This was your third day off from school.    You had spent your days off just hanging around with the boys. Unfortunately you had busted your right hand which was also your writing hand so doing homework was impossible. Despite the broken hand, It felt nice to spend time with the boys and not having to think about anything else. You had to admit, you really did miss the Kingdom of EXO. You missed King Leeteuk and his strange ways of ordering his court around, you missed your Court lady who nagged you often and you missed playing soccer with the guards in the fields.    That was the life. In some ways, it felt like you took it for granted. It felt like you should’ve done more than wallow around in your chambers. A surge of regret coursed through your mind and you sighed as you absentmindedly played with Chanyeol’s hair. He had a habit of laying his head on your lap these days, but after awhile, you gave up on trying to push him away. It became comforting, in a way.     *At least I have you all here now, right?* You looked down and gazed softly at Chanyeol. *I don’t really know how things would be if you all weren’t here with me. I probably won’t be as strong as the person I am now.*    Feeling your stare on him, Chanyeol tore his eyes away from the T.V and looked at you. At the same time, smiles broke out on both your faces. You patted his soft cheek gently.    “Time for dinner!” Sehun’s voice chirped, ruining the moment between you and Chanyeol.    The table was set by the time you came over.    You could tell D.O and Suho were getting accustomed to life here just by looking at the meals they made. You sat down between Chen and Luhan as you eyed the food. You didn’t realize where you were sitting; you were far too hungry to think about that.    Chen and Luhan exchanged looks with each other. *It’s the first time she’s sitting beside us Angels.* They both taught. For some reason, the thought made them very warm.   You clapped your hands. “THANK YOU FOR THE FOOD MY PRINCES!” You beamed.   Suho stood up, and leaned over as he picked up a piece of deep fried chicken roll and placed it on your bowl. He smiled at you, making you melt inwardly in your chair. “Eat it while it’s still hot, alright Maiden? This was a special recipe to me and I decided to share it with you.”    “Of course!” You nodded eagerly and Suho laughed at how cute you looked as he sat back down.   Dinner, as usual, was filled with laughter and wild chatting. Tao tried to seduce you with his bbuing bbuing for more icecream, only to have you ask Sehun to punch him in the arm. Xiumin quarrelled with D.O as the two fought for the last piece of the deep fried Chicken.   You noticed Luhan had barely ate and while those two boys were too busy quarrelling, you stole the last piece and placed it in Luhan’s bowl. He blinked in surprised and looked at you.   You didn’t look at him, because you thought he was going to make a smart remark like he usually did so you shifted a bit so that your back was slightly turned towards him. When you didn’t hear him complain, you smiled. *Yay, he accepted my peace offering.*    Luhan’s eyes flickered to you and he softened. *Thank you Goddess.*   “MAIDEN!” “GODDESS!” D.O and Xiumin gaped at you in disbelief.    You ignored them and chatted with Lay quietly.    “Ugh, this is your fault!” D.O blamed Xiumin.    Xiumin lifted his hands, clearly irritated with D.O at this point. “I-”   “Xiumin!” You growled with a deep, piercing glare.    Instantly, his hands fell limp and he sighed. Chanyeol and Kai laughed at him.   As Kris ate, something was bothering him in the back of his mind. Technically, it’s been bothering him since the first day they got here. He’s been meaning to ask, but hadn’t had enough courage to ask you. Usually, he was confident and brave, but this topic felt hard to bring up. However, like a pest that won’t leave, this question lingered in his mind constantly. It was burning to be asked.    He cleared his throat and settled his bowl down. “Goddess?” His manly, charismatic voice spoke up.   Everyone around the table quieted down and looked at him curiously.   “I know this is out of the blue, but,” Kris scratched his head nervously. Out of everyone, your stare made him nervous the most. The way your eyes would blink like an innocent deer, made him weak. “Can I ask you a question?”   Your chewing slowed down and you cocked your head to the side. Sensing by the tone of his voice, and the serious gaze in his eyes, you knew he wasn’t about to tease you. You nodded, “Of course. What’s up?”    “I’ve been wondering... where are your parents? I haven’t seen them around much since we’ve been here...” Kris said.    This was the question that was burning in the rest of their minds. Like Kris, they had trouble bringing up such a touching topic, and they were glad that Kris was the
