Chapter three : In the hospital

It’s been a week since _____ went to talk with Shae and so far Shae has not come to visit Jaejoong once. Jaejoong was also not showing any sign of recovering from the coma anytime soon. _____ was midway reading the newspaper to her husband when a knock was heard from the door.

It was Shae.

“_____. Hi.”

“Shae. Hi. Thank you for coming. Please come in.” _____ said as she stood up from her seat. “Hubby, Shae is here to visit you. Wake up so you can talk to her. Ok?” she turned to Shae and said “I’ll go buy some coffee. Would you like some?”

“No, thank you.” She said not looking at jaejoong.

“Ok. Then I’ll leave you two alone. I’ll be back in a bit.” _____ said and left Jaejoong and Shae in the room.

…silence…

Silence filled the room. Shae looked at anything except the person lying on the bed, but it was inevitable. She went closer to him, and seeing Jaejoong lifeless on the bed with wires coming out of him she could not stop the tears from falling,

“Oh Jaejoong. I’m so sorry. I never meant for this to happen. I’m so sorry. Please wake up. Please.” She kept saying over and over again as tears after tears fell.

“O…k.”

“What? Who said that?” Shae wiped her tears away to try to see through them.

“Sweet…”

Hearing that nickname from her former boyfriend was not something she expected. She never expected hearing that again.

“Jaejoong are you…can you hear me? Are you…awake?” Shae asked carefully

“Sweet…” he barely whispered “thirsty.”

“Hey, I’m back. What did you two talk about?” _____ said as she entered the room.

“noisy…”

“What?” _____ said as she looked around for who called her ‘noisy’

“noisy…”

“Jaejoong?” _____ looked at Jaejoong then at Shae questioningly. All Shae could do was nod. “Shae!” _____ runs to Shae and hugs her tightly. “Thank you. Whatever you did, thank you!” she hugged her tightly one more time and went to the bedside of Jaejoong.

“Hubby, can you hear me? Are you really awake?” she asked as she picked his hand and intertwined her hand with his.

He slowly opened his eyes and croaked “Who are you?”
