***Hyukjae’s POV***

I went up to the apartment on the twelfth floor last.

Somehow it took me longer to get ready than usual.

I felt like having to take extra care with my outfit, seeing as I still looked pale from my illness.

It definitely wasn’t to “impress a certain someone” like Kyuhyun had pointed out.

He came to my room this morning to make sure that I would attend dance practice today.

That kid was one of the greatest singers ever and he looked good while dancing, he just wasn’t that good at learning our dances.

Funny how he learned it better by me making fun of the routines and him making fun of me, imitating my way to dance.

Without him knowing it, he learned the dances just by trying to imitate me.

I shook my head grinning amused.

I let myself into the apartment upstairs and walked into the living room.

The picture I saw was weird.

Almost every member was sitting or standing there in silence with a concentrated face.

It almost looked like meditation.

“What the…?”

I was silenced by all of them staring at me, giving me gestures to shut up and making “shhhhh” sounds.

I shut my mouth and walked over to Donghae, who was leaning against the wall grinning.

“What’s up?” I asked him whispering.

“Listen," he answered, winking at me.

I in a breath upon seeing his face.

He already turned his attention back to whatever he was listening to, but I turned his head back around to face me again.

“What happened to your nose? It looks horrible!”

“Had a run in with the door, now listen!” he ordered.

I shook my head at him and then listened closely.

At first there was nothing and then…

“You’re really annoying, you know that, right?”

That was Lin’s voice.

Then there was a mumble.

“For the last time, get out of your bed!”

“Just five more minutes!”

I had to stifle a laugh.

That has been Teukie-hyung’s tired voice.

“Five more minutes? You said that for the last half hour every five minutes!”

“I’m tired. Give me some love here!” Teukie mumbled half asleep.

“Love? You know, everyone is ready and waiting for you!”

“Everyone is younger than me. They don’t need to sleep as long as I do to look handsome,” Leeteuk reasoned.

We all snickered.

It’s hyung's favourite statement.

“I bet you she will give up," Shindong whispered.

“I’m going for her finding a nice way to persuade hyung to get out of bed," I said.

“I’m with you, Hyukie-hyung!” Ryeowook piped in.

Donghae laughed, “I think she will do something mean!”

I looked at him in surprise.

Normally Donghae isn’t getting involved in any stuff concerning girls working with our group.

“I go for Donghae’s option," Heechul said.

“Me too!” Kangin showed a big grin.

“I bet, hyung will scare her off," Sungmin said worried.

“I’m with Donghae," Kibum said.

“No, Sungmin will be right. Hyung will scare her off. He is evil when asleep," a grinning Kyuhyun stated.

“Aish, move your buddy!” I could hear Lin shouting annoyed.

“Yah! No need to scream! Get lost! I want to sleep!” Leeteuk shouted back.

“Losers have to wake up hyung for a week," Donghae said.

We all nodded.

“That bet is stupid, you know that, right?” Hankyung pointed out.

“Weirdos," Yesung said while eating his breakfast.

It looked like a bowl of “Froot Loops” with weird looking milk.

“Hyung, what are you eating?” I asked him.

“My favourite. Froot Loops with a mixture of chocolate and banana milk. Want to try some?” he asked.

“Ewww, hyung, that’s just disgusting. Look at the colour!” I pointed out.

“Aish and he calls us the weirdos," Donghae mumbled.

“YAH, is that a way to talk to a girl? You know, I always thought you’re the mature guy always being nice and responsible. Honestly, right now you’re acting all childish!” Lin reprimanded Leeteuk.

We widened our eyes in surprise.

“Ouch, that was a low blow. Maybe we should intervene," Sungmin suggested worried.

“Mianhae, really, but I worked my off yesterday, so I want to sleep. Get out, will you?” Leeteuk said in a scary voice.

He must be really angry right now.

“I will give you another five minutes and then I expect you to get out of bed without complaining!”

We heard footsteps nearing and then Lin walked in.

“You gave up?” Heechul asked her instantly, being totally shocked.

She grinned.

“You will see!”

I looked at her.

She was beautiful.

Her hair was in a messy bun and she was wearing some light natural looking make-up.

She wore jeans, a blue shirt and a white shawl.

When she looked at me, she gave me a little smile.

“Are you feeling better?”

“Neh," I answered with a smile.

“Good, don’t overdo it today," she advised me.

