A Whole Month?
Just A Phone Call Away***Lin’s POV***
„I really don’t get the two of you,” I murmured, stepping out of the hospital with Kyuhyun by my side.
“Sorry, noona!” he said apologetically.
“First Siwon last week and now you. Why didn’t you have it treated a long time ago?” I asked.
“Mianhae, somehow the time never had been right!” Kyuhyun mumbled.
“Now, there we go. We are in the midst of promotion and you have to go to the hospital over the weekend!”
Kyuhyun looked at me depressed, which made me feel guilty for getting angry at him.
I sighed and nudged the maknae.
“Mianhae, Kyu-ya, I’m just tired and stressed. I didn’t mean to make you feel even worse!”
The maknae nodded, still feeling sad.
Kyuhyun had complained about not feeling well right after promotions for their new album started, but always stated it will go away on its own.
I had let it go for a while, but after two weeks I’ve had enough and decided to make him go to the hospital for a check up.
Obviously it had been about time as Kyu’s ear had a bad infection and now needed a surgery.
“The others will be really disappointed in me,” Kyuhyun mumbled.
He probably was right, but it couldn’t be helped.
“Anniyo, you know they can cover your parts up for two or three performances!” I tried to cheer him up.
“But they won’t be as good as I am,” he complained.
I chuckled.
“No one will ever be as good as you, Küken!”
“Not even Hyukie-hyung?” Kyuhyun asked teasingly.
“Not concerning the singing, but in other sections, he…”
“YAH, stop! Too much information! My poor innocent ears!” Kyuhyun shouted, protecting his ears with his hands.
I chuckled and shook my head.
Soon after we arrived back at the dorms just to find all the members waiting for us for some news.
“How did it go?” Leeteuk asked worried as soon as we stepped into the apartment.
Kyu’s shoulders fell.
“Mianhae!” he said depressed.
Everyone looked concerned at the maknae.
“Yah, Kyuhyun-ah, what is it?” Heechul demanded to know.
“Kyu can’t join you for your performances this weekend as he has to go to the hospital for a surgery,” I explained.
“Is it bad?” Ryeowook asked timidly.
“Anniyo, just an infection!” Kyuhyun made sure to sooth the other singer's worries immediately.
“Thank goodness!” Donghae exclaimed happily.
“So, that means for you other guys to cover his parts. Maybe you should go practice on that one!” I ordered.
“Neh! Let’s go!” Kangin ordered.
Everyone gathered their stuff to get ready to leave for practice, when I suddenly felt arms encircling my waist.
“Will you come with us?” a husky voice asked me, sending shivers down my spine.
“Hm, maybe I can be convinced,” I teased.
I felt lips touching my neck softly.
“Yah, what exactly are you trying to convince me of, Sparky?” I asked chuckling.
Hyukjae let his chin rest on my shoulder.
“To come and watch your hot boyfriend dancing?” he asked innocently.
I laughed.
“Could have fooled me. It seemed more like you are trying to seduce me!”
“Really? Didn’t notice that one!”
“Yah, could you let go of our PA for a moment? Hankyung and Joon-hyung want to have a quick talk to her, before we leave for the practice!” Leeteuk shouted out.
“Anniyo, don’t want to let go. I see her seldom enough with everyone getting ill all the time making her drive to the hospital all the time!” Hyukjae complained childishly.
I chuckled and tried to make him let go, without success.
“Kangin Oppa, help, please!” I called out to catch the strong man’s attention.
“Aw, you , Angel!” Hyukjae said and let go.
I stuck out my tongue at him and left him to go looking for Hankyung and Joon.
I finally found them in Hankyung’s room.
“Ah, Lin-shi, good. We have something to discuss!”
“Neh, what is it?” I asked.
“We need for you to accompany Siwon and Donghae to Taiwan next month!”
I was caught off guard.
“Wae? Aren’t the guys still in the middle of their album promotions? Wasn‘t Super Junior M supposed to move their activities back to a later date?”
