She didn’t know where she was going except far away from the company.

 ♫ Ring♫

She looks at the caller ID before answering.

“Hello?”

“SeulMi?”

“Ne ajusshi.” She tried to calm herself down before talking anymore

“Where are you?” her uncle sounded worried, “Your ajumma and I are worried sick about you.”

“Waeyo?”

“Why? Suho just called me saying that they didn’t know where you are. They were wondering if you called us or anything.” He sighs

“Sorry ajussi.” She hears her uncle and aunt fighting for the phone.

“SeulMi – ah where are you?” asked her aunt, “I’ll come there right away.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll tell you guys once I know where I am going.” She smiles, “Don’t worry too much.”

“Just be careful okay.”

“Ne. Annyeong.” She hangs up the phone.

SLAP

Mr. Kim slaps Kai across the face. His face red from previous hits.

“Appa.”

“Abeoji.”

“No one better stop me.” He looks at the older two, “I’m going to teach this wrenched son a lesson.” Before Mr. Kim could hit Kai again Mrs. Kim got in the way. “Get out of my way Yeobo, I need to teach this kid a lesson.”

“I believe he has learned enough.” She looks at Kai, “He isn’t even responding to your hits anymore.” Mr. Kim looks at his wife before sitting down.

“You better hope they found her. If not you’ll get worse than this.” He yells, “How did I get cursed with a son like you?”

“Yeobo.” Exclaim Mrs. Kim, “He is our flesh and blood. How can you say something like that?”

“I can and I will.” He looks at Suho, “JoonMyun!”

“Ne appa?”

“Have you contacted her family?”

“Ne.”

“What did they say?”

“They were able to contact her but they don’t know where she is appa.” Mr. Kim looks at Kai,

“I don’t want to see you at the company, here, your home or your brothers’ home until you find her. And if you spend even a dime or penny at the bar I will know.” Mr. Kim gets up and leaves the living room, Mrs. Kim gives a disappointing look at Kai before following her husband.

Kai gets up and leaves his parents’ house.

It was almost night time and Kai still couldn’t find her anywhere; he drove his car up and down the roads. She wasn’t answering his calls either.

“Kang SeulMi where are you?”

SeulMi was cleaning the house from top to bottom. Her clothes smelled like chemicals and she was sweating hard. She was tired but if she stops she’ll think about him and Luna again. She cleaned everything over and over again. She even reorganizes the fridge, books, socks, and changed the flowers.

♫Ring♫

The house phone rung but she didn’t answer. Jean walks and answers the house phone.

“Annyeonghaseyo this is the Kim’s resident, who would you like to speak to?”

“Jean?”

“Oh Mr. Kai”

“Jean is SeulMi home.” Jean stare at SeulMi as she wipe the table for the third time.

“Yes she is, but right now isn’t the best time.”

“Is she cleaning again?”

“Ne. She been like that since she got home. Is something wrong?”

“Ani. Just keep your eyes on her. I’ll be home soon.” The line went dead.

Jean opens the door for Kai.

“Where is she?” Jean points up the stairs, “No matter what you hear, don’t come out of your room.” Jean nods and leaves. Kai walks up the stairs into their bedroom. SeulMi was making the bed and trying to flatten out every wrinkle. Kai saw that her cheek was starting to bruise and she had a huge bandage on her forehead and her arm. “SeulMi.” She stops and looks at him.

“Welcome home.” she tries to smile, “Are you hungry? I’ll go and cook something for you.” She tries to walk out the door but Kai blocks it.

“We need to talk.”

“I have nothing to talk to you about.” She goes and grab the towel and tries to leave the room. Kai blocks her and grabs the towel. She look fragile to him almost as if he could break her with one touch. That was what he didn’t know, with one touch she would break down in front of him.

“SeulMi.” He said softly to her, “I – I’m sorry.” He brushes her hair behind her ear. “Please forgive me.” She smiles

“Of course I can forgive you.” He was happy, “After tomorrow we can forget any of this happened.” Kai was taken back, “After this weekend. You are free to love anyone you want; Unnie would have wanted that for you.” She smiles. “I planned everything already, so don’t worry.”

She grabs the towel from his hands and walks out the room. Kai stood there like a statue, not knowing if he should move or not. He didn’t understand if the feeling was real or not.

