Chaeyoung felt for Mina. 

She could see and feel how confused she was, Chaeyoung wondered if no one else could see that, the girl was clearly having a war in her mind, everything she had said yesterday seemed to disagree with other things she had said seconds ago. For a moment Chaeyoung had been afraid of being kicked out again, of Mina shutting down. She did not want the girl to hate her, but she had to ask. She had to make her understand that there was nothing wrong with being in love, she needed Mina to see clearly. She had been bold, Chaeyoung had no idea from where she had gotten the courage to say all those things to Mina, but she was happy it all went right. Mina had returned with a smile on her face.

Mina said she couldn't hate her. Mina had come to her senses, barely. Mina had hugged her, no, Mina had asked to hug her. Mina had kissed her, you know, sort of. For Chaeyoung, not feeling for the girl, was no longer an option. But she did know that it had to stay all in her head, she was fine with that, it was all a fantasy at the end of the day, she liked fantasies. 

The only thing that mattered now is that Mina did not hate her for being who she was. Mina was still trying. So she went to sleep smiling.

The next morning Chaeyoung was woken up by the same person she had fallen asleep thinking of, so she couldn't help but smile when she opened her eyes even though she was confused about what was she doing there. Mina had been shaking her arm slightly while whispering her name. 

"Wake up," Mina complained.

Chaeyoung rubbed her eyes and sat on her bed a little disoriented. "What happened?"

"Nothing." 

"What? then why are you waking me up?" Chaeyoung had been happy to see Mina but now she just wanted to sleep.

"I mean," Mina seemed embarrassed, "do you have classes today?"

Chaeyoung was confused. "Uh, yeah, just one."

"When?"

Chaeyoung looked for her phone, it was 9am, it wasn't that early but she did not have classes until 1pm, so she felt annoyed. Mina couldn't be possibly waking her up just to ask that. She was going to go back to sleep. Rubbing her eyes again and turning to the other side to keep on sleeping she said, "It's not up until hours, good night." 

But Mina got closer again shaking her arm. "Wake up." 

Chaeyoung groaned. "Why?" She went under the sheets. "Leave me alone." 

"Would you skip that class?" Mina suddenly asked. Chaeyoung was more confused now, why would she ask that. 

"Mina you're not making sense," Chaeyoung said from under her hiding place. "Go back to sleep." At that, she felt weight on top of her and more shaking. 

"I'm telling you to wake up," Mina repeated pulling down the blankets covering Chaeyoung, making her hide her face with her hands. 

"Why?" She cried. "Let me sleep." Chaeyoung was a cry baby.

She had not realized how compromising the position they were in was until Mina took her hands and put them on the side of her head, leaving her with no way out. "Skip classes." 

Chaeyoung was sure her face was red. "Okay, but get off of me." She couldn't be dealing with this so early. 

Mina got out so Chaeyoung sat on her bed again trying to calm down. "Right, why do I have to skip classes?" 

"Because I don't have classes today and," Mina doubted before saying, "you should keep me company." Chaeyoung found that cute and weird at the same time, she didn't answer right away so Mina spoke again, "If you want, but if you don't then you're boring."

Chaeyoung laughed at her, Mina was always demanding things, but it was cute. "But why can't I keep you company after my class?"

Mina thought for a moment, maybe she had not taken that idea into consideration. "Because I'm already awake, I'm bored now."

"You are really bossy, you know."

"Would you hang out with me or not?"

"Yeah, okay," Chaeyoung agreed and tried to lay down again but Mina interrupted her again.

"No. now. Get dressed."

Chaeyoung sighed, her morning sleep was not going to happen. So she got up and obeyed Mina. After some minutes both of them were ready to go out.

"Why can't we stay in the room?"

"Because we are always there," Mina explained. "And I want to enjoy my free time, also I like outside at this hour." Mina had got an email really early saying that her classes for the day had been canceled, apparently, she had not come up with a greater idea than waking Chaeyoung up to drag her outside with her.