Joon nodded.
“Neh, but there is an offer for the two of them to be in a drama as leading roles, which would help to get even more attention from Chinese and Taiwanese fans and media!”
“Neh, I understand!”
“We wanted to make Hankyung go with them and do a little promotional work while being there, but as soon as it was announced that Hankyung will go to Taiwan for a while there had been so much invitations for shows and events, he can’t be with Donghae and Siwon too much. So, now we need you to help them out. You stayed in Taiwan and are familiar with their entertainment circle, so you’ll be the best help for them.”
“So, I will be with them at the set and help them with whatever they need?” I asked to make my job clear.
“Neh!”
I nodded.
“Okay, next month it is!”
“Great! Now, the two of you can go with the others!”
With that Joon left, leaving Hankyung and me behind.
We looked at each other.
“That ,” I said.
Hankyung giggled.
“To whom are you talking about this? I thought I could have a little holiday in Taiwan, looking out for my dongsaengs and now it’ll be all work!”
“Dui bu qi, Hangeng!” I said sympathetically.
Hankyung laughed.
“I’m not the one to be worried about. Go and tell Donghae, Siwon and Hyukjae about the news, that will be worse!”
I sighed.
I’m not sure about whom I should be most concerned.
I was sure Siwon would take it alright, but what about Donghae and Hyukjae.
I knew Donghae always got homesick when he was away from Korea too long, especially if he wasn’t with all the members.
He told me once that he wasn’t able to sleep that well when not at home.
Another reason to be concerned is the fact that Donghae and Hyukjae had to separate.
As much as everyone made fun of Eunhae, fact is, that they actually missed each other a lot whenever they are apart, being best friends and all.
“You’ll be okay to go to Taiwan? We’ll probably have to stay for a month!”
At that moment the full impact of that journey hit me.
I shouldn’t just be concerned about the others, I should be concerned about myself, too.
One month away from the guys.
I will miss them terribly as every single one of them found their way to my heart.
I felt a little sting.
One month away from Hyukjae.
I will especially miss him.
“Lin-ah?”
I looked up to see Hankyung watching me concerned.
“Neh, I’m alright!” I said.
“Chincha?”
“Neh, especially as we are going to Taiwan. I will be able to visit all my friends. I missed it. It’s almost like coming home,” I said a bit unconvincingly.
Hankyung chuckled and hugged me.
“It’s okay to be upset. We all are whenever some of us have to leave for a longer time.”
I felt comforted being in Hankyung’s arms, so I let him hug me for a while.
“Yah, what’s going on in here?” Heechul asked when he entered the room.
Hankyung and I pulled apart.
“Uhm, nothing much. I just needed a little bit of comfort,” I said.
Heechul’s usual scary behaviour disappeared and he looked concerned.
“Everything alright? Did something happen?”
“Anniyo, not really. We’re good. We’ll talk about it later, after practice!” I said firmly and then tried my best to smile at Heechul.
He didn’t look convinced.
“Okay, Teukie-ya sent me to tell you to hurry up!”
We both nodded and then left the room, followed by a suspicious Heechul.
***Hyukjae’s POV***
I felt a little bit worried.
Lin and Hankyung both seemed a bit off after they returned from their little talk with Joon.
“Don’t worry,” she had said with a little smile, pecking me on the cheek, when I had asked her about it, while having a little break.
“Yah, do you think something bad happened?” Donghae asked me while having another break.
“I don’t know!”
Donghae and I watched as Hankyung and Lin talked to Leeteuk in a serious way.
Leeteuk nodded once in a while and then looked around the room with a sad expression.
When his eyes landed on Donghae and me his sad eyes disappeared, showing a big smile.
“It’s getting weirder and weirder,” Donghae mumbled.
I nodded.
Lin left Leeteuk and Hankyung and walked over to us.
“Yah, you two, why those serious faces?” she asked with a smile.