Kai POV

I woke up to an empty spot. When I sat up on the bed I saw two duffle bags pack and ready to go. The bedroom door suddenly opens and I saw her come in with breakfast. She had a smile on her face.

“Morning Jong In.” I felt my heart skipped a beat. She looks at me, “Is it okay if I call you that for this weekend?” I was zoned out

“N - ne.” I stuttered. She set the breakfast on my lap

“Ppalli and eat. We have to catch the train.” I saw my train ticket on the tray. She stood up but without realizing it I grabbed her wrist. She looks at me.

“Stay here.”

“Why?”

“It tastes better when there is someone around talking to me.” I felt like I could kick myself. Did I really just say that?

SeulMi just sat down on the bed next to me and watch as I ate my breakfast. I notice on the ticket stub it was a one way.

“JongIn.” I look at here, “I have a request for this weekend?”

“What?”

“Can you call me Sue again?” she looks away, “It only if you want to.”

“Sure thing Sue.” I saw her cheek slowly began to flush. I felt like teasing her so I gave her the tray and kissed her cheek. “I’m going to go and wash up then we can leave to the station.”

She was speechless. She got up and left with the tray in her hands. I couldn’t help but chuckles to myself.

SeulMi POV

We were standing by the train tracks waiting for our train it was cold and supposed to snow soon yet there were tons of couples walking around. I couldn’t help but be nervous it was our first actual date as a couple. He entangle his hands in mines. He looks at me.

“Sue?”

“Hmm?” I look up at him

“What are we going to do today?”

“I was thinking after we get off from the train we can go check into the hotel, then we’ll go sightseeing, have lunch somewhere, and then go to the amusement park and then dinner.”

“What about tomorrow?”

“I’ll let you pick.”

“Waeyo?”

“No reason.” I shook my head but he wanted an answer, “Fine.” I was trying to think of something, “Well because it isn’t just my last day it is our last day.” I can see he wasn’t really happy with my reply.

CHU CHU

 “Kaja.” He gave me a smile that I had long to see. The train pulled up and he drags me onto the train. My heart was beating quickly.

We sat down in front a guy and girl who were both really pretty. They both look like KPOP Idols but we didn’t bother to ask. The girl worn large collar shirt that revealed her shoulder, a purple coat with fur on the hood, a jean skirt, and tights that reveals her legs. The guy worn a plain dark grey V-neck shirt with black jeans and a black leather jacket.

 I sat at the window and Kai sat at the edge. I could tell the Idol looking girl was checking Kai out; then she eyed me and gave me the ugliest stare anyone had given me. I wanted to say something but I kept my mouth shut, it was supposed to be our happy day.

“Excuse me.” She said to Kai, “May I know your name?” she smiles. Kai smirks and leans in closer to her.

“Me?” he said slyly

“Ne.” she smiles

“Why don’t you give me yours first?” I didn’t know why but I feel hurting him at that exact moment. She lays back onto her chair and crosses her legs, to expose her legs even more.

“Kim Hyun-a.” I saw him take a quick look at her legs and lean back also.

“Kim Kai.” He smiles and looks at the guy, “What is your name?” The guy looks at me before looking at JongIn.

“Jang HyunSeung.” Hyuna rolled her eyes as Kai gave his attention to HyunSeung and they started to talk about a bunch of things I don’t even remember. “So where are you and this beautiful lady going?” HyunSeung asked

“We’re going on our second honeymoon.” Kai grab a hold of my hand.

“Honeymoon?” I notice both of their jaws basically dropped. “That means you guys are married.”

“Ne.” Kai nods, “Waeyo?”

“You guys look so young and you are going on your second honeymoon already?”

“We’ll that was because our first one didn’t go as plan so we planned a second one to make it even more memorable than the last.” I avoided looking at Kai at all cost. “What about you two?”

“Us?” Hyunsung look at Hyuna and back at Kai, “We’re just friends. I’m just escorting her on her date.”

“Waeyo?” I asked

“She is actually my Hyung’s girlfriend.” I saw his smile fade, “He said that he couldn’t come and wanted me to come in his place since we’re really good friends.” I felt Kai stared at me.

I saw Kai standing in front of the entrance to Lotte World. He had a bouquet of flowers in his hands. He kept looking at his watch.

