  Baekhyun lifted his hands to stop Zico from speaking any further. After allowing Zico to speak without interruptions for thirty minutes now, Baekhyun decided to cut him off. At this point he did NOT want to believe a single word that came out of the younger male’s mouth. It is clear to both Baekhyun and Luhan that the things Zico knows was no coincidence and that it didn’t happen just over night, but what he spewed right on after was a bunch of nonsense that they refused to grasp.   “I’m sorry for cutting you off but I believe I’ve heard enough.” Baekhyun said flatly. His expression was still as hard as it was thirty minutes ago.   Immediately, Zico’s mouth pursed into a straight line.    Luhan nodded in agreement and stood up. “Thanks for the information, Zico, but I don’t think we will take you up on the offer.”    “It’s not an offer,” Zico whispered, scratching his head. “It’s a ro—”   “But you lack the proof and evidence. So it can’t be a ro—”   Zico cut Baekhyun off sharply with a fierce look in his eyes. “If you don’t do what it is asked, then your Maiden will be in danger. Haven’t you realized by now what I’ve been trying to convey to you both?”   “We have,” Luhan replied curtly. “But the proposal of yours is ridiculous. If it be that Goddess would be in danger, surely the twelve of us will be strong enough to protect her.”   Zico got up now, irritation written all over his face. He had the strongest urge to punch the older boy in front of him. Unfortunately the universal law prevented him from even raising a single finger.    “I’m sorry,” Baekhyun repeated without emotion. “But I think it’s time for you to leave.” He walked over to the door and held it open for Zico.    Letting out an irritated sigh, Zico stormed over, slipped on his shoes and stalked out of the house. His hands were clenched together tightly. *How could the two of so stubborn? Don’t they understand a single thing about the world they are living in? Nothing in this world is normal. We aren’t normal people. We are beings with higher powers. And their Maiden... she... she... Aish!* Zico spun around. Two pair of eyes was staring at him with contempt.    “Just let my words sink in, that is all I ask of you then,” Zico grumbled through his teeth. With that, he fled down the dark streets. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he yanked out his cell phone and dialled his hyung’s number.   ---   Baekhyun and Luhan shook their heads. When it came to strangeness, the Kingdom of EXO could not even compare to the Modern day world.    Zico was a strange boy, and after this conversation, the two of them were surely going to watch over him more carefully. Though the two boys refused to grasp the reality of his words, the two of them could not deny the cold blanket that he left in the room before he left.    “You don’t believe him do you?” Baekhyun asked, running a hand through his hair. His voice was a lot shakier than he had anticipated it to be.    Luhan was looking straight at the T.V screen. It wasn’t on. It was blank and black with no visuals of emotion, just like he. Baekhyun turned his direction to the blank screen. Luhan’s face reflected with great clarity across the screen; doubt written all over expressionless mask.     “I’ll try not to,” Luhan whispered honestly.    Baekhyun closed his eyes. *This is a lot more complicated than I ever expected. I don’t know what’s going to happen from here. The path that I was so sure of had suddenly become blurry. My vision has become blank and my heart feels empty.* Slowly, his hands clutched onto his chest as he was in great pain. Baekhyun bit his lip.     The words that Zico had spoke, was slowly sinking in his head and finding it’s way into the core of his heart. Baekhyun felt a sudden flash of hopelessness.     Suddenly, there was a pat on his shoulder. Baekhyun’s eyes fluttered open and he glanced over. Luhan’s expression had turned soft. He gave Baekhyun a light squeeze. “Regardless of the outcome, we’ll always be with her, Prince Baekhyun.”    “I know,” Baekhyun flashed his older brother an appreciative smile before looking down at his feet. *But it won’t be the same.... Self
