  The difference in Yoonjung before and after she got yelled by Kai was huge. The excitement was gone and was replaced with misery. You felt extremely guilty for what happened, and wanted to make it up to her.    At lunch, you took Yoonjung’s hand in yours as the two of you raced to the front of the office; that was where they always put up the schedule for the two day event. When your steps brought you closer, there was already a crowd of buzzing students surrounding a very conspicuous big poster. It was colour coded and highlighted as it indicated all of the events and activities for the two days.     “Come on Yoonie, lighten up! It’s what we’ve been waiting for four years!” You smiled at her. She gave you a weak smile and didn’t say anything else. The look in her eyes was enough for you to know she was still upset over what Kai had said.   You turned forward and your smile fell.You didn’t know why she was taking Kai’s words to heart. Normally she would have scoffed and laughed it off after.    *Maybe she’s upset with me because I didn’t defend her...* You sighed. If that was the case, you were definitely going to apologize for it after.    You pushed through the crowd for you and Yoonjung. A couple of glares and hisses were daggering your way but you flashed them right back carelessly at the students.    When you made it to the front, you and Yoonjung analyzed the schedule as it was an exam paper. Your eyes roaming everywhere; up, down, side to side.    Your eyes widened happily and you looked at Yoonjung. “YOONIE! THIS YEARS THEME IS PARTNERS IN CRIME!” You beamed.   Yoonjung’s eyes were just as wide as yours. “OH MY GOD!!” The two of you started jumping up and down and squealing.    This is exactly what the two of you wanted all along. The perfect theme for the perfect tagged duo. You had so many exciting thoughts and plans for that day. You pulled Yoonjung out of the crowd before more students crowded around. You had up until Friday to sign up as partners for the event.    “I can’t wait to tag team and throw pie in Mrs. Jin’s face! It’s going to be so freaking hilarious!” You clapped your hands in excitement. Your mood was so elated to the point that you didn’t even notice the sudden crestfallen expression on Yoonjung’s face.    When her pace slowed down, yours did, too. You turned back and saw that she was back to the same mood she had before she saw the schedule.    You frowned and looped your arms through hers and pulled her closely next to you as you two made way to the cafeteria. “Yoonie, you’re not mad at me are you?” You bit your lip.   Yoonjung’s head snapped up and she gave you an incredulous look. “Of course not! Why would I be mad at you?”    “Because... I didn’t really get the chance to help you when Kai... you know.”    Yoonjung rolled her eyes. “I’m not mad at you, silly.”    “Are you mad at what Kai said then?” You asked.    Without hesitation, Yoonjung nodded. Her eyebrows knitted together. “I don’t get why he is so mean to me. I’ve been nothing but nice to all of them. I never once spoke unkindly to them before...” she mumbled, clearly offended.    You squeezed her arm. “Hey, it’s not you so don’t blame yourself. Okay? And about Kai... he is a really, really great guy. He just needs some time and he’ll warm up to you.”   “Was he like this to you at first?” Yoonjung asked, her eyes probed yours for a long amount of time.    You scratched your head. “I don’t remember...”    Her head hung low. You bit your lip even harder. Yoonjung was your best friend and you loved her to death. She’s been with you through everything and she was your other half. How can you live with the guilt that she was blaming herself unreasonably? She was a great friend and Kai is one of your beloved, how could you stand to see them in this type of situation?   You had to think of something. You racked your brain until something came up. It gave your heart a tiny squeeze when the idea flas