“Jong In oppa!” I jump out from behind the bush. He seems surprise to see me.

“Sue,” he gave me a hug, “what are you doing here?” he looks behind me, “Where is SeulKi?”

“Unnie isn’t coming. She got caught up with something and told me to come instead.” His smile faded but then he smiled again and looks at me.

“I guess these are for you then.” He gave me the flowers

“JONG IN!” he starts to laugh

“I’m just kidding.” He looks at the bouquet, “What are we going to do with these then? I can’t waste such beautiful flowers.” I try thinking.

“Why don’t we make it somebody’s day?”

I went and found a face mask and put it on. Kai and I started to pluck the flower petals off into a basket. Once we were down we went and ask the manager if there was going to be anything special going on. He told us that there was going to be a boy proposing to his girlfriend that day at the skating ring.  Kai and I went and got some kids and waited for the couple, you can guess what happened next.

After that we went on rides and hangout in Lotte world the whole day.

“That was fun, wasn’t it Jong In?” I saw his smile

“Yeah it was.” His smile slowly disappeared, “I wish I could do all of this with your sister. We would have been like that couple.” My ears perked up

“What?” I was curious

“Nothing, let’s go and finish this date.” We both walk to the next ride.

Two days later he proposed to my sister.

Hyungseung and Hyuna got off at the next stop. Kai and I were alone in the seat together. Kai kept my hand entangle with his.

“Did they remind you of somebody?” I turn to look at him

“It reminds me of one of those date that unnie always sent me on with you.” I smirked, “Those days when I thought –” I paused

“Thought what?”

“It isn’t important.”

“Sue.” He tried to act cute and pout. I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.

“Okay...” I sigh, “When I went on that last date I thought maybe I could have changed your mind about unnie.” There was silence, “But deep inside I knew that it wasn’t going to happen, but I hoped anyways.” He brought my hand to his face and kissed it.

“You did something.” He smiles and but his arm around me and pulled me closer to him.

I was happy but I knew this was only going to last for this weekend. As soon as time was up I would leave like I promised.

We finally got to our stop and got off. He kept my hand with his and led us to the station.

“Where are you taking me?” I asked

“You said we needed to go to the hotel first so that is where we are going?” he got into the taxi. I stood there stunned. “Are you coming in or not?” I got into the taxi with him. I was surprise but at the same time I was just glad to get the old Jong In back.

 When we got there I could tell the lady at the front desk was eyeing Kai. She started to flirt with him and he did the same.

“So how may I help you today sir?”

“I had a room booked for Mr. and Mrs. Kim.” He pulls me into a hug. The expression on her face faded.

After checking in we went out for a walk and check around the town. We went pass food stalls and stores with cute things. We went into a clothing store and I spotted a couple’s section. I let go of his hands and walked over to the section.

I saw a pair of couple’s glove, one was separate but the other was connected.

“You like that.” I jumped a little as I heard him come up behind me.

“It is cute but I know you don’t like this type things.” Kai took the gloves off the wall and looks at it then walks to the cashier. “Jong In.”

“I would like to buy this.”

“Oppa, you don’t have to.”

“Hey, you said that we were here together, so even if you don’t like it I like it.” He took out his money and paid for it. He slip on one side and put the other on mine. He put the connected glove on and grab my hands. “No matter what happens today we aren’t taking off this glove, only for the bathroom.”

We had lunch together, went to the night markets they had, and even played a couple of games; we had fun. His smile was unending, and our hand never left that glove.

“Sue.” He looks at me as we out, “Are you tired?” he swipes my bangs to the side.

“Not really.” I shook my head lightly, “But if you’re tired we can go back and take a nap and then go out to dinner later.”

“Why don’t we just sleep for the rest of day and wake up tomorrow for my day?”

“JongIn.”

“Hmm?”

“Is that what you really want to do?” he nods.

As walked I saw kids running around with balloons. A smile appears on my face as I am reminded of when we were little kids and would fight over balloons.

“What are you smiling about?” Kai asked

“Balloons.”

“Balloons?” I nod

“Remember when your dad would always buy them for all of us and we would fight over them.” Kai smiles

“Yeah and at the end of the day we would write down our wishes and send them into the sky.”

“I wish I could do that again.”
