‘As 5 Pieces now have finished their promotions in Korea (that is so saddening for us living in Korea!), I find myself watching the Seoul Music Awards that were at the end of January. I have probably watched 5 Pieces’ parts several of times and I have seen fan-taken videos and so on, but I just can’t help myself. My most favourite clip of the whole award show is when 5 Pieces wins the award for Record of the Year with [Black & White]- like one of the three biggest award of the show – right after Hannah has received the award for Digital Record of the Year with [I CRY] – like another one of the three biggest award of the show – and the cameras all caught Hannah and Maria sitting by the table for 5 Pieces and trying to not cry from Hannah’s solo award that she just got and it is so beautiful to see how shocked they got and Hannah walked up with her members, still holding the Digital Record award in her hand and she only realised it when Julia stood next to her with the other award XD But just that moment when 5 Pieces is announced and the camera films Maria and Hannah’s face expression… I’m speechless! I can watch pictures, GIFs and clips of that over and over and over again =D

I am sharing some fan-cams here on my blog that I have found and love. Like the video of 5 Pieces watching EXO/B.A.P performs on that award show, and I must admit that they are funny. Since I am Hannah’s fan it took me to watch the videos a few times before noticing what the other members were doing, but … yeah, all of them were smiling and looking to be paying much attention during EXO-K’s performance. Maybe because that is SM’s new group or could it be some personal interest? Who knows~ All I know is that 5 Pieces seem to really like that thumb on your lips dance move during EXO’s performance because they kept doing it the whole time, and Hannah was cutely moving her head during that weird shouting part by Kai and Chanyeol. But she didn’t sing along that much, as I have seen them all do in other fan-cams from previous award shows… wonder why – not really…

During B.A.P’s performance… well, everyone knows that B.A.P fancy 5 Pieces (Zelo is Hannah’s fan!!!!) but did you guys know that Hannah is a fan of B.A.P too? She was singing along during their Warrior song and looked to be in a very good mood instead of having this serious senior “I am watching you” look like she had during EXO’s performance. She followed along with some dance moves too. I think Zelo would be a little fanboy if he saw these videos of Hannah during their performance! Right? XD’

Hannah grimaces when she looks through the fan-cams that have been put up on the blog along with the text. Last year, Maria showed Hannah this blog site of a Korean fan who writes in English about Hannah. About Hannah’s activities, other thinks about Hannah, pictures and videos … A lot of things seen from a fan’s point of view. This could be why Hannah finds herself looking through it all the time, because she can see herself from fans point of view. She has apparently not looked through the site for over a week, so she is currently looking through them while waiting for her turn in the recording studio. After taking a glance through the room, she looks back on the laptop screen to continue reading.

‘Remember how Hannah said on Strong Heart recently that she couldn’t sit still for long after the car accident? Well, I found a short fan-cam of 5 Pieces sitting down during this SMA and it was quite some time through the award show I guess… But anyway, that video showed Hannah grimacing while listening to Carolina saying something when they were sitting around that table and she looked around before she stood up, looking to fix her clothes before sitting down again. Random. I just came to think of what she said on Strong Heart when I saw that.

But I have gotten a lot of questions from fans liking the pairing SHINee/5P, and to answer most questions I did find a video of the two groups interacting with each other at the award show. The clip is here below and it is hilarious how they have put together a SHINee fan-cam and 5P fan-cam next to each other so we can actually see that when Maria points to SHINee’s table, Taemin is fast to point back. During 2NE1’s performance the two groups were hilarious – they sang to each other from their two different tables; Taemin, Onew and Maria were so silly with their strange hand moves and I have absolutely no idea of why the two groups kept showing off their name signs to each other… it’s not like they don’t know each other, right? But it was hilarious to see ^^.’

Hannah starts to scroll on the site, as she has already seen the video clip of the two group’s interactions. She keeps seeing pictures of herself (fan-taken pictures from airport, from music programs with [Oppa], album pictures and all kind of pictures) and text written with her name in it. After all this time it isn’t so weird to read about yourself, though Hannah will probably never get used to that this girl writing all things is her fan. For some reason she just can’t seem to realise that people likes her, though it is the idol Hannah and not the everyday Hannah.

