Thirty Five
Summoning the SupernaturalSeungkwan and I locked eyes. He didn't say anything at first, just stared on thoughtfully.
"You came from school, right?" He asked after a moment. I nodded, somewhat confused by his question.
Seungkwan finished signing some forms then smiled charmingly at the nurse in charge. With his good hand, he grabbed me by the elbow and steered me over in the direction of the parking lot, where my car was patiently waiting for us. "Are the rest of your bonded still there?"
I shrugged and started pulling out my phone. "Probably. I'll ask Jun."
Seungkwan nodded. "Then we go there. It's about time I meet everyone, don't you think?"
"I—" Strangely enough, I had never thought about introducing Seungkwan to Jun and the rest. Being with him felt like I was taking a break from the bull I get from Minghao and Seokmin. It had never occurred to me that the ultimate plan included those two worlds colliding and everyone working together.
A small, selfish part of me dreaded this meeting. In a way, Seungkwan was my escape. I didn't want to mix him in with everyone else. But a bigger, more rational part of me was ready for this. We had work to do, after all.
A quick glance at my phone screen revealed that everyone was still crammed into the nurses' office and Jun would ensure it remained so. So, I put my car in reverse and pulled out of the parking lot.
We almost made it to the school, you know. We were maybe two blocks away when some idiot decided to jump RIGHT in front of my car.
I slammed on the breaks, hard. My car came screeching to a halt and both mine and Seungkwan's heads flew forward. I thanked my lucky stars that there were no cars behind me. This wasn't a particularly busy street,