I winked at her.

She was looking around.

“Why is Yesung Oppa the only one with breakfast in his hands?”

“We’re eating at the company. They always have breakfast prepared for us," Ryeowook explained.

“Don’t know about you, but I’m starving. Yesung Oppa, what are you having?” Lin asked.

“My own creation, you want to try?” he offered her the spoon.

She shrugged her shoulders.

“Sure," she said.

“Angel, that’s just gross! Don’t do it," I tried to warn her.

She grinned and then took the spoon from Yesung to try his sorry excuse of a breakfast.

She ate a spoonful and we all watched her closely.

She chewed on the food for a while and then said, “Interesting flavour. I like it. Can I have a bowl of that tomorrow, too?”

Yesung smiled a big smile.

“Of course!”

“You’re so weird, Lin-ah," Kangin said.

“She is totally fine to me," Yesung defended her.

“That’s because you’re the leader of all the weirdness in this world," Heechul explained.

Then we all waited for the last of the five minutes to pass in silence.

Lin sighed then left for Leeteuk’s room.

“Now get up, Oppa, will you?”

“No, I’m still tired. Let me sleep!”

We all started to laugh.

Back to square one.

“Last chance, Oppa!”

Silence.

“Oppa?”

“Anniyo!” Leeteuk whined.

We snickered.

“Okay, you asked for it!” Lin said totally annoyed.

Lin came back to the living room and went for the kitchen.

We all watched in horror as she took out a bucket and filled it with water.

She went back to Leeteuk in silence.

“She isn’t going to…” Kyuhyun started to whisper in awe.

“Rise and shine, Sunny!” I could hear her exclaim happily.

Then there was the horrible sound of water being splashed.

The reaction came instantly.

“YAH!” Leeteuk screamed.

“Mianhaeyo Oppa, but I warned you. Now get ready!”

“YOU!?” Leeteuk shouted angrily.

Someone stomped through the hallway and then a door flew open and closed with a loud bang.

Lin returned with a satisfied grin on her face.

“Look who finally woke up!” she exclaimed.

“You really did that, didn’t you?” Kyuhyun whispered in admiration.

“You’re officially my hero. I want to marry you!”

“Yah, Kyuhyun-ah!” I shouted at him.

Lin chuckled.

“What’s it with you guys and those random proposals? First Siwon, now you, Kyuhyun-ah? Your fans would be heart broken," she said amused.

“I don’t care. You’re like a living legend," Kyuhyun said still awestruck.

Lin shook her head and then turned her attention to Donghae.

“You!”

Donghae next to me jumped.

“Me?” he asked stunned.

“Let’s go. I will take you to the hospital to get your nose looked at!”

Donghae sighed and walked over to the door.

I followed him.

“Where are you going, Sparky?” Lin asked.

“I want to tag along," I explained.

“Anniyo, you’re staying here today. You might feel better, but you haven’t fully recovered yet.”

“But…," I started to protest.

“You’re staying," Lin cut me off.

“But Noona, I will be doomed, if he isn’t…," Kyuhyun tried.

“He is staying. End of the conversation!”

With that she went to Donghae and pushed him to the door.

“And your guys’ car will arrive in fifteen minutes. Make sure your leader is presentable by then!”

With that she left.

“Hyung, save me," Kyuhyun begged, looking at me with his sorry excuse of a puppy face.

I shook my head.

“Of course I will go. We were practicing and performing feeling worse than me right now. Besides it’s important to go. Can’t miss too much of practice and recording.”

“You know she will kick your , right?” Hankyung chuckled.

I shook my head.

“Anniyo, she likes me!”

“Whatever you say," Kibum whispered smirking.

“Guys, I had the weirdest dream ever. I dreamed Lin and I were fighting and then she splashed water all over me," Leeteuk said finally showing up in the living room.

“Yeah, that’s a weird dream," Yesung replied, “Especially as she did that just this morning. You’re some kind of prophet, Hyung?”

Leeteuk looked at each of us in shock.

“She did?”

We laughed.

“Hyung, you have been your scary self this morning again," Ryeowook explained.

“I was?” he asked paling suddenly.

“You yelled at her," Sungmin said.

I could see hyung was becoming paler and paler.

”Oh no, now she will think I’m a mean guy, just pretending to be nice in front of the cameras," he said in total despair.

