Summary

Ever heard of the term fighting like cats and dogs? That was probably how it was like for the cat and dog hybrid duo who ended up staying in the same house due to some misunderstanding. But there's also the term opposites attract so maybe there's more to their arguments than it seems?

He couldn't stand it. He literally couldn't. Again, the dog hybrid had scattered his clothes everywhere in the apartment like it was nobody's business except it was his business since he lived in the same goddamn house and he liked the place clean. Not to mention, his fur was also everywhere. Even though they only had minimal animal features, the dog hybrid literally shed way more than Minhyun excepted. His gold fur would pop up every so often in a little fur ball. The cat hybrid did shed as well but he often groomed himself so it wouldn't make such a mess and he thought it would be considerate to at least do that but it seemed like his housemate didn't think the same. He gathered up all the clothes and tossed them into a single corner, sneezing a little from all the fur. Was it going to be shedding season soon for him? Minhyun grumbled and took the vacuum, starting it up and cleaning the place up.

After making sure every corner of the living room was rid of any fur, he stormed to his housemate's room and knocked on the door. It took awhile for the other to respond and opened up. Immediately, Minhyun sneezed again and startled the other.

"Oh god. Your room is so dusty," Minhyun complained and the dog hybrid shrugged. There was definitely fur balls flying around in the air itself. Minhyun shoved the vacuum into his hands and hissed. "Could you at least try to groom your fur so it won't keep flying around everywhere?"

"Oh, come on. I shed everyday. Do you know how tiring it is to always keep grooming it?" his housemate grumbled in return, his tail and ears drooping while Minhyun's animal features were hidden.

"Well, I don't care. I don't want to stay with you if you keep this up. I can barely even sit in the living room without having to clean up first every time."

"Then don't use the living room."

"Hey! It's a shared space so at least have the decency to keep your underwear where it belongs too! I don't need to know that you wear bright colored underwear either."

"Living with you is seriously the worst."

Minhyun hissed at his housemate again, baring his canines at the other who pouted. "If you don't like it, shift out."

Although they both knew they couldn't since in their current society now, hybrids like them have limited places that allowed them to stay in and usually two hybrids aren't even allowed to stay together just in case fights happen and it gets bloody. It just so happened that the both of them were domestic type of hybrids and they were both finding for a place to stay in. The old landlord had originally thought Minhyun was human since he happened to be wearing a cap the day he viewed the house and his tail was also kept tucked around his waist which was how the two hybrids ended up staying in the same house. Minhyun found out Baekho was a dog hybrid relatively easy since the other didn't bother hiding his ears or tail as they stood out brightly. He had ears that could flop and stand perfectly so Minhyun guessed he was some kind of mixed breed. His long golden tail was also rather fluffy, confirming Minhyun's suspicions that the landlord had definitely mistaken him for a human. But knowing how difficult it was to find another place to stay, Minhyun didn't have the gall to tell the landlord about him being a hybrid so he just had to it up and stay with the messy dog hybrid. He also kept his animal traits hidden from his housemate, afraid the other would tell the landlord and he would get chased out for lying. Not that he did, he was just mistaken for a human so technically it wasn't his fault either and he did look human for most parts. His cat ears were often camouflaged with his hair whenever he styled them up and he always kept his tail around his waist so he wouldn't disturb anyone with its swaying. He only ever let it out in his room when he was the only one around and made sure to keep the door locked so his housemate won't ever barge in by accident.

"You know I can't!" Baekho barked back and Minhyun crossed his arms.

"Then you better start doing something about your mess. You can't expect me to always keep cleaning up after you. It's your fur and clothes!"

Baekho grumbled and shut the door. Minhyun was about to knock again just to continue nagging him but the sound of the vacuum starting up made Minhyun decide to back off a little for now. He decided to check the other areas of the house to make sure it was clean. Even if he was also just renting the house, it didn't mean he can't keep it clean. The kitchen was barely used by the both of them since neither of them cooked much. Minhyun preferred to go out and eat while Baekho ordered takeout so the rubbish bin was always filled with all sorts of boxes ranging from Chinese food to pizza. At least he knew to throw them into the bin instead of scattering it all around. After checking everything, he finally settled down on the couch and Baekho came out with the vacuum in hand. The dog hybrid made his way to Minhyun and placed a hand on his hip with a scowl on his face.

"I did what you asked. Now what."

Minhyun blinked at the hybrid. Now what? "Wash the vacuum?"