“So I was thinking,” Carolina is saying when sitting down next to Hannah, looking at the youngest, “you and me on the arena tour?”

“You and me… what…?” Hannah wonders nicely and looks at her friend who has this silly smile in her face.

“We’ll perform together. You and me. For the solo thing on our arena tour coming up; I know you can’t come up with a song, and I know I want to perform [I Love Rock ‘n Roll] and I remember you singing it a long, long, long, long time ago. Want to sing it together?”

Hannah smiles and without really thinking about it, she nods.

5 Pieces will have their first arena tour starting at the end of March, and the girls have to decide on their solo performances. It is hell. Seriously, obviously, Hannah has no idea of what to perform. It’s not like she can perform just anything, right? This is for their Japanese fans, their absolutely first Japan arena tour, which could mean this will be 5 Pieces second tour – Hannah can’t figure out what kind of song she wants to perform. And she likes the song Carolina just mentioned.

One of the latest updates on the blog she is looking through includes several short pictures and GIFs of a recent performance. on Japanese TV with [Sleeper]; one GIF of Hannah smiling at the camera after finishing singing her line, one of her singing her line, then just a close-up on her when one of the other members are singing…

‘A part of 5 Pieces’ [Sleeper] performance in some Japan show was aired in Korea when showing off how great the ladies are doing with their Japan activities. Hannah looked so great! I mean, just look at those clips! Isn’t she just gorgeous from top to toe? As apparently the ladies impress everyone with their awesome live skills, which I personally don’t find surprising since 5 Pieces are the best of the best, when they go to Japan, Korea just can’t miss out a chance to boast over how great we all know they are already ^^.

And I got a video from some lovely follower about 5 Pieces on some Japanese show, and like everyone else I am a shipper of the JulAh couple (Julia + Hannah) so I caught some interactions between the two of them which you can see in the video here below. Just some cute whispering and Julia touching Hannah’s leg… But honestly, it is the small things that count, right?

5 Pieces seem to definitely be storming in from Korea to Japan as their music videos and music are repeatedly played everywhere and all the time in Japan (according to my lovely followers) and as it has been announced; 5 Pieces will release their first Japanese album in March! I don’t know about you, but from what I have heard and seen from their other Japanese songs and music videos and lives… I can’t wait for a full album!’

“Hannah, you are up.”

The girl looks up when hearing her name and she almost throws the laptop off her lap when realising it is her turn to record, but lucky her she realises she has the laptop in her lap when she is going to stand up so she grabs on to it before putting it aside, apologizing to the producer for not reacting at first.

Busy working, 5 Pieces spends Valentines Day recording two new Japanese songs. Between the recordings they have Japanese class and they talk about what songs they might perform on the arena tour. Carolina is all obsessed with performing [I Love Rock ‘n Roll] with Hannah now when she has agreed on it, so during the break between class and recording, the two of them are even sorting out which part of the song to sing and Carolina shares her ideas over how to perform it. Hannah just smiles and nods, not saying much at all and letting her friend fantasize and have fun with the excitement over that they can perform together.

Hannah and Jonghyun had both said they would wear the couple tee on Valentines and send the picture to the other, and Hannah does that when she comes to the apartment after finishing everything on their day’s schedule. She cosily dresses up in the couple tee after taking a late walk with their puppies together with a manager and Maria, and she takes the picture, sends it to her boyfriend, and while waiting for a respond she is sitting in the sofa and going through the rest of the week’s schedule. Everyone has washed up and is relaxing before they will go to bed, and while talking with their managers about the schedule they are looking through some gifts they have received for Valentines Day here in Japan. Hannah watches the members go through home made chocolate, flowers made of papers, letters, pictures and expensive things like a camera for Emelia and Maria receives a blanket with special hand-sewed details that makes Maria’s face on the blanket and more gifts by the Japanese fans before Emelia suggests her to do it too before they will go to bed. So Hannah puts her cell phone away to start look through the enormous cardboard box that has her name written on it.

