Bars and clubs are never his thing. The loud music, abnoxious people everywhere, dancing and grinding their bodies and the smell of sweat and cheap perfumes... No. He rather just stay at some outskirts of the town and enjoy the breeze and the quietness.

But his friends thought differently from him. They liked the clubs and everything that came with it. They liked flirting with people older than them and they seriously loved sleeping around.

And right now, he clutched his bottle and regretted why he agreed to come along. The music was making his head hurt and the smell of the bar was making him sick. Not forgetting people that randomly comes up to talk with him.

He hated everything.

But that was until he spotted a pair of very familiar looking eyes that was staring at him. He thought that maybe he will recognise those eyes anywhere in the world.

"Yo Kai," Chen appeared in his line of vision, cutting off the eyes he thought he had caught, all drunk and tipsy. "Come and dance with us. Have some fun, ya'know."

Kai had never felt much stronger in his lifetime to beat the out of this guy. And there were enough reasons. Firstly, Chen was being annoying. They all knew it well and good that he disliked coming to clubs. Having come here along with them had been good enough and he is coaxing him to come dance? Plus ARI, the Ari was sitting just some feet away from them which means she may have heard Chen call him Kai!

Chapter 66: I finished this in one go. And I'm thinking what to comment, actually reading this makes me think hard. About Ari, about Kai and all life stuff. lol. anyway, this hurts knowing if only Kai reached out to her, by then this won't end like this. But then again, its in human nature so I understand Kai. He is selfish to only think of his own problems but he is already drowning in his own demons to see that others are suffering as well. But I'm happy everything turns out well for him in the end. And I also salute Ari, she fight long enough though she decided to give up and rest in the end. She is brave enough to at least help and be there for Kai even if she is also drowning in her own demons.

Thank you for this one and I hope you are okay now. If in any case you need someone just to listen to you and has no one else, you can PM me. Cheers for more great work Ms. Author 💙

Chapter 66: This hurts

But I'm grateful for your final message. Life is precious, no matter how difficult at the time. I didn't end up as Ari but I did have a time like her. It's hard not to drown in our own pain and miss that of others. I feel reminded to see beyond myself.

I hope you (and fellow readers) always take care <3