We both looked at each other.
“Don’t know, you tell us,” I said, folding my arms in front of my chest.
Lin shook her head.
“I told you not to worry. Nothing bad happened, actually it’s something good!” she said, ruffling my hair.
Donghae snorted.
“Neh, that’s why Hankyung and you seem to be depressed and now Leeteuk, too!”
Lin nudged Donghae.
“Yah, stop being so worried!” she said.
“Guys, everyone, one last time then we can leave!” Leeteuk finally shouted.
“Time for me to get lost from the dance floor!” Lin said chuckling.
“You can dance with us,” Donghae suggested.
Lin laughed.
“Sure and you can sing a German song with me!”
“I will!”
“As if!” Lin said and nudged Donghae again, before walking to me.
She kissed my cheek.
“I’ll be watching you, y,” she whispered to my ear, sending a shiver down my spine.
I watched her walk to the side.
“She has a nice way to walk, her hips are swaying very attractively!” Donghae said amused.
I tore my eyes from my girlfriend’s hips, to smack my best friends head.
“Stop checking out my girl!”
Donghae laughed.
“Come on, I’m just looking!”
I stared at my friend in shock then I pulled his head in a headlock, making him laugh.
“Stop fooling around, Eunhae, let’s get back to work!” Kangin shouted over to us amused.
***later that evening back at the dorms***
“Everyone, can you come to the living room for a while? We have something to announce!” Leeteuk shouted throughout the apartment.
“Hyung, I’m in the middle of a game!” Kyuhyun shouted back.
“Move your , Cho Kyuhyun, or I will make sure you won’t see a game for a whole month!”
“Yah, Leeteuk-hyung, why are you so serious?” Sungmin asked surprised.
I looked up from the TV as Leeteuk and Sungmin entered the living room, followed by a pissed off Kyuhyun.
“Because it’s something important and everyone has to hear this!”
“Did something happen?” Yesung asked surprisingly serious, when he walked into the living room.
“Don’t worry, nobody died or something like that,” Leeteuk answered with a sigh.
“Is it something bad?” Ryeowook asked timid, looking over Yesung’s shoulder.
“We’ll have to wait for the other guys upstairs. Lin is calling them down right now!”
As if on cue the door opened and the rest of the members entered followed by Lin.
“Yah, what is this? Are we going to separate or something?” Shindong asked confused.
This got a lot of attention from the members.
“Anniyo, pabo!” Lin hurried to reassure the more sensitive members.
“So, then tell us already. Everyone is here!” Heechul said.
Lin sighed.
“Okay, guys, here is what is going to happen. Siwon-ah and Donghae-ya are going to be in a drama as male leads!” Lin explained.
Everyone was blinking at each other.
“That’s it? And you made everyone worried about this?” Yesung asked irritated.
“That’s cool! Finally Hae will be in a drama. We all knew he would be someday as he is a good actor,” I said feeling relieved.
“Wah, I don’t know what to say!” Donghae mumbled surprised.
“That’ll be so much fun, hyung. We will be in a drama together!” Siwon exclaimed happily, hugging the dancer.
Everyone talked about it for a while, until Leeteuk intervened.
“Guys, can you be quiet for a second? Lin wasn’t finished, yet!”
Everyone fell silent again and looked at Lin, waiting for the rest of her announcement.
Lin seemed a bit nervous as she took another breath.
“The drama isn’t a Korean one, but a Taiwanese one!”
Everyone looked at her in confusion.
“They want to film a Taiwanese drama in Korea?” Yesung asked irritated.
“Anniyo, pabo! I think here comes the problem!” Kangin said a little annoyed.
“Neh, so Donghae and Siwon will have to go to Taiwan for a month next month!” Lin said quickly.
Everyone groaned.
“But we are in the middle of promotions!”
“Next month?”
“A whole month?”
“Why?”
Everyone was shouting at the same time.
I felt Donghae grabbing my hand.
