For the rest of the day, you did your best effort to remain your usual self. Yoonjung had ditched school, apparently she had a ‘doctors’ appointment to attend to. You didn’t even know if she got herself a partner yet. Still, you tried not to let that affect you too much. You smiled when Kai tried to help you in class, and you laughed when Kris teased you.   After school, Chanyeol, Sehun and you were holding hands while going home.    The boys were blissfully happy seeing you smile.   You were more than grateful for Luhan for not telling the boys. Judging by the look in your eyes, Luhan could tell you didn’t want the other boys to worry about you. Luhan was confused by your actions and he didn’t know whether or not to believe that you were truly okay or not. It hurt him, it did. You were trying so hard to please the boys.   For dinner, you had helped Kris and Sehun make dinner. The table was full of chatter and loud laughing. Chanyeol told a joke, and everyone cracked up with laughter.    “Eat a lot, okay? It looks like you’ve gotten even skinnier since you came to this stinking place!” You told Sehun, a warm nurturing smile slowly appeared on your lips. Sehun nodded and quickly devoured the food with happiness knowing how much you cared about his well being.    You were sitting next to Xiumin, who was known for tossing down his meals hungrily like a barbarian. You shook your head and smiled. There was a speck of something on the corner of his lips that caught your eye and you blinked. Instinctively, you leaned over and wiped away the red stain.    Xiumin stopped eating immediately and his turned his head and met eyes with yours. “H-huh?” He trembled slightly, unused to such kind gestures.   You gave him a breathtaking smile. “Sorry. You had a stain there. It was bothering me.”   Xiumin flushed pink and looked away. “O-oh. Okay, thanks Goddess.” He grinned.    You smiled affectionately at him before you felt another pair of eyes looking at you. Your head spun to the direction of it, and you locked gazes with a very concerned Luhan. His eyebrows were slightly furrowed together and he had a small pout. ‘Are you okay?’   Your eyes grew soft. You nodded. ‘I’m okay. Thank you, again, Luhan.’    As if he read your thoughts, he nodded to himself and silently ate.    You let out an exhale and ate despite having the lack of appetite. It was difficult getting everything down, but you pushed yourself to swallow it. *You have to be strong, okay? You’re their Maiden. Snap out of it!* You tried to console yourself.    You forced yourself too hard and then accidentally gagged. You paled. You could feel the vomit lingering at the tip of your oesophagus. *Oh god. Not in front of them.*    You didn’t even finish half your bowl of rice when you stood up. Your face was as calm and collective as ever. “Sorry boys. I just remembered I have a lot of studying to do tonight so I’m going to excuse myself from the table. Eat a lot boys!” You clapped both Kris and Sehun on the shoulder. They exchanged baffled looks with each other.    Kai frowned when he looked at your still full rice bowl before looking back up at you. “Maiden, you didn’t even finish your rice.”   You bit your lip and turned around. “Sorry Kai, I promise I'll finish it tomorrow!” He sighed. You laughed and saluted to him with the biggest reassuring smile on your face.     Then, you spun on your heels with a sudden grimace on your face as you darted up the stairs and into the washroom to throw everything you ate back out.    ---   The boys knew how important studying meant to you and so when no one knocked on your door, you were more than thankful for it. Unfortunately, you weren’t even studying. The one night the boys chose to stay quiet, you were just sitting in bed with a bunch of thoughts in your head.    There were just so many things to think about: University, Graduation, the 4 year event you were waiting so long for but now won’t even be able to go, Yoonjung, the boys, Daehyuns party, your parents, money, yourself as a person, everything. You didn’t know if you made the right choices, or if you did anything right in your life.    Money was so limited in the household, but apparently, Angel Mart was booming. But yet, you still felt guilty for not being able to play your part as the daughter your parents always wanted. You hadn’t done anything to make them proud. All you did was get in trouble and get detention.    The boys were all so courteous and kind. They had so much patience for you that you didn’t deserve. They were kind, they had true virtues and they were devoted to you. You didn’t know what you did to get such amazing, caring, and loving guys in your life.    And then there was Yoonjung. You’re best friend.   Earlier, you were furious with her. You were so angry for the fact that she didn’t step in to help
