Our History

Titans

“Hey Kris… I have to know… Do you like me?” Tao asked while closing the door to their room.

Kris chocked on his saliva.

“Like even a little bit?” he bit his lip.

“I uh…I … um… why?”

“Answer the question.” Tao crossed his arms.

“I don’t know… I mean, I guess.”

Tao sighed loudly before sitting down on the bed next to the older.

“Why?” Kris asked again.

“Just curious.”

“Well from what Luhan said-“

“Yeah. Too bad you don’t know about us.”

“About us?”

“I mean like, all the times we’ve met. This time we didn’t meet before.” Tao smiled, as if recalling a fond memory.

“What are you talking about? I’m so confused.” Kris scratched his head.

“We were supposed to meet before you came here. Actually, we are high school friends. I’m from China but my parents sent me to study in Canada. When I was a freshman, you were a junior. Luckily, we met during gym and became close friends. The next year you…” Tao bit his lip again.

“I?”

“You k-k-kissed me”  Tao hid his face. Kris froze with shock.

“I k-k-k-k-kissed y-y-you?” He repeated nervously.

“You confessed to me on Valentine’s Day” Tao became giddy.

“…So uh… did we start going out?” Kris’s face become more red as the conversation escalated.

“Mmhm. We kept it a secret until I graduated. I wanted to tell our parents, but you insisted on keeping it a secret. I, at least, wanted my parents to know, even if they didn’t accept it, so I told them.”

“What did they say?” Kris was now absorbed in the story.

“They were a bit upset at first, even going as far as to tease you about being a ert or a cradle-robber. But they eventually accepted us and even paid for us to go on a short weekend vacation together as my graduation present.”

“Where did we go to?”

“We vacationed in Hong Kong. I tried teaching you Chinese, but you were just awful at it,” Tao laughed.

“Then does that mean you speak English?” Kris pointed out.

“I used to… or I mean I did in that time. This time I hadn’t gone to Canada so I didn’t learn English.”

“Oh.”

“Anyway, while we were… *ahem* getting closer, we learned that we were both Titans.” Tao blushed shyly.

“F-from the tattoo on our chest?”

“I hadn’t thought the plan through fully when I decided for us to share a room, but it worked to my advantage.”

“Oh…Wait a minute! What do you mean by getting closer?!” Kris scooted backward.

“Well… when a boy and a boy like each other a lot—“

“Okay never mind. Please forget I asked…” Kris interrupted.

“Alrighty; so after the vacation, we told your parents about us being together and that we were both Titans. Surprisingly, your dad took it well even though he is completely anti-Titan. But it turns out he tattled to the police and we both ended up here. That was the first time we met anyway.”

“Wow, it’s amazing you remember all that,” Kris stated.

“Of course I wouldn’t forget it.” Tao grabbed Kris’s hand, “I couldn’t ever forget you.”

“I uh-“

“I told you all this just so you would know. I don’t need a response.” Tao began letting go of the older’s hand, but Kris held on tightly.

“I’m not saying I don’t like you.” Kris confidently gazed into the younger’s dark chocolate eyes. Tao looked away and sighed.

“Don’t like me. It’ll make it easier this time.” Tears formed in his eyes.

“This time? What are you talking about?”

“Don’t worry about it yet.” Tao continued looking down.

“Tell me!” Kris pleaded and grabbed the other’s shoulders. Tao was so slender; he could feel the bones beneath his skin.

Tao silently sat there, absent-mindedly staring at the ceiling. Kris tried to shake the other, but he was unresponsive.  Kris courageously leaned in to press his lips against Tao’s.

“Don’t,” Tao pouted when Kris pulled away.

“Don’t what?”

“Stop.”

“Don’t stop?” Kris smiled. He could sense the happiness Tao was feeling and felt his own heart flutter as well.

“No…I mean yes… I mean—“

“I’m going to kiss you again,” Kris whispered into Tao’s ear.

“… Okay.”

Author's note: LE GASP. I made this a romance. I actually wasn't goning to, but things worked out differently. I really enjoyed writing this chapter in particualr because it was so cute. I want to write more romancessssss. I promise to always explain the details Tao leaves out later. Everything will make sense soon. Also now its getting sad since Taoris is forming a relationship but the fighting is going to begin soon. Anyway, I plan on updating again soon, sorry this chapter was mainly dialoge. It looks a lot longer than it is :\

Chapter 24: I knew it!!! There was something weird about how the first duels were a bit... Harsh? Like they discarded everythig and were even throwing insults. And when Kris observed how forced Suho was, how he pracyically impaled himself on Kai's spear and even pulled it out to let the blood gush out. And when Luhan was talking to Suho, like he was telling him that he was going to die. Mehehehehehe, they're not dead! It's time for the Titans to rise!