“I don’t want to go, Hyukie!” he whispered.
I pulled him in for a hug.
“Don’t be like that, Hae. This will be a great chance and a month will be over really fast!” I tried to comfort the younger one, even though I felt really sad myself.
“Will they be on their own?” Kangin asked worried.
I looked up to see Lin shake her head.
“Hankyung will go with them to do some promotions, too. He will be on some shows and do some cfs!”
“NO, not my Hannie!” Heechul shouted annoyed.
This was going to get worse and worse by the second.
It’s not like we all haven’t been apart longer than that before, but it always got us all upset.
“And I will go with them to help Donghae and Siwon with the organisation and translation,” Lin said after a while.
“Chincha, noona? You will go with us?” Siwon asked relieved.
She nodded with a small smile and then looked over to me.
I felt my heart clench.
A whole month without Lin?
Suddenly it wasn’t me hugging Donghae for comfort anymore, but him hugging me.
“Hyukie, gwenchana?” Donghae whispered worried.
I nodded.
“Liar!” Donghae said with a chuckle.
“Noona, you can’t go! Who will bring me to the hospital all the time?” Kyuhyun asked upset.
Obviously the news even got to our maknae.
Lin laughed and ruffled Kyuhyun’s hair.
“You better watch out for yourself the month I’m away. Don’t hurt yourself so often as long as I’m not around!”
Kyuhyun pulled a surprised Lin in for a hug.
We all watched in surprise how Kyu buried his face in Lin’s neck and his shoulders started to shake.
“Kyu, are you crying?” Lin asked surprised.
Donghae let go of me and looked over to Lin and the maknae.
“I don’t want you all to go after we finally managed to all get together again!” he said, his voice being muffled by Lin’s hair.
“Aw, poor Kyu baby!” Lin said, hugging the maknae closer.
“Group hug!” Yesung shouted and soon everyone hugged each other with Lin and Kyuhyun in the middle.
***an hour later***
“Lin-ah, come with me,” I whispered to her ear.
After Kyu’s break down, which I’m sure he will be embarrassed about for a while, he had retired to his room, while everyone else sat down for a movie night, trying to wrap their heads around the idea of four of our “family” members leaving for a month.
Me and Lin had sat down on the couch, my arm around her shoulder, while Donghae had laid down, his head resting in Lin’s lap.
Lin looked up to me and nodded.
Even though the movie hadn’t finished, yet, everyone but me and Lin had fallen asleep.
Probably the training and the emotional stress today got the better of everyone.
Lin took a pillow from behind her back and made Donghae’s head rest on it carefully instead of her lap.
We both stood up and I took her hand to lead her out of the apartment.
We walked over to her apartment in silence and she opened the door to let us in.
I closed the door and leaned against it.
Lin switched on the lights and then walked back to me.
“Hyukie, gwenchana?” she asked worried.
I nodded.
She bit her lip nervously.
“Are you happy to go back to Taiwan for a month?” I asked.
She nodded, which got me a little bit upset.
“But I’m very sad to have to leave you behind!” she whispered.
I sighed relieved and then took her hands to pull her into my embrace.
We nuzzled each others’ necks and took in the others’ unique smell.
“I will call you as often as I can,” she said and I nodded, kissing her neck.
“And you have to call me, too,” she ordered, making me nod again.
“A month will be over in no time,” she said and I kissed her neck again.
I could feel her shiver.
It didn’t take me too long to realize that her neck was her most sensitive spot, maybe three days.
I smiled against her neck.
“Uhm ,you want to stay here tonight?” Lin asked me shyly.
I pulled away from her neck and looked at her surprised.
“Just to sleep,” she quickly added.
I chuckled.
“I’d love to!”
Lin blushed a little then she took my hand and led me to her bedroom.
We both laid down on the bed and Lin snuggled into my arms.
“I just want to spend as much time with you as possible, don’t think I’m trying to seduce you,” she said after a while.
