Reunion
Not an Angel. Just a Fan.
"Ah... Ramen. Ramen. Ramen."
Humming a small tune, I strolled through the aisles, searching for Ramen.
Pushing the trolley along, I sighed happily.
Living alone did have its perks. Cooking for one, late night movies and snuggling into a blanket on the couch.
That was exactly the plan for tonight.
Thanking the cashier, I held the bags easily.
Another perk. Less bags to carry.
Stalling by the door, I smiled sadly to myself.
Lying to myself was never a good habit.
Perhaps I missed companionship more than I realised...
Exiting the doors, I let out a sigh of frustration. It was raining. Of course.
Looking up at the dark sky, the heavy clouds didn't seem likely to let up anytime soon.
Pulling up my hood, I braced myself against the wind, rushing out into the rain.
Speed walking, I grumbled under my breath as I felt my hood get soaked.
Of course.
Walking down another street, the rain suddenly stopped.
Surprised, I looked up.
A purple material blocked my sight of the sky.
Alarmed, I spun to my side to see the dimpled smile of Lay.
Relieved, I gave a small smile right back.
"Lay Oppa! You're back from China! Are the others back too?"
Grabbing the bags swiftly from my hands, he nodded.
"We're all back for a while. Until the next promotion at least."
Reaching over to take at least one bag back, he cleverly moved about, keeping the bags out of reach.
Offering the umbrella, he raised an eyebrow.
Raising my eyebrow in return, he smiled with that cursed dimple.
Frowning, I took the umbrella with a huff, as he smiled victoriously.
Thankfully, I could hold the umbrella over us both quite comfortably although I had to stretch a little.
Reaching the house, I unlocked the door, ushering Lay in. Closing the umbrella and shaking off the raindrops, I giggled at the colour.
Purple.
It was a love we both shared.
Entering, I took off my sneakers, slipping into comfy slippers.
Shuffling into the living room, I pulled off my wet hoodie.
Gross.
"I'll be right back. Going to change. Can you drop the bags in the kitchen? If you want to watch TV, the remote should be on the couch!"
Without waiting for an answer, I headed into my bedroom.
Grabbing a clean shirt and sweat pants, I made my way into the bathroom.
Jumping into the shower for a quick rinse, I skipped back out.
Feeling a hundred times cleaner wearing fresh clothes that didn't weigh a ton, I rubbed the fluffy towel through my hair.
"Lay Oppa. How come you were in the rain too?"
Turning his head way from the television to face me, he motioned me over.
"I came to give you a present Eunmi..."
Slinging the towel around my shoulders, I sat next to Lay with my hands held out expectantly.
Even after knowing him for the short time, I knew he wasn't going to let me go without giving me the gift.
Laughing at my expectant behaviour, he opened his MCM backpack.
"I swear Luhan Oppa and you have the whole collection of those bags."
Grinning, he winked.
"Maybe. Maybe not."
Lifting a small packet out of his bag, he held it out to me.
"All yours."
Beaming, I gently peeled off all the tape, revealing the present.
"A braided bracelet... Matching bracelets?"
Nodding, he showed me the one on his wrist.
As soon as he tied the bracelet in place, I giggled.
"You're so unoriginal Oppa. We already have matching necklaces and now we have matching bracelets too?"
Mock offended, he knocked me on the head gently.
"You don't even appreciate the loving effort Lay Oppa took?"
"Of course I love it Oppa. It's just that you're so unoriginal!"
Giggling, I laughed at his attempt to save himself.
"B-but bracelets and necklaces are different. I mean one goes on the neck and the other -"
"Just trolling you Oppa. I love it."
Looking relieved, he froze as I threw my arms around him.
Releasing my hold, I smiled widely, fiddling with the bracelet.
"Well just in case, I got you a little something extra."
Looking about, he walked across the room to pick up the sports bag I had thrown carelessly on the floor.
"Turn away from a second Eunmi. Promise I won't do anything bad."
A little doubtful, I turned away.
After several curses, I was very much tempted to turn back around yet he assured me he was fine every time.
Minutes passed as I stared at the bookshelf.
"Done! Turn back around now!"
Turning back around, he placed my bag onto my lap.
The previously plain black bag was now covered in pins.
Twelve separate icons with a single emblem.
"It's EXO... All of the symbols?"
"And the group emblem of course. I noticed you carry around that bag a lot so now you'll be reminded of us!"
Sniffling, I gave him a watery smile.
"O-oppa..."
"I mean. I mean if you don't like it you can always change the order and stuff. I mean."
"Oppa! I love it!"
Throwing my arms around him again, this time he gently hugged me back. Secure and warm in his embrace, I yawned softly.
My eyelids felt heavy... Really heavy...
Closing my eyes, I felt the exhaustion of the day fill my body.
Drifting off into dreamland, I didn't even feel myself being moved into a more comfortable position.
The last thing I felt was a feather soft touch....
A warm touch to my forehead as I slowly fell into deep sleep...
