Girly voices are echoing in the wide studio, fourteen girls sitting together for an interview; laughing and talking and not having much structure. The staff can’t mind it though; all of the men are just looking at the girls with white gazes and each sound that the girls make, the men just smile a little more. Fourteen pretty girls (the nine members of SNSD and the five members of 5 Pieces) are sitting there with light make-up that almost makes it look like they aren’t wearing any make-up at all, and pretty, simple clothes in light colours. They are like kindergarten kids, all of them, giggling and talking in mouth on each other just to laugh some more and in the middle of the interview Hannah can feel someone poking her with a finger on her back. Hannah tries to ignore it at first, sitting at the front between Tiffany and Maria who are two of the talkative ones for the interview, but since the poking continues she puts her hand behind her shoulder to try stopping it, and when it stops she pretends nothing happened. Until it starts again.

With a glare she turns around, meeting Yoona’s pretty face that is smiling childishly at her. Yoona gives a weird laugh and Hannah hits her elbow back to Yoona’s leg – as those behind are standing up while those at the front are sitting down – and they are both smiling when looking to the front again.

5 Pieces and SNSD are filming a skin care commercial together today and tomorrow. Most of the day has passed today already, half of the day both groups had different activities and then some of the members went to film the first part of the commercial and now both groups are together for interviews before they will do the photo shoot for the advertisement. It’s crazy when the two groups are together. Being around the same age and they are all good friends, and though they recently meet at music programs it is still a lot of girly chatting between the girls when they meet. Doing a commercial together is lively, not a quiet second, and all of them are really having fun.

Some of them leave when finishing most of the interview to start with the photo shoot, and those staying behind do another interview. For the photo shoot, the members are mixed up in groups, and each group is the same: talking, laughing and hugging each other. It is a very simple and lively concept with both groups supposed to be happy and models, but for some reason it feels more like they are just having a lot of fun.

“Is it really a must for Koreans to wear couple tees?” Hannah wonders when she is sitting on the side with some of the others. She is eating the yummy Korean take away that everyone is sharing on the set. Members are dropping by the table to take a mouthful before walking somewhere else, or they do like Sooyoung and grab a lid that she puts the food on to be able to walk away with it.

Jessica grimaces by the question, having a spoon in but she takes it out to point with it when answering. “I think guys are more focused on couple tees than girls. It’s not a must at all…”

“Really? I thought girls wanted it… It’s more a girl-thing,” Sunny comments and reaches over the table to reach for a piece of bread.

“I thought so too,” Hannah points to Sunny to show it is her she agrees with. “Why do guys want to wear couple tees, I don’t get it.”

“Boyfriend trouble?” Sunny guesses and she giggles when seeing Hannah starting to pout. Hannah sighs and leans back in the sofa she is sitting on; hugging the blanket she has over her to keep her clothes clean from the food. She doesn’t have a family to talk about her issues with, so Hannah feels good that she can talk to her friends in SNSD; after all, Tiffany always says they are one big, happy family.

“Jonghyun wants to wear couple tees,” Hannah sighs, continuing to pout.

“And you don’t?” Sunny wonders and reaches for another piece of bread, glancing at the girl sitting in the sofa across the table.

“Isn’t it silly?” Hannah wonders with a grimace. “I mean … wearing the same kind of t-shirt? I don’t even know the meaning of it.”

“I think it’s cute,” Yoona mentions, sitting next to Hannah. All of them are focused on eating before their name will be called up for the filming. “If you do wear couple tees, I want a picture of it.”

“We wore couple tees once,” Carolina randomly brings up, pointing to Taeyeon who quietly has been texting on her cell phone. Jessica gives her a look; a look that has the question “what?” all over it and for some reason no one finds a word to say after Carolina’s random comment. Yoona clears over the awkward silence before she and Hannah starts to giggle. Carolina is the only one not noticing the awkward atmosphere after her comment, neither does Taeyeon but she hasn’t either been paying any attention at their conversation.

Hannah likes the friendship between all members in 5 Pieces and SNSD. The girls are like one big group when they are together, always chatting and having fun, and it is different compared to when Hannah is with her own members. 5 Pieces have a lot of fun together, but when the nine girls of SNSD join them it is suddenly some levels higher of their voices, filled with talk and laugh. Its strange how two groups like this get along so freaking well; that is how Maria once put it, but it is the truth; a good truth.

“So what will you do?” Sunny wonders with a glance at Hannah, the blonde girl who glances up without knowing the question is directed to her until seeing that Sunny is looking at her.

