The motivated girl
It is our fate to meet and fall in loveIt was the weekends. Two days before the math quiz.
Ji Hyo was frantically revising for the quiz, making up for the lost knowledge and time she missed.
On the other hand, Jong Kook was quite free as he had no lessons. He did his gym exercises in the morning to keep fit. But after that, he had absolutely nothing to do.
He walked around the house, feeling bored until he saw Ji Hyo's house.
Jong Kook snapped his fingers, as if he thought of something ingenious.
"Ah why not I go visit halmeoni and Ji Hyo??" Jong Kook talks to himself.
He quickly go and change his clothes and headed to Ji Hyo's grandma's house.
He knocked onto the door.
Ji Hyo's grandma opens the door. "Oh seon saengnim!!"
"Halmeoni, are you well all these days?" Jong Kook asks, while presenting her with a fruit basket.
"Ah I'm good...omo, why spend on this, seon saengnim? Do you want to come in?"
Jong Kook nodded readily. He steps into the house and looks around.
"Is Ji Hyo revising?" Asked Jong Kook to her grandma.
"Ah neh...Seon saengnim..she has never been so hardworking before..yah...it is really a miracle.." Ji Hyo's grandma smiles from eye to eye.
"That's good..I hope that she is consistent with her work.."
"Seon saengnim...why not you help her with the questions? I think she is stuck with some.."
"Really? No problem..where is she?" Jong Kook looked around but there was no sign of Ji Hyo.
"She is at our backyard. Go through the backdoor and you will see her.." Ji Hyo's grandma tells Jong Kook.
"Arasso.." Jong Kook smiles and he runs cutely to the door and opens it.
Ji Hyo was sitting above a wooden table and she was studying under the sunlight outdoors.
"Song Ji Hyo..." Jong Kook called Ji Hyo in a sweet tone.
Ji Hyo looked up.
"Oh..seon saengnim..why are you here?" Ji Hyo looks at Jong Kook with her black spectacles.
"Why can't I be here? I am here to be concerned about your studies..Song Ji Hyo.."
He passes Ji Hyo a cup. "I bought you coffee...ice americano.." He smiles.
"Oh jinjja..gomawo, seon saengnim..." Ji Hyo was grinning as she sips a bit of the cold refreshing americano after sitting outdoors in a hot spring day. Because Ji Hyo wanted to save on electricity bills, she always studied outdoors on this table.
"Jota.." Ji Hyo sighs a bit once she satisfied her caffeine craving and she continued studying, ignoring Jong Kook.
Jong Kook sat down beside Ji Hyo on the long wooden table.
"Ji Hyo ah..you don't have a proper table to study?" He asks curiously.
"Anioh..if not why will I study here..seon saengnim, my house isn't so big.."
"Jinjjaro? Let me think..why not you come to my house to study? Your back will ache if you study like that.." Jong Kook watches Ji Hyo bend her back as she writes against the table.
"Ani..gwenchana..I want to be here...it is okay for me...I am used to it..." Ji Hyo answers shortly and she continues studying.
"But this isn't good for your back..."
"Aye..seon saengnim..you are distracting me here! Go home, pali!!" Ji Hyo was just saying casually, she didn't mean it.
Of course, Jong Kook didn't take her words seriously too.
"Shiro..I don't want to go...halmeoni said you have questions that you don't know..what is it?" Jong Kook changes the topic and he remains sitting on the table.
"Hmm..this..seon saengnim...I don't know how to do this..." Ji Hyo smiles and they look at the textbook together.....
A few hours passed very fast. And it was time for dinner.
