“We need to buy you some clothes,” I mumbled incoherently to myself as I looked through my closet. I wasn't searching for any of my clothes since I knew Sehun obviously wouldn't fit in them, don't be stupid. I was searching in Baekhyun's clothes that I had stacked previously beside my own folded outfits in my wardrobe. My hands were visibly shaking, my eyes were disoriented from lack of sleep. It has been officially four days since I’ve found Sehun, and let me tell you, it was four days of horror.

Yesterday, I told Sehun he could try and sleep in my room this time instead of the card to try the way of humans and how we hibernate. He had agreed so fast it made me wonder if I made the right decision. Apparently; I didn't. Sehun was awake the entire night, gossiping about the dragons he had caught earlier in the day, and the fairies of the dark forest he, and I quote, ‘found myself wander into while I was busy saving the princess of Cilicest,’ I don't know if Cilicest is a name of the city he created in his head, or the name of the said princess. I told Sehun to just go to sleep and he had accused me of being against his rights and that I wasn't treating him good as I told him I would.

So I just let him speak gibberish while I tried to sleep myself. Since I’m a light sleeper, I couldn't even have a wink of sleep and was awake all night listening to his rants, until it was morning where he told me he wanted to experience human food and demanded that I make him some breakfast. I wanted him to feel as comfortable as he can, as normal as he wanted to be, so I didn't exactly protest and hurried to make him the meal he desired. Of course after he had tried the cereal I made him, he told me it was the worst experience in his life.

Now, it was already nearing afternoon, and I was so, so tired that I could fall down in any place and fall asleep. But instead of sleeping, I decided to change my clothes and wear something proper. I found Baekhyun's outfit clean and folded beside mine, and I was hit with a wave of nostalgia. He was very soft spoken, he was kind; and he actually tried to cooperate with me – unlike some spoiled brat – I kind of miss him, despite the awful things he had tried to do to me. I know he has a reason for trying to murder me – it better be a damn good one – and I know I should give him a chance. But Sehun was so overwhelming, so bothering that it give me no time to think about ideas of handling Baekhyun. I didn't even release him from his card for four days now, and I wonder if something would happen to him.

There was a snort from behind me, coming straight from my bed. I didn't look back from my distress to know Sehun was mocking me. “Oh wow, you figured that yourself, little girl?” I sighed heavily at him and turned around to see him lying down on my bed like he owns it, his eyes looking at the ceiling and looking all knowing. Sometimes I wondered if Sehun actually knew something I didn't. But the moment he starts mumbling about his invisible dragons and fairies, I start doubting him.

“Just wear this at the moment. I have to go ask for money,” I weakly threw a pair of sweats at him and a large t-shirt I had stolen from my dad once when I realized it had a Brooklyn sign on it, which is my absolute favorite. Sehun huffed at me, and looked at the clothes with a blank look before taking them and vanishing inside his card. I blew on a defeated sigh before I head downstairs.

“Mom?” I called out for her with a low voice, having no energy left for me to use my megawatt voice. My mom replied back at me from the kitchen, and I could have imagined my dad grunting at me as a reply. I strolled inside the kitchen absentmindedly, not even bothering to sit down at the table – was my mom making food? For what occasion?

“Honey, can you wait for a bit? I’m making this cupcake for your dad..—holy baby girl, what happened to you?” My mother doesn't really curse, so I must look like a complete wreck. I looked away from her horrified eyes, and looked down at my outfit. It wasn't anything much, but it wasn't rags as well, so I bet it was my nest-like hair and swollen eyes that attracted this look on my mother’s face. I looked at my father with a sad pout, and he choked on his hot tea when he realized I did in fact look like a monster.

“I didn't have enough sleep yesterday,” I grumbled unattractively while sitting down beside dad with a loud and grumpy demeanor, knocking on an innocent glass with my hand as I stretched across the table like an octopus. My mom sat down beside me hurriedly after placing the cake in the oven, patting my head tenderly with a coo.

“You look like you haven't had enough sleep for decades,” she said, her fingers lingering a little on my spinal cord before she lifts her hand up. I whined at the loss of warm contact and scratched my hair.

“Anyways, I need some money.”

“For what?” My dad gave me his infamous look that screamed tell-me-what-you-want-with-my-precious-money and I found myself groaning because can't he just give me money without asking me the reason for once in his life? I’m old enough to be responsible for the things I buy. I pouted at him because I don't exactly have an answer for his question. I mean what should I tell him when they don't even know about me possessing a new card? They would probably flip a table and ground me for not telling them about it, because they are just that dramatic.

“Well?” my dad urged impatiently.

“I don't have a reason. It's just I’m broke and I’m saving money for my new apartment. I need some feminine presence in my life,”

“Did you just make gender out of money?” I grinned at my dad and gave him an innocent look because I was not in the mood to explain myself and principles and why I’m feminizing it in the first place. My mother then smiled and headed to get her purse from her room with a small “I’ll be back,” before she skips her way to the room. To be honest I never really ask for money like normal teenagers from my parents, and they were the ones that decided to give me a monthly allowance. I honestly don't need the money because my parents provide me with anything I want, and my mom always tried to give me money when I don't ask, saying that I should be more like a normal teenager. So I could understand why she was delighted about handing me money willingly.

“Here,” my mom appeared in front of me all of a sudden with a big wad of money in her hands, in which she was offering it with a huge grin on her face. Both mine and my father’s jaws fell down on the ground because that was a huge amount of money.

“This much?” I exclaimed, and I found my dad eyeing my mom like she was an alien. She only giddily smiled and shoved the money to my chest – it was probably more than two hundred dollars in ten dollar bills form – my dad gave her a glare, and despite me hating money, I wanted to tell him to stop being mean and let him pay up something too for his only child.

“You never ask for money, and since you didn't want me to buy you that apartment. This is all for you,” my mom grinned again, and with a sigh of absolute content sat down beside me, patting me with a more tender smile this time.

“You're welcome,”

                                ***

I took both Sehun’s and Baekhyun's cards with me when I was out the house, this time I made sure to take my purse with me to put the money my mother gave me inside. I kissed Sehun’s card while putting Baekhyun's card in my purse when I was outside the house and in a place with zero humans. Sehun materialized in front me with gushes of air like how he usually come out, and I found it absolutely dramatic.

Sehun stared at me with his piercing cold eyes, his gray hair glinting at the presence of the still hot sun. He was – thankfully – wearing the clothes I had given him, and he honestly looked so good with the sweats hanging loosely on his hipbone, the t-shirt was a little big on him since he wasn't exactly buff like my father, but good on him regardless. I immediately pursed my lips at the scowl on his lips, and didn't pay him any attention as I twirled around and told him to follow me.

The walk to the shop was silent, and I was surprised since Sehun never stops talking. He never shuts his mouth and keeps muttering nonsense, so his silence for now made me worried. I peeked a look at him from the corner of my eyes, and I found him looking down at his feet, a softer look in his eyes that made me flabbergasted. I dragged my eyes to look at his feet as well, feeling my mind going blank the longer I stared at his boot clad feet.

“Why are you still doing this?” his sudden question surprised me, but not as much as the gentle tone in his voice. There was no malice, no hatred; nothing beside softness and perhaps something along sadness and remorse. I found my heart jump in my chest, especially when he peeked a look at me from under his long lashes. Right now, he looked like a small kid, a young aged person asking his older sister a question. I found myself smiling a little at