“What do you mean?”

“Jonghyun wants to wear couple tees, while you think it’s silly. What will you do?”

“I already told him I’ll do it,” Hannah answers with a shrug, just to start laughing when Yoona gives out an impressed ‘oh’ sound. Those sitting with Hannah playfully, saying she will do anything for her Boyfriend and Hannah blushes behind her blanket.

Soon after, Hannah and Jessica are called and they rushes up to continue with the schedule.

They have fun together filming the commercial. Since there are many, many hours filming it together, the girls are chatting and talking not just when filming but when they aren’t filming they are eating, playing around, taking pictures on their own, playing with the pets and eating some more. With SNSD around, there is always food around to be eaten, which makes Maria occupied when she isn’t filming.

Commercial filming doesn’t have a break during the night, and even when finishing the group filming those that hadn’t filmed during the day stays to wait for that. Maria and Carolina are the two from 5 Pieces that leaves when the group filming is over, while SNSD’s Tiffany, Yuri and Jessica are the three that leaves. The rest stays behind to continue and finish the commercial filming.

While still waiting to film, Hannah finds Yoona standing and being interviewed on the side by some behind-the-scenes camera.

“It’s around… three in the morning,” Yoona is saying to the camera with a glance on her cell phone to see what time it is, “and we have been working the whole night, but I’m not tired~”

Yoona gives off a cute ending and afterwards she looks over her shoulder when hearing Hannah laugh. Yoona laughs too when noticing someone had heard her and she waves her hand for Hannah to come over, and when Hannah steps up next to her they put their arms around each other friendly.

“Hannah and I discovered something earlier,” Yoona says and Hannah nods, though Hannah has absolutely no idea of what they discovered. Yoona is giving off a smile that shows she will say something funny. “While the other members were sleeping, we ate up the box of strawberries together. Only when we got scolded afterwards we realised we had eaten it.”

Hannah laughs. She thought Yoona would say something else. After midnight, when all of them still were at the set, Yoona and Hannah had been sitting in the corner with some sleeping members, and while talking they had eaten up all of the strawberries.

“They were yummy,” Hannah nods and Yoona nods to the camera too. Both of them laugh over the subject and Hannah bows slightly to the camera to apologize for the bad topic before she slinks out of Yoona’s arm to go to the side where the stylist is waiting for her. Yoona follows her after a few seconds.

It is tiring to wait for their turn, especially as they have been awake the whole night and are tired. Though Yoona said she isn’t tired, she meant that they are having so much fun that she doesn’t feel it the whole time, but they are all definitely tired. Therefore the two girls who just stood in front of the camera are giggling for no reason – the tiredness comes out in giggling and laugh.

5 Pieces and SNSD have been divided in three groups. The first group filmed the day before, and when they were done after the group filming they were the ones who left. The three groups have different scenes to film for the commercial; one in the bathroom where they are chatting and talking excitedly in front of the mirror about the skin care product, one in the living-room that is about the same and one in the bedroom.

Hannah and Emelia along with Sunny, Taeyeon and Yoona are the five chosen for the bed part. The part with all five of them they are sitting on the big bed with white sheets and quilts, wearing simple white or light-coloured clothes and the thing they focus on is to look happy and to laugh, talk and just have fun. Like a slumber party, the director tells them.

Taeyeon is supposed to reach over to touch Emelia’s cheek with open in surprise, to ask what she is using to get that good skin, and both Hannah and Emelia (since they are both from 5 Pieces) will inform them about the new product while the three members from SNSD will look interested in what it is. Its fun when they film it, because once Taeyeon just touches Emelia’s cheek without saying anything so it just looks weird, and then Sunny is bouncing too much so she falls back and off the bed. They are doing their best with the filming because they don’t want to disappoint the staff by pulling out on the filming, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have fun. And the lines are messed up a few times, but it is good since they just laugh it off and try it again.

After finishing the commercial filming, Hannah headed to the next book meeting – a two hour long meeting – before she headed home for a few hours to sleep, to then head to M Countdown. Maria had until then been filming ‘We Got Married’; Julia and Carolina who also had finished filming earlier had gone to do some variety show after getting a little sleep. Which means the whole group gathers at M Countdown for their [Oppa] performance, and once again they meet the members of SNSD.

