Twenty Two
Summoning the SupernaturalJun didn’t follow me into the cafeteria. Instead, he decided to return to the nurse’s office to go over something with Seokmin. Seokmin, on the other hand, wasn’t as prepared to talk to Jun. he visibly tensed when the demon walked through the door, making it a little too obvious that he didn’t trust him.
“Relax,” Jun started off, not entirely put off by his attitude. “I’m not her newly bonded.”
“Then who is?”
Jun shrugged. “Your guess is as good as mine. She was fine leaving the hospital, but I don’t know who she could’ve met for the short time she was alone in there.”
“If she really did bond with someone, what was this morning about?”
“I really don’t know what’s up with her. But she barely got out of bed this morning. She even made me drive to school while she took a nap. Which, knowing her, wouldn’t be that weird except that she never lets anyone drive her precious car.”
Seokmin didn’t say anything for a while. Then, “why did you come here?”
Once again, Jun shrugged. “I graduated high school two years ago. It as much I remember it did. I could use a break from the stress of whatever the is going on in my life.”
Seokmin looked at him sympathetically. Jun was always so cool and collected and he very easily adapted to new situations. He always looked so comfortable and confident that it was easy to forget that this was just as sudden for him as it was for the rest of us. “I’m sorry this had to happen to you,” Seokmin told him.
Jun shrugged in response. “It’s fine,” was all he said.
“It’s not fine. Your entire life must’ve been uprooted when Mei summoned you.”