It was chilly outside, but they had dressed accordingly and were heading to get coffee to warm up.

"Okay." Chaeyoung was not going to argue. After all, she was more than happy to spend time with her.

The walk was comfortable, Chaeyoung did not like the cold much but she liked how this kind of day looked like. The campus was not crowded, it was nice. They walked in silence until they reached the coffee shop. Mina paid for both of them and went outside again.

"Thank you," Chaeyoung said taking her coffee with both hands to warm them.

"Well I did wake you up is the least I can do."

They walked through a nice path until they reached a bench and sat down, drinking in silence.

Chaeyoung was curious about how things went yesterday because she had seen Mina smiling and all but they didn't get to talk. "Did you talk to Momo?"

Mina took a sip of her coffee before answering. "I did," she said. "Sana too. They were together."

"Was it good?"

"It was weird," Mina began. "At first, but then Sana made a joke, she always does that to make it better for me," Mina smiled at that. "I tried to be as honest as possible."

"That's great, Mina."

"It was all because of you," Mina looked down. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Chaeyoung got flushed but she was proud of her achievement and Mina's progress. After some minutes Mina got up taking Chaeyoung's hand. "Let's go."

"Where?" Chaeyoung was not sure if she liked Mina's hand on hers.

"I don't know, let's just walk." Mina kept on walking without letting go. Chaeyoung wondered if Mina ever gave it a second thought to all these actions. Because Chaeyoung certainly did and she liked them so much that she was curious of how Mina could just do it or if she could feel Chaeyoung's feelings through them, could Mina see how nervous she made her feel? 'It's just a hand, Chaeyoung, stop overthinking everything' But she got lost in thought either way 'Friends are affectionate with each other, it's normal' Chaeyoung knew this, she needed to stop analyzing every movement of affection Mina made. 

"...so you should tell me" Mina finished. 

"What?" Chaeyoung had not heard a word.

"Weren't you listening?" Mina pouted. 'why does she always have to pout, honestly'

"Sorry, I got lost."

"I didn't bring you so you would ignore me," Mina complained.

"Just tell me again." 

"Now I don't want to." She left Chaeyoung's hand to cross her arms. Chaeyoung couldn't help but think how much she liked sulky Mina. 

"Don't be a baby."

"You're the baby," Mina answered back. 

"Then I'm leaving." Chaeyoung turned to leave just to see what Mina would do, to her surprise Mina followed and took her hand again. 'Clingy'

"I was just saying... " She began again as if nothing had happened. "That I don't know what we can do later so you're the one to figure that out for us." 

Chaeyoung laughed, Mina was being really sweet. Or maybe it was just Chaeyoung who thought that everything the girl did was charming.

"Well, we can have lunch at the cafeteria, and then there's this art exhibition at my faculty that I was planning on going to," Chaeyoung proposed. "We can go together if you want." 

"That could work," Mina hummed. "Okay." 

They walked around for a while, occasionally speaking, mostly joking around, and by midday they were heading to the cafeteria. Mina had left her hand and Chaeyoung wondered if it was just because or because now there were more people around. Once inside they got their food and found a table. 

"I should be in class," Chaeyoung remembered. 

"Then go," Mina said. 

"Are you serious right now?" The girl couldn't be saying that now. 

Mina looked at her with a serious face for a while and then started laughing. "You got worried." 

"Why would you say that I thought you actually wanted me to go now." Chaeyoung got slightly scared but it was refreshing to see Mina making jokes. "They wouldn't let me in now, don't play with my feelings."

They kept eating in silence until someone called Mina's name. It was Momo, she was with Sana and they were heading to the table. "Hi," Momo said once they got close. Sana sat next to Chaeyoung and Momo next to Mina. 

"Oh." Mina was surprised. "Hi guys," she finally said. Chaeyoung could see Mina was not expecting to find them. 

"Hello Chaeyoungie," Sana said making Chaeyoung turn to her.