Today Hannah is wearing a really simple outfit for their stage; a pair of black skinny jeans and a v-neck t-shirt in black and gray. Her long blonde hair has a few locks in it, not having a special volume or anything, but it is very ordinary and simple and Hannah actually likes it. It feels that the group is calming down their stage outfits to end the promotions. Since October they have been performing on music programs almost every week, with four different songs and three of those songs had a pretty strong concept. [Black & White] had a lot of body-fitting clothes and they wore boxing wraps on their hands for it, while for [Daze] they had fake tattoos on their bodies, and now with [Oppa] they are wearing simple and plain outfits in sneakers instead of heals, no strong make-up (which could be the biggest difference of it all) and it is just really comfortable to get up on stage and perform this slightly-cute song.

On Saturday for Music Core they have decided to wear the caps they got from Swedish fans and that also made an appearance in the music video, and though the ladies doesn’t know it today, the Swedish fans will give a wild reaction on the internet about that performance.

For today’s M Countdown, SNSD and 5 Pieces are once again facing off for the first place on the chart with their songs – 5 Pieces’ [Daze] is still high on the charts. Standing there today, Hannah is standing next to Julia whose other side is being hugged by Sunny. Hannah is ready to clap her hands when the winner is about to be showed, and she smiles when a fan in front of them gives a cheer to SM Town – since both 5 Pieces and SNSD are from SM, Hannah guess the fan is cheering on both groups for the first spot.

When the winner is announced, the audience gives a surprisingly loud scream, happily cheering and Hannah’s hands doesn’t clap but her whole face goes up in a surprised smile. Only when Carolina has started to talk in the microphone, to thank some people and also to say some words about the song, Hannah claps her hands soundlessly with a huge smile and she then turns a little to her right to bow to Yuri congratulating them.

5 Pieces won this week’s M Countdown.

Hannah claps her hands out of habit while she starts to bow to the other artists on stage and to the audience when the speech is done and the encore is going to start. A staff gives the members a microphone and the moment Hannah receive hers she shouts out a ‘thank you’ to the fans in the audience. She takes a few steps back just as the song is starting, and she laughs when SNSD are standing there with 5 Pieces, and they all strangely dance to Emelia’s beginning with *DAZZLE… STUN… DAZE…* Instead of having Maria sing her part, Sooyoung is holding that microphone. Maria still dances seriously next to her until Sooyoung gives the microphone back. Hannah during that time runs up behind Carolina and Yuri who are standing at the very front and waving to some fans and when Hannah comes up behind them she shows her face between theirs (still standing behind a little) and blinks cutely before she gets a back hug from Julia and laughs. A loud male voice screams over the others in the audience, but the audience keeps screaming nonstop during the encore.

All until the very end of the encore Hannah is bowing and thanking the audience. Even when getting off the stage her smile isn’t fading and she bows to the staff, saying the usual phrases about their hard work and when standing up straight after bowing once she notices a camera filming for one of Mnet’s programs that reveal backstage clips of M Countdown and her smile grows when she gives a wave.

“5 Pieces won this week,” the camera-man mentions.

“5 Pieces won!” Hannah cheers and claps her hands in front of her face to the camera, laughing happily when Yoona bumps in to her from behind to give her a congratulation hug. “We faced SNSD today, and they seem to celebrate just as much as us.”

Yoona nods with her chin burning against Hannah’s shoulder, making the younger girl grimace slightly, but the grimace still doesn’t make her loose her happy face. “Congratulations 5 Pieces!”

“Thank you!” Hannah bows to the camera lightly and steps away with Yoona still hugging her from behind, letting those coming after them also talk to the camera. SNSD hadn’t been with them on stage the whole time during the encore, but some of the members returned to the stage when the encore ended to congratulate 5 Pieces – just as 5 Pieces have done when SNSD won.

Hannah is still exchanging polite phrases with people when she reaches their room backstage and she smiles when getting a hug of congratulation from their manager who has been waiting for them there with the others.

“Well done, ladies,” their manager is smiling when each member of 5 Pieces enters the room.

“Well done, ladies!” Carolina repeats in a loud voice and she claps her hands when glancing around the room, though no one seems to take notice of her. Hannah still gives her a high-five when no one seems to care about Carolina’s words.

“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!”

“Can you say that again?”

“Oh My God!”

They laugh at Maria’s expression when entering the apartment in Tokyo, Japan, that will be 5 Pieces home during their Japan activities. Their manager has been spending most of the day when they have been doing their activities about the many demands 5 Pieces need for their apartment. Pet has to be allowed, it must be three bedrooms if not more, air-condition, at least one walk in closet, kitchen with good equipment with a big fridge and a storage room. They had found it.