“Hyung, sometimes I wonder, if you have two different personalities. Your nice and kind one while awake and one bad- one while sleeping," I said amused.

“I have to go and apologize," he whispered.

“You should," Siwon, always the gentleman, said.

“Where is she?”

“She went to bring Hae to the hospital," I explained.

Leeteuk nodded.

“Okay, I will apologize later. It’s important for her to…wait! She went where?”

“Hospital, with Donghae-hyung," Kibum answered dryly.

“What on earth happened this morning?” Leeteuk wanted to know confused.

“Aish, this guy!” Kangin muttered.

“I think nothing harms him while sleeping. Thank god I’m not the one who has to wake him up for the next week," Heechul concluded.

I and all the other losers of our bet groaned and scowled at the smug looking Heechul and Kangin.

***Lin’s POV***

We sat in my car silently.

Donghae and I were on our way from the hospital to the SME building.

His nose was indeed broken and he had to wear some kind of band aid now.

Donghae was listening to his i-Pod and looking out of the window.

He hasn’t said much ever since we left the apartment.

He just asked about my car, which the company gave to me and then he made sure I really knew how to drive.

After that - silence.

I tried to talk to him several times, but he didn’t answer much, so I finally gave up.

He’s really weird.

Donghae seemed to be alright this morning, talking and joking.

Now he was totally different.

I let out a deep sigh.

I could see him turning his head to me.

“You’re alright?” he asked.

I just nodded.

He gave a slight nod in return and then stared out of the window again.

He really was different.

I knew he is a funny, lovable and caring guy, but something seemed to bother him right now.

We arrived at the SME building and drove to the underground garage to avoid the fans outside the building.

Donghae didn’t want to face them with his band aid.

As soon as I stopped the car Donghae basically jumped out.

“Donghae-shi?” I called after him, but he was already entering the building.

I sighed.

We definitely had to talk later.

I gathered my stuff to go inside the building.

I had an important meeting with the managers of the guys to go over their schedules for the upcoming months.

After I had left the guys’ apartment last night, I somehow wasn’t able to sleep, so I started to study their schedules.

I tried to learn about each of the members’ jobs by studying their schedules.

But reading all the information got me shocked.

These guys have to be the busiest men in the world, especially Leeteuk, Hyukjae and Heechul.

It was no surprise these guys felt so pressured, that some of them had found some bad ways to release their stress.

I was especially worried about Kangin Oppa, who has had some hard times after and before his hit and run incident last year.

I immediately called their managers to call in a meeting today.

Things had to change.

Some of those guys haven't even seen their families in over 6 months.

For Kibum and Hankyung it was even longer than that.

How will they find enough power to produce and promote a new album, prepare a third concert tour and find a way to work on each ones’ special talents?

It couldn’t work out without any free time to recharge their energy.

So I decided to pick up my battles for them right from the start.

I walked through the hallways, passing a girl at the information desk, nodded to her and kept walking.

I was deep in thoughts when suddenly my phone started ringing.

I got my mobile from my pocket and looked at the caller ID.

A big smile appeared on my lips.

“Funny, I think I get more calls from you guys ever since I left Taiwan than when I was living there," I said teasingly after I accepted the call.

“Aiyo, Lin, that’s just because we didn’t know what we had before you left!”

I had to laugh.

“Always the charmer, Sunshine!”

I could hear Calvin’s chuckle.

“So, what’s up?” I asked.

“Nothing, we’re just having a break in our signing event so I decided to call you," Calvin answered.

I chuckled.

“Aw, are you guys missing me already?”

“Of course, especially Lun over here. He can’t stop thinking of you!”

“Wei, stop telling her nonsense," I could hear Yalun complaining in the background.

“It’s still true," Calvin whispered.

I had to laugh out loudly.

“You guys, I miss you, too. Wo ai nimen!”

“Women ai ni!” he replied.

I arrived in front of the conference room I was expected in.

“You guys, I have to go. I have a very important meeting," I said.

“Hao, jia you, Lin Mei!” Calvin exclaimed.

“Jia you! Make sure everyone is doing alright over there and give those other guys a hug from me, hao ma?”

“Hao! Bye bye!”

“Bye Cal!”

I shut my mobile and then took a deep breath.

I looked at the door.

“This is important, Sabrina, don’t mess it up. Jia you, fighting!” I tried to encourage myself before entering the room.