"Hey." Chaeyoung was still somehow sad about the text, she felt guilty. "How are you?" 

"Oh, I'm great," Sana smiled. "How are you guys?" She turned to Mina too. 

"Fine," Mina answered. "We've been just walking around." 

"She woke me up super early," Chaeyoung accused Mina.

"It was not early," Mina defended herself. 

"How early?" Momo asked. 

"Around nine." 

"Oh, then it was early," Momo agreed and Chaeyoung gave a look to Mina 

"See I told you." 

"Whatever," Mina said. "I did not force you to come." She sounded mad, Chaeyoung got worried. The girl had literally got on top of her just so she would agree to come, she couldn't be saying that. She kept quiet and continued eating her food. 

"What are you doing later?" Sana asked.

Mina didn't look up and made no sign of answering so Chaeyoung cleared . "Uh," She hesitated. "We- we just were going to go to this art thingy." 

"What's that?" Momo asked, she did not seem annoyed with Chaeyoung anymore, she even smiled at her when they arrived.

"It's this exhibition at my faculty, it has many themes." 

"Cool," Momo simply said. 

"We should go together," Sana clapped. Chaeyoung looked at Mina, she was already done with her food but was still looking down. 'C'mon Mina don't leave me hanging'

"Yeah, it might be fun," Momo agreed. Mina did not look at Chaeyoung, so she did not know what to do. 

"Uh, yeah I guess." Chaeyoung had no idea what was happening but she was too afraid to ask Mina, that's when Momo helped. 

"What do you think, Minari?" 

Mina looked up, but not at Chaeyoung, and then simply said, "You guys go."

'What?' Chaeyoung was now really confused 'why would I go with her friends and without her' 

"What's the matter?" Sana asked. "You okay?"

Mina smiled. "I just got this headache" Chaeyoung was not sure if that was true. "I rather stay in my room" 

'SHE WOKE ME UP JUST TO SKIP CLASSES AND BE WITH HER WHY WOULD SHE BE ABANDONING ME NOW'  Chaeyoung was mentally screaming, she could not believe Mina. She needed to say no but Mina herself had told them to just go, Chaeyoung was not the smartest to come up with an excuse now. 

"We can take pictures for you, Minari," Momo said and hugged Mina from the side. 

'See, Chaeyoung, friendship' Chaeyoung thought of Momo's action just to help her previous confusing feelings. 

"Get some sleep too," Sana recommended.  Everything was happening so fast Chaeyoung got no time to think and suddenly she was being carried with Sana's hold on her arm outside the cafeteria, where Mina went back to the dorms, and she was stuck with Momo and Sana.

"You okay, Chaeyoungie?" Sana asked. 

"Uh," she was not, "yeah."

"Guide us," Momo smiled. "We should get some ice cream later too." 

"Agreed," Sana said. Chaeyoung was not sure how she got in this situation, everything was going fine, and then she was here. It didn't make sense. Either way, she got to the art thing and they went inside. Sana and Momo were looking around really curious but Chaeyoung was totally distracted. She wanted to see it with Mina. 

"What do you think of this one?" Momo asked her. Chaeyoung barely looked and said that it was okay to which Momo whispered to Sana something that sounded like wasn't she suppose to be an art major but Chaeyoung could not be bothered, she just wanted to leave.

"Chaeyoungie," Sana called after some minutes. "How do you think I should text Tzuyu?"

At that Chaeyoung left her worries aside and turned to Sana. "Oh, right," she said. "Uhm, you just..." But Chaeyoung had no idea how to help, she needed to talk to Tzuyu. "Just invite her out." 

"You always do this Sana, you'll be fine just text her," Momo agreed. 

"Do you have any recommendations?" Sana asked and Chaeyoung did not understand. 

"For what?" She asked and Momo laughed. 

"For when they go out," Momo answered for Sana. "You are a bit slow, Chaeyoung." 