I laughed.
“That’s sad. I would love to see you trying to seduce me!”
She punched my shoulder playfully.
“We’re not together long enough to do something like that and you are supposed to be a bit better behaved, being religious and all!”
I chuckled.
“Not everyone is as religious as Siwon!”
“Still!”
She looked up at me and I couldn’t help myself.
I had to kiss her.
At first I had intended for it to be a playful kiss, but as soon as our lips met, my body had other ideas.
Bite me, but I have been without a girlfriend way too long.
My tongue found its way into easily, caressing hers sweetly.
I felt her fingers on my chest, playing with the button right beneath the low cut v-neck my shirt had formed.
My fingers on the other hand played with the hem of her shirt, pulling it up a little bit to draw some patterns on the skin of her waist.
I couldn’t help myself, but to roll us over, making her lie beneath me, her hips trapped between my thighs.
Lin gasped surprised, making my tongue intrude even deeper.
Her fingers found their way into my hair, pulling me closer.
I took it as a sign, that Lin was okay with my doing.
I let go of her lips and kissed my way down from her cheeks over her chin to .
Lin sighed and leaned her head back a little to give me better access to .
I placed some wet kisses on her skin before I started to and nip on her skin.
Once in a while I would the strained skin softly, making Lin moan.
My hands caught hers and I trapped her arms to both sides of her head, interlacing our fingers.
After I made sure to leave a mark on my lips found the way to her neck, biting down softly.
“Hyuk,” Lin said with a soft sigh.
I smiled against her skin and let my tongue paint little circles on her neck.
I could feel Lin’s hips moving a bit restless.
Her hips pushing against mine, made me moan surprised.
Just her body against mine was able to awake some really strong feelings inside me.
I on her neck and she fought against my body weight until she finally was able to pull one of her legs out from beneath me.
I gasped, when she slung her leg around my hip, pulling me closer to her.
I let go of her neck and crushed our lips together once again.
Afterwards we parted, panting heavily.
I leaned my forehead against hers.
“We have to stop, Lin-ah, otherwise I might not be able to anymore!”
Lin kissed my lips sweetly.
“Neh, you are right!”
I groaned unsatisfied.
“Sadly I am!”
Lin chuckled and with a bit of force, she rolled us over again, making her lie on my body instead.
“Yes, you are, but first I have to pay you back,” she whispered.
I looked a bit irritated, but then her lips found their way to my throat.
I gasped, when I felt her tongue on my skin, it softly.
“Giving me a hickey isn’t a nice thing to do, Lee Hyukjae,” she whispered.
I chuckled which became a moan as she started to on my skin.
Her lips on my skin felt like heaven, making me forget about everything.
After a while she seemed satisfied as she pressed sweet kisses on my throat and then kissed my lips softly.
“Now we are even,” she whispered.
I chuckled and pulled her closer into my body.
Her head settled down on my chest, while she put one arm and one leg around my body.
I kissed the top of her head and her back.
“Good night, Angel!” I whispered.
“Night, Sparky!” she answered.
I listened to her breathing becoming slower and deeper.
“Lin-ah?” I asked, not sure if she was still awake.
“Hm?” she asked sleepily.
“I will miss you next month!”
Her arm slung around my body tighter.
“Will miss you, too,” she mumbled.
I smiled.
“You have to look out for my fishy for me while away, arasseo?” I demanded.
I felt her giggle and then she nodded.
“Arasseo and you have to look after my Küken. He seems to be totally affected by us leaving!”
I chuckled.
“Deal!”
I listened to her breathing deeply for a while before a smile stole itself on my lips.
"Lin-ah?" I called softly out to her again.
"Neh?" her reply was barely a whisper.
"Who was your favourite member before working for us?"
I felt her lips forming a small smile against my neck.
"Not a chance", she mumbled and hugged me tighter.
I groaned slightly.
"One of these days I will get you!" I said amused.