The apartment they just have entered is amazing, Hannah admits to that at first glance. It has wooded floor, white walls and ceiling with a modern and stylish look in both structure and colours; spacious, stylish kitchen in wood with brown-red colours and the whole place is furnished in luxury.

“Keep an eye on Ace so he won’t ruin anything,” Emelia mentions when seeing the huge L-shaped sofa in white. A glass table in the living-room, a flat-screen TV, and along the wall on the side they have a beautiful view of Tokyo Tower.

“Oh my god!!” Maria bursts out again, this time when seeing the red tower. She runs up to the windows that reach from the floor to the ceiling. “OH MY GOD! We have a balcony!”

The windows she is standing by are actually glass doors, and she slides it up to step out on the balcony, laughing like an insane person when seeing how the balcony is reaching along the wall for many meters until the neighbours balcony is of the other side. Hannah stumbles out after her, looking over the railing to look down with open. They are on the tenth floor, so there is a long way down. Hannah giggles when Maria says they can have the balcony door open even when they have brought their pets here (their pets are still in Korea as 5 Pieces will go back tomorrow after a photo shoot here in Tokyo) because the railing is thick and high to Hannah’s chest.

“Where’s the shower?” Julia walks around wondering when Hannah is back inside the apartment.

“There are two toilets; one by the hall and one in the corridor outside the bedrooms,” their manager is explaining while heading over to the corridor, where three doors on the right leads to the bedrooms, the other side of the corridor that leads to left is to the hall and the two doors on the left before are strangers to Hannah until her manager explains it for them. One of the two doors lead to the toilet, while the other door leads to the washroom with washbasin on the left of the room while washing machine and such are on the other side. Their manager walks to the door across the room, opening it. In that small room is the shower.

“Seriously?” Hannah finds herself asking when looking inside. There is just a shower in here, and then in the washroom they are supposed to brush their teeth and such, while there are two other tiny rooms with just toilets. “Why not just make one big bathroom?”

“It’s Japan, darling,” Maria comments when she happily comes inside to take a look too. “I’m more curious about the bedrooms. Three bedrooms; who sleeps where and with whom?”

Hannah looks at their manager, as if he will have all the answers to their questions. Hannah had already taken a look in the bedrooms that are next to each other. The first room is slightly bigger, with two beds next to each other with a desk and a door on the side leading to the walk in closet, while the other two bedrooms are of the same size where the third bedroom has one bed, one desk and a simple closet and the bedroom in the middle that usually was supposed to have the same as the third room instead has a second bed rather than a desk so there are two beds and two closets.

“The rooms have already been decided too,” their manager informs while heading out from the washroom. “Because Carolina had to sleep alone at your first apartment in Seoul, we’ll let her and Julia take the first room-”

“What? Wait, they can take the second room. I want the first one. I want the walk in closet,” Maria is fast to interrupt when finding something in his words she doesn’t like. “Carolina and Julia don’t even have that much clothes.”

“Maria…”

“I want the walk in closet,” Maria interrupts with a glare.

“You will get a room all by yourself instead,” Manager Lim reveals and Maria looks first a little taken back. She breathes out, turning her head a little while looking at their manager.

“Oh,” she then says. “Ok.”

Hannah smiles when Maria walks away, satisfied with the result even if she doesn’t seem to get the walk in closet.

“So that means Hannah and I share the middle room?” Emelia wonders, standing by the door to now Maria’s bedroom. Hannah glances at her friend, thinking it through. The thing that always has been a problem for the members in 5 Pieces are their sleeping habits: All of them are different from each other. One member can’t sleep when it’s dark in the room, another member can’t sleep unless it’s dark in the room, and Hannah and Julia are the only two not listening to music when sleeping… Emelia is a light sleeper, she wakes up easily and at times it seems like she doesn’t sleep at all. She listens to music too, which is probably why Hannah doesn’t like to sleep in the same room as her; small things annoys Hannah so she can’t sleep. As a group that travels a lot, spending a night or two at a hotel when travelling abroad, 5 Pieces are used to stand each other for one or two nights – they have learnt that they have to try adjust to each other – but 5 Pieces will practically live in this apartment for a few months, and that is what makes Hannah a little worried.

Manager Lim nods at Emelia’s question. “Is that good?”

“Sure. I’ll just kick Hannah once or twice if she is too much of an annoyance,” Emelia dryly jokes and smirks at Hannah who gives her a glare.

After looking through the apartment, 5 Pieces goes to a restaurant nearby to eat before they head to the next location to continue with their interviews and activities for the Japanese single [Sleeper].
