Summoning the Supernatural"Alright!" Seungcheol exclaimed, clapping his hands together excitedly. "Now that I'm sure we three understand the threat we're facing, let's talk."
I swear I saw just the tiniest glint of mischief dancing around in those striking gray eyes of his. But before I could call his evil out, Seungkwan stumbled back into my room.
"Yeah," he said as sarcastically as he possibly could. "Now, let's talk." He kept his hands pointedly covering his mouth but Seungcheol just rolled his eyes at his antics.
"That was nothing," Seungcheol brushed off our alarmed gazes. "But it was important for the two of you to understand exactly how big of a threat we're facing."
"Okay but why?" Seungkwan complained. "Why was that necessary? I already faced the loss of my finger. Did I really need to lose my lunch too?"
"Yes," Seungcheol told him and the way he said it made even Seungkwan sober up. "There will never be a time where something exists that's more important than you understanding exactly what's going on right now," he continued. "People. Are. Dying," he enunciated, making sure his meaning was crystal clear. "Worse, they're going missing because these butterflies are burning through their very existence, leaving absolutely nothing left. Of course, no one's really noticed because the butterflies are smart. They attack sporadically and only target one or two people at a time. But mark my words, this trend will not continue. The butterflies are getting bolder. Soon, we'll be facing a catastrophe beyond any of our imaginations. Meaning, we need to act. Fast."
"Alright," I responded, nodding my head slowly. "So what do we do?" Seungcheol just looked at me. "I mean," I continued. I was starting to feel the pressure a little bit, not going to lie. "You bring up really excellent points with the whole death thing and whatnot. Except you seem to overlook the minor—but nonetheless critical—fact that I don't know what I'm doing."