A lot of letters, mostly handwritten in Japanese with attempts for Korean and English words – Hannah reads through some of them, saving others to later. She receives a package in the box too, slowly opening it because Ace has come over, curious to know if there will be anything yummy for him to eat there because in Maria’s box there had been some candy that the leader shared with their leader pet.

Manager Song is sitting by the kitchen table and has gone from talking about the schedule to help going through some Japanese with whoever is curious to know; currently sitting with him is Carolina, but the other members and Manager Lee are also commenting and speaking Japanese. Early in the morning it is scheduled at 06:30 for 5 Pieces to film for a Japanese TV program, and that is what their manager is preparing for and that is why Manager Lee keeps asking if they all shouldn’t prepare for bed soon. Maria makes fun of him by calling him ‘mother’, because he is so annoying.

“Keep calling me that how much you want, I’m still in charge,” Manager Lee warns Maria and the girl just smiles up at him.

“I got four pieces and three puppies. What do you have?” she jokes with him in a gangster style.

“Your pay check”

Emelia gives out a sudden outburst of laugh, saying “burned” to Maria before stretching over to Manager Lee to get a high five. Hannah smiles too when Maria admits to the manager that it was good. Hannah unwrap another gift, and when lifting up the yellow fabric while looking like a question-mark, Maria starts to laugh and pointing at whatever it is the youngest is holding in her hand.

“What is it?” Hannah wonders and stands up to be able to take out the whole thing, holding her hands up while the yellow fabric hangs down to her feet. Maria keeps laughing, not caring that Michin jumps on her in excitement and she just keeps pointing when the others asks what she is laughing over. Hannah keeps trying to figure out what it is she is holding on to, asking if it is a one piece. “It has a tail!”

When noticing that the one piece has a tail, Hannah starts to laugh too. She falls down in the sofa, hiding her face in the yellow one piece and keeps laughing, not knowing what else to do and neither does she respond when Maria crawls on the floor to the box to ask if there is a letter with it.

“What did you get? What are you laughing at?” Carolina wonders and comes running over to them to try see the one piece.

“It’s a Pikachu pyjama,” Maria laughs after finding the note that came along. “You got to wear that!”

“Why do I have to wear it?”

“Because it’s yours… duh,” Maria answers and rolls her eyes.

Hannah does try on the Pikachu pyjama, but she doesn’t let their managers get the pleasure of see it as she tries it on after the two managers have left. The pyjama is a little big, but even if the size wouldn’t be big the pyjama would still be too big for some reason. It seems like it is supposed to be big. Hannah and her members have fun with the pyjama. The youngest gets to take pictures of it; Maria gladly taking pictures off her and guiding her in to posing well, and once Hannah has taken the pyjama off Carolina tries it on. Hannah at that time checks her cell phone, still not getting a text from Jonghyun, but she instead uploads one of the pictures of her dressed in the pyjama to twitter, writing that she hopes everyone enjoys Valentines Day happily.

“Carolina!” Hannah whines when the older friend runs off, dressed in the yellow pyjama.

“Can’t I borrow this tonight?” Carolina asks from across the apartment.

“No!” Hannah runs up from the sofa, walking after her. “It’s MINE! Carolina, give it back!”

“Kids, don’t start now, its bedtime,” Maria calmly says from the living-room while putting the boxes on the side so the puppies and Ace won’t ruin the gifts.

“Carolina!” Hannah’s loud whining is heard along with a banging on a door.

Emelia comes back inside the living-room with a chuckle. “Carolina has locked herself in the toilet.” Maria sighs by hearing it and she calls for the two loud girls to stop making noise before their neighbours will come and complain. Hannah keeps whining though, and when Maria comes over to them to tell Carolina to surrender, Hannah is jumping and whining to get her pyjama back.

“Carolina you idiot, get out here!”

Carolina does come outside when hearing Maria’s voice outside the door, and when coming out she is holding the pyjama in her hands, pouting as if she is upset and Hannah pulls the pyjama out of her hands, looking even more upset before she walks off, and without a word she goes to bed, upset over that Carolina now has her eyes on the new pyjama – Hannah tries to come up with places she can hide it when she has gone to bed.

