(FLASHBACK) 

IRENE’s POV

Studying at school is probably the most boring thing to do. I am in fourth grade and I am the type of student that doesn’t have many friends. But hey, I’m known all over the school because my Uncle is the director of the school.  I am in the top of our class since I am in 1st grade. Books are my friends since the people don’t want to be friends with me. It is the first day of school and I am bored, well, it is obvious in my position, My head is laying down on my arms on top of my desk. I am listening to the teacher, but me eyes keep on closing. I am sleepy.

“So, let’s welcome, your new classmate, Nayeon”  I heard the teacher said and I heard my classmate are giving her an applause. But I don’t care.

“Nayeon, dear, sit down beside Irene over there” I heard the teacher said. And as I heard my name, my eyes flashed shut and I woke up as I felt that someone pulled the chair beside me. I jerked up and looked at her and she just flashed me a smile. She’s cute, her teeth are like a bunny and she wears glasses.

“Do you mind?” the girl asked

I shook my head and she thanked me as she sat down

She extended her hands for a handshake and she smiled wider. 

“I’m Nayeon” I heard her said, I don’t know what came into me but I just shook her hands and told her my name maybe it was because It is my first time to find a friend.

And ever since then, nerds have always had a space in my heart knowing that my first friend was a nerd.

Nayeon and I became friends, correction, best friends. I also met Yeri and Seulgi as they’ve transferred to the school after Nayeon transferred. It was almost a year since I first met Nayeon and I can feel something changed on my feeelings for her. I had a hunch that I like Nayeon but I was not sure yet, so I asked Yeri and Seulgi if this is love that I am feeling, and after telling the both of them. They said that I don’t just like Nayeon, they said that I love her already. And so,the two had helped me to confess to the girl that I love.
