After waking up late and a long day of shopping, the sun was finally starting to dip towards the horizon. All I really wanted to do in that moment was curl up into a ball on the sidewalk and sleep this nightmare away. But instead, I grabbed Jun and ran towards the scream.

Jun rushed after me to the back of the bubble tea shop and what we saw there made me absolutely sick to my stomach. Lying in a pool of blood was the mutilated corpse of a human being. Who the person was, whether male, female, young, or old, was interminable. It looked like whoever did this to them, had eaten half the body, leaving behind only some torn flesh, stained red and bare bones in some places. I could've sworn I was moments away from throwing up. The sight in front of me was so horrid that I couldn't even lament the fact that I would never be able to find my favorite drink appealing to my appetite again. And the smell. Oh god, the smell.

"Was this person the one to scream?" Jun asked, sounding every bit as repulsed as I felt. The difference between the two of us is that laying eyes upon something as traumatic as this did not in any way hinder his observational skills.
