Lost MemoriesCHAPTER EIGHT
“Shae, what are we doing here?” Jaejoong asked Shae as he looked beyond the railings of the rooftop of the Business building of the Seoul National University. (just think of a typical anime or drama scene. Haha, so cliché. Sorry).
“Do you remember the last time we were here?” Shae asked him.
“hmmm…no. I don't think I do. I don’t remember passing time here.”
“It was a few weeks before I had to fly to the States. I was accepted for a business program in the US. Do you remember?
“No.”
“That was the last time we saw each other until now.”
“What’s important is that we’re together now.” Jaejoong said and hugged Shae from behind.
“Jaejoong oppa, listen to me.” She say as she turns to face Jaejoong and cups his face with her hands. “I brought you here because I want you to remember that day. I want you to understand that there is a me and a you but no us; no we.”
“There was no we…what can I do to make it come back?”
“Jaejoong oppa, please.” Shae breaks from Jaejoong’s hold and distances herself. “You have _____. I’m not here to rekindle our past. I’m not a home wrecker. I promised _____ I’d help her. No! Stay there.” Shae warned him as he stepped closer to her but seeing him still coming towards her she took steps backwards. “I can’t do this on my own Jaejoong oppa. You have to want to remember your life. We can’t…we can’t - ”
“Say who? Who says we can’t?”
“I told _____ I would help her – ”
“Help me.” Jaejoong said as he finally cornered Shae against the rooftop railings. “You’re here to help me remember right? Then help me remember more about you.” He dove in to kiss her but was stopped by Shae. “I’m sorry but I don’t kiss married men.” Shae whispers and hugs him tightly. “I’ll help you any way I can.”