Just as Hannah is about to fall asleep, she receives a text message. She picks up her cell phone to check it, and all about Carolina wanting to take her Pikachu pyjama is gone from her mind when seeing that Jonghyun has sent a picture of himself in the same couple tee she was wearing and he has written a cute message along to it. He hadn’t gotten home yet when Hannah sent her picture, so it took some time before he sent his back.

After finishing the day’s activities with TV appearances and performances of [Sleeper] along with the first “Meet Pieces” competition the girls have been announcing on through videos and also an audio recording of another song, 5 Pieces are at the dance practice to practice their upcoming Japanese song [Run Out] for their album. It is the first time meeting the Japanese dancers; a 12-member dancing group going under the name Tokyo Drifters. Six boys and six girls who are excitedly greeting 5 Pieces when they first meet, though two hours later they are all practicing for [Run Out]. The dancers are really great and because there is a mix of the ages among them, there isn’t much awkwardness with 5 Pieces; beside from the language barrier.

During the break everyone sits down on the floor, resting and also getting to know the dancers a little. Hannah can’t remember a single name (she is bad at names), but the moment a name is said she tries her best to remember it. Emelia is good at making new friends, Hannah hasn’t really noticed that before, but maybe because her Japanese is good and she seem to like the dancers the rapper is the one talking.

“So who is the oldest?” Emelia asks in Japanese.

“Oldest is 32, that’s Koko,” one of the dancers says and points at the woman Kimura Koko, and the same person points over at one of the male dancers, “Nori is the youngest.” Yuhara Michinori. “He’s 19.”

“Oh really?” Emelia comments on the big age difference while Hannah translates to the other members that the oldest is 32 and the youngest is 19. All of the six female dancers look to be in their twenties, even the 32-year-old Koko.

“That’s amazing,” Maria comments in her own way, liking the Japanese short words and phrases and she throws out her arm dramatically, making the others laugh.

Tokyo Drifters will be the back-up dancers for 5 Pieces’ first Japanese album and also for the arena tour. For the song [Sleeper] there are no dancers and neither for the song [Daze], and though [Daze] isn’t even Japanese, the dancers have fun dancing the English version of it in front of 5 Pieces because the ladies were told to practice it one last time before they can go home and sleep.

Speaking Japanese, Hannah makes a cute face-expression to the camera filming her backstage. “5 Pieces’ Japanese isn’t good.”

“Aren’t you all studying very hard?” the man filming her wonders.

Hannah is in the stage outfits for [Sleeper], her long blonde hair is center parted and her make-up fierce for the day’s schedule. Still in the fierce make-up and style, she looks cute when she pouts. She nods at the camera-man’s question.

“The members are really studying hard,” Hannah answers, continuing to speak in Japanese and a woman is standing behind her to make sure the microphone is sitting on to her clothes as it should. The camera-man asks if she can describe how much they are studying and the girl gives a smile. “We even go to the bathroom with a book to study.” She laughs when she has said it, apologizing as it maybe isn’t a good joke but the audience will like it when they see it even if Hannah continues to apologize. She normally doesn’t say jokes like that.

“Where are we today?” the camera-man asks when Hannah starts to walk backstage.

“We are in … Osaka. Osaka, Japan,” Hannah answers with a nod and she smiles at the camera-man filming next to her while she is walking, happy over their location. “Did you see what our fans bought for us?”

He shakes his head, asking her to tell him what the fans bought for 5 Pieces.

“Osaka fans of 5 Pieces…” Hannah starts to say slowly while gathering her words in to Japanese, “they bought us takoyaki. Osaka’s speciality, the members were taught. Out of the members, Carolina liked it the most, but she mispronounced it as ‘taiyaki’. Taiyaki is different..”

Earlier, Manager Kawayama had come inside the room backstage with a box of takoyaki (ball-shaped Japanese snack) for 5 Pieces. Fans had together bought it for 5 Pieces and the staff to eat before the fan meetings, sharing with their idols some of the specialities of Osaka. Carolina had ended up eating most of it because it didn’t end up being a favourite for Maria, and the camera-man had actually filmed Carolina and Julia eating some of the snacks after rehearsal.

