“Ahem,” Luhan cleared his throat while leaning against the doorway. The two quickly parted lips.

“D-d-d-d-do you need something?” Kris stuttered.

“Yeah, dinners ready.” Luhan smirked.

“Is it dinner time already?” Tao checked his silver watch. Sure enough, it was 7:00 p.m.

“Okay, we’ll be there soon.” Kris waved Luhan away.

“Well, I was pretty much done explaining anyway. That was the original timeline, before I started going back in time,” Tao said when the door had clicked shut.

“How many times have you gone back in time?” Kris questioned. With this, Tao grinned. He stood up and started digging through the bottom drawer of his dresser.

“I’ve kept a diary to keep track of everything.”

“It’s pink” Kris said flatly.

“So? Pink can be manly,” Tao defended.

“Alright, whatever you say.” Kris laughed.

“For every timeline I write down all the events, since the past changes slightly every time. This time it was that my parents didn’t send me to Canada, so we’d never met,” Tao said flipping through countless entries.

“Wow, there are so many,” Kris remarked.

“Every time I show you this thing you say that.” Tao giggled, “But every time I do, the page numbers grow. I don’t know, I just find it funny.”

“So how many times have you gone back?”

“According to this, 24.” Tao showed him the first entry of the 24^th time. Tao kept tabs to mark when a new paradox was formed.

“Woah,” Kris said taking the book from Tao.

“Hey! Give it back!”

“No, I’m reading it.” Kris stood up and held it higher than Tao could reach.

“Give it back! Don’t read it!” Tao struggled to try and grab the diary, but Kris was too tall. Although Tao is not short, he is still a bit shorter than Kris.

“Paradox: 24; they finally delivered Kris today. I was getting worried that I’d be stuck in this hell-hole all alone. He had a bandage on his forehead. They're bastards for not taking care of him well. He’s been unconscious for three days and I’m starting to get worried. The swelling has gone down quickly but I’m still worried. So I leaned over to kiss him and he woke up! “ Kris read aloud.

“Stop it!” Tao covered his face with his hands.

“So, that first day when we bumped heads you were going to kiss me?” Kris asked. Tao nodded from behind his hands.

“And you shouted ‘MOM’ at me,” he added.

“Oh, well when I was captured, my mom was in danger.  Wonder where she is now.” Kris stood up.

“GUYS I SAID IT’S TIME FOR DINNER. GET IN HERE NOW,” Luhan shouted from the dining room. The pair immediately dashed for the dining room in order to avoid getting on Luhan’s bad side.

“There, that’s much better.” Suho smiled. The group had been waiting on them to start dinner. Tonight was a traditional Chinese meal; peaking duck. All the Koreans were nervous to try it, but the Chinese were delighted. This is how dinner usually was, since there is a great cultural separation between the two nationalities. Not that anyone minded though, since it spiced things up every night. The Chinese members would complain how the food was too spicy and the Korean members would complain how all the meat tasted funny and the food was impossible to pronounce. Normally everyone kept their ear translators in, but they took them out when they were teaching the others a different language. That is when Kris found out how truly awful everyone was at English.

 This ritual usually occurred after dinner until they settled down and decided on a movie to watch. Tonight was Kris’s turn to decide which movie to watch. He was debating between Titanic (to see everyone cry) or The Great Gatsby (a book he’d read in high school but never saw the movie for). Ultimately, he chose Gatsby because the book was fantastic. Everyone intently watched the film until the end and remarked highly of it. Afterward everyone turned in early. Everyone, except Sehun and Luhan.

“What’th wrong?” Sehun asked since Luhan hadn’t moved after the filmed ended.

“Nothing.” Luhan sighed.

“It doeth’nt theem like nothing,” Sehun stated, ignoring his usual habit of choosing words without an “s” in it. (It doesn’t seem like nothing)

“I’m just worried.”

“About?”

“Tao. I mean earlier today I checked his mind and he seemed to be hurting a lot. He even considered going back in time sooner,” Luhan admitted.

“He did?”

“Yeah, but that quickly diminished when Kris kissed him.” Luhan chuckled.

“He kithed him?!”

“Yup. On the lips. Something you’ve failed to do for how long?” Luhan teased Sehun.

“I’m thorry” Sehun lowered his head.

“It’s fine.” Luhan laughed, “Don’t worry about it too much. Anyway, I’m going to keep a close eye on Tao. I know he’s upset but there has to be a point when he faces destiny. I mean he’s already tried, but his body rejects death. Maybe Kris should just let him win this time.”

“Do you want me to kith you?” Sehun asked.

“Hm?”

“Do you. Want me. To kith you?” Sehun articulated.

“I’d prefer if you kissed me because I don’t know what a kith is,” Luhan teased.

“I’m being therious Luhan.” Sehun grabbed Luhan’s hand.

“I know.” Luhan blushed.

“Tho do you or not?” Sehun leaned closer.

“Why are you coming on to me so strongly now?” Luhan protested.

“ Becauthe everyone ith thleeping,” Sehun whispered.

“Okay…”

With that, the two lightly touched lips. With each passing second, it became more passionate. Sehun held Luhan’s waist and the older had thrown his arms around Sehun’s neck.

“Ahem.” Kris the living room light. Both froze in place.

“Karma is such a huh?”