"Right," Chaeyoung had no idea what to answer, it's not like she went on dates much and 'Oh, but I know Tzuyu, right'  "Uhm, just be yourself and..." Chaeyoung had no idea about Tzuyu's type but she guessed Sana was everyone's type. "If you don't know what to say just talk about dogs" 

"Dogs?"

"Yeah, puppies, she likes them. A lot."

"Excellent, thank you Chaeyoungie" Sana smiled as always "Whomever you're dating must be really happy" At that Chaeyoung got confused, she was not dating anyone. 'Oh, right, I did say that to her' She remembered Mina's text. 'Oh, Mina' She got worried again, she needed to leave.

"Who are you dating, if you don't mind me asking," Momo asked 'Oh I do mind, 'cause I have no idea'

"I- I uh," She felt stupid, she was going to complain to Mina later. "It's- it's complicated," she finally said.

"Oh, that's okay."

'Great conversation, now I really need to leave' They had barely seen some of the exhibition, there was so much left, she was not in her best mind so she just suddenly said. 

"Hey, I- I really need to use the restroom," she lied. 

"Oh, want me to go with you?" Sana asked.

"No, it's fine, you guys keep looking around." She was a mess, but after saying that she just left. Once outside she left out a big breath. 'I'm going to kill Mina' 

She felt wrong leaving Mina's friend alone like that, they would expect her to come back, but she was not going to. Because it felt worse not being with Mina. She would have to apologize with some excuse another day. Or she could text Sana now and lie about having a stomachache, that would be believable, wouldn't it? She was finally thinking. So she did that. Sana's chat was full of lies, she felt bad.

Now closer to the dorms she started getting annoyed, why would Mina leave her like that, they were going to argue.

Mina got to her room and in fact, she did get some sleep, but she had no headache. She was completely fine, except for the fact that she had done it again. She had reacted in a way that she could not explain. It was getting really frustrating, not being in control of her emotions. 

She had woken Chaeyoung up because she wanted to spend time with her, not her other friends. So when they decided to tag alone she got completely mad. The worst part is that Chaeyoung had just left. Couldn't she put everything together? Mina believed that she had made it clear she was not in the mood to be with other people. That's why when minutes after she had woken up, and Chaeyoung arrived closing the door, she was ready to complain but her roommate had won her to it. 

"What was that?" Chaeyoung said strongly. "Why would you leave me like that?" 

"You had a choice." 

"I did not, you were annoyed I could tell," Chaeyoung argued, Mina could see how mad she was. "But you said that we should go without you." 

"And so you just left." Mina was starting to doubt she was right.

"I did 'cause you told me to." Chaeyoung was standing next to Mina's bed and Mina was sitting on top. "Sana just grabbed me, your  friends were expecting me to go you should have gone too, we were supposed to go together, did you even had a headache?" 

"Oh, so you just do everything Sana wants." Mina seemed to only get that part out of all Chaeyoung had said. 

"Why would you only get that part!?" Chaeyoung was frustrated. "What's the matter with you and Sana anyway!?" 

"I did not want to go with them!" Mina shouted. "It was pretty clear that I just wanted to hang out with you." 

"Oh, so your solution was to fake a headache and tell me to go with your friends!"  

"Yeah, you were supposed to deny!" 

"How was I supposed to know that, Mina." Chaeyoung lowered her voice a little but she was still angry. "When you want something, you have to say it, I can't guess everything that goes through your mind," Chaeyoung kept going, "I actually have no idea how your mind works it's frustrating." 

Mina had no idea how her mind was working lately either. "What's that suppose to mean," she asked either way. 

But she had not expected Chaeyoung to answer like that. "It means that your actions have consequences and that you're a ing adult, Mina, grow up." Then she turned around and left the room. 

For the first time, she had made Chaeyoung tired of her rushed actions. She was mad at the girl, but she blamed herself. 'It must take a lot to make her mad' Mina was left alone, sad and completely confused. This time she didn't have Chaeyoung's arms to hide in.