Hannah gives a nod when she is done talking, and the camera-man asks if 5 Pieces are trying a lot of different Japanese food during their activities.

“Yes,” she answers well. “The members love to eat, and Japan has a lot of different dishes. Even dishes that are about the same in Korea have a different taste… I guess we try a lot of different food.”

A staff member points for her to go inside the room on the right and Hannah gives a final bow to the camera-man as he is not allowed to follow inside. Julia walks inside a few seconds after Hannah, being the last of the members to come inside the room where they will do some interviews before walking up on the stage to continue with their fan meetings for [Sleeper] promotions.

During the fan meeting, 5 Pieces actually reveals to their fans that they enjoyed eating the gift bought by fans before coming up on stage, which gets a pretty good response from their fans.

For some reason Hannah feels tired today. They didn’t have to wake up before six to get ready for a schedule today as they have had to do the past few days, but she is still tired both mentally and physically. She laughs and has fun with the others, it isn’t difficult to have fun at all with the members and fans and staff, but she still feels tired. Her eyes have a hard time staying open several times and she messes up her words several of times; and since she does notice her mistakes, it makes her annoyed at herself even if the others just laughs it off because all of them make mistakes in their Japanese.

The first fan meeting comes to an end and when coming off the stage, Hannah lightly lowers her head in a bow to the camera while passing it in the rush of following everyone to the backstage room. Only when hearing Maria clap her hands for everyone’s hard work the youngest does the same, saying everyone have worked hard. But they will have a second fan meeting in about forty minutes too. The camera follows the ladies inside the backstage room, filming the conversations between the members and managers and staff while 5 Pieces are taking off the high heels and putting on either sneakers or slippers before they gather around a camera held in Emelia’s hand that had been used by their manager below the stage, and 5 Pieces starts to monitor the three songs they just performed on stage during the fan meeting.

Just this part will also air in the US along with other clips about 5 Pieces, and it will show 5 Pieces looking through their recent performance and giving each other critics along with the manager, and when it airs on TV a voice talking will say ‘still after five years performing on stage, 5 Pieces always remembers to monitor their performances to see what to improve and to learn even more’.

“Hannah should sing higher in [Let Me Be Yours],” Maria comments when they are listening to the ballad song. “It’s good in the beginning but then you sing lower than the rest of us.”

Hannah just nods. She has a bad habit of singing softer than the other members to let their voices be heard, and for [Let Me Be Yours] there are many, many parts where Hannah is the one whose voice should mostly be heard. The reason is because this is Japan – that’s what Hannah was told anyway. There is no doubt over that Hannah is the face of 5 Pieces in Japan. Though Emelia tends to talk more during interviews, Hannah is still the one getting the most attention from the journalists and the questions, and Hannah thinks the group is pretty good to handle it with letting the others answer questions and making sure they are noticed too. Because in the end; 5 Pieces have five members and not just one.

After those forty minutes of break, Emelia points one finger to the camera when she is heading out of the room.

“Second fan meet in Osaka, go-go,” she says in Japanese before disappearing out the room.

After the fan meetings in Osaka, 5 Pieces continues the day promoting there with their “Meet Pieces” competition number two, and after eight in the afternoon the girls go for two different radio programs that ends right before midnight. On radio it is difficult to have all five members talk as listeners won’t understand as well as people can do if it is on TV. Which means Hannah and Emelia talks the most and are the two keeping the mood up because they understands the DJs jokes. On the second radio show the female host seems to have had other K-Pop artists as guests as she knows just a few Korean words that she gladly uses both before the radio and during the radio show in a try to let all five members talk.

On Sunday and Monday, 5 Pieces continues to record songs and spend a lot of time in the practice room to prepare the new dance for their new song. On Monday they also have more activities with TV recordings and fan meetings in Tokyo. Their “Meet Pieces” competition continues on Tuesday along with most of the day doing TV appearances and also a dance practice, and Wednesday is about the same.
