Namjoon ran his fingers through Mimi’s hair as he watched her sleep. It was peaceful to see her sleeping face resting against his chest. He could lay there forever and watch her sleep, but great things never last and it was time to come to reality.

“Mimi, wake up. You’ve slept for too long. If you sleep more, you’ll feel like ” he warned her, fingers still combing through her hair. She hummed and rubbed her face into his chest, as if that would block out his voice and sunlight that came through the window.

“You can’t zone me out. If I’m up, you’re up!” he stopping running his fingers through her hair and just left it resting on the top of her head. “I never made you get up when I was up.” she groaned through his shirt.

“That’s because you’re nice. I’m not!” he smirked. “I’m sick. Be nice.” she whined, trying to win about another hour of sleep. “You were sick, now you’re not” he pulled on her ear, making her get up.

“You win.” she glared at him as she sat up. “I always do” he smirked.

“Tomorrow will be the finish of the trial. Jin and Jongkook still need to testify. You know Jin will be honest as possible, but you know Jongkook will try and get you the death sentence. I will try my best not to have any of that happen- especially since Lawyer Lim is adamant about it as well.”

“Mimi, it’s 8 in the morning. I rather not think about my impending death sentence at this time.” he stood up and stretched his body, removing all the kinks from his body from the uncomfortable hospital mattress.

Her eyes perked. She should have known that. Her mind has been so focused on work that it has taken over all she wants to talk about. She was completely unaware how unobservant about such a scary topic that was.

While he was still stretching, she wrapped her arms around him and let her chin rest on his chest so she could look up at him. He cocked his brow at her gesture.

“Do you wanna ditch and go have fun?” she said in a quiet cheerful tone. His dimples appeared once more from a smile that spread of his face from her random mischievous suggestion.

“You want to ditch the doctors and have a date?” he repeated back to her. She nodded, smile still spread on her face.

“Won’t that get you in trouble since I’m not supposed to leave the hospital? I’m not even supposed to be here in general. It'll be extremely bad if someone caught us, especially for you”.

“Who cares. I don’t care. One last time, let’s go have meat and we can do whatever you want to.”

“Should we?” he ruffled her hair after letting out a long sigh of defeat, “Alright. Get changed”.

A sudden knock startled the two of them.

A curtain separated them from the visitor. “Minyoung, are you changing?”

“Lawyer Lim” Mimi mouthed to Namjoon before she shoved him into the room’s bathroom and shut the door. Of course Lawyer Lim would come to halt their festivities.

“You can come through” she stammered, fixing herself before greeting the man. He handed her a small bouquet of flowers, “I’m sorry for not visiting you sooner, but I had my own personal things to attend to first”.

Mimi thanked him for the flowers, she wasn’t expecting him at all. “It’s no problem, I am thankful that you came. Besides visitation, what may I help you with?” Mimi asked nervously, wanting him to leave.

Lim sat down in the visitors chair in the corner, making himself comfortable- which made Mimi cringe with anxiety. She wanted him gone and the fact that Namjoon was a door away made her sweat. This could ruin everything.
