Folding the letter back into the envelope, I stared down at the cover.

This book...

It was the journal I had bought him so many months ago.

Flicking through, I was surprised to see just how many entries there were.

Pictures, photos and even small mementos were stuck down, adding to the weight of the small book.

Tears watered in my eyes as I smiled.

Opening to the first page, I began reading...

Dear Journal,

So, today, my Angel gave me you so I could write down lyrics. Or whatever was in my heart. I guess the person in my heart right now is her. She really is beautiful you know. I admit I’m a little jealous that Lay and her are wearing such a couple outfit but don’t worry, I’ll win her back.

Now, do you think we can win the rookie awards-

Flipping forward a few pages, a photo caught my eye.

It wasn’t anything big. Just a small photosticker.

Thirteen of us had been jammed into one booth.

It was one of the few times everyone was free and we had spent the day together.

Underneath was a small caption.

‘We are one! Plus one. hehe’

Laughing, I flicked forward a few more pages.

A photo of the maknaes and I eating ice-cream.

An entry about the trip to the beach.

A few little drawing of stick figures dancing.

A few small mentions about Soomin.

If there was one thing the journal was about, it was me...

Turning the pages without even reading most of them, I finally ended on the last page...

You’re leaving me, I know.

Why do you make me cry everytime. :(

I guess we’re even now with me making you cry all those times.

I don’t know why you’re leaving and I can only say that all I want to do is hold you in my arms and never let you go.

But that would be mean of me.

I won’t be there to see you off. If I do, I’m afraid I won’t be able to wait for you to return.

So I’ll be home, at the dorms, waiting for you to come back one day.

Because I know that one day, you will be back.

Sometimes, I think that I’ll wake up from this dream and find out that you’ve run away with hyung.
