Suho hissed when I pressed a little too strongly on his wound. Since he wasn't healing anymore, and the blood kept flowing down his cheek, I decided to treat it the usual, old way of us humans. I dabbed a cotton filled with a bluish liquid that is good for wounds on his cheek (I was never good with medical terms), and Suho didn't stop hissing and glaring at me for the immense pain he was feeling.

Sehun was sitting beside me and watching with wide, amazed eyes, and I felt like rolling my eyes every time he would express his amazement with a loud wow. Suho tried to pull his head away from my grip, but I wrapped my arm around his neck and pulled him closer. We both blinked at the sudden proximity, and I felt my cheeks redden, but even then I didn't let him go. I could literally feel his eyes boring holes through my own, but I pretended I didn't see him and continued fixing his wound.

“Why would he do that?” Xiumin, who was sitting on my bed, asked with a worried tone, and I could see Suho’s eyes wander to him for a minute before looking back at me. “He wanted me to do things I didn't want to do, and he thought it would be good to punish me,”

“By ing up your card?” Baekhyun cursed, and I could detect the obvious venom echoing out of his tone. I was surprised, that Baekhyun was able to curse, voicing out such vulgar words. When I peeked at him, I found his fist tightening on top of his thigh. He caught me staring at him, and I sent him a small smile, hoping that it would come out as comforting as I wanted it to be. He looked away from me, and I thought I saw his fist tighten even more. I looked back at Suho’s wound, and I couldn't help but frown. The bleeding hasn't stopping at all, even though it was starting to lessen. The gash started from the corner of his left eye all the way to his lips, stopping there. It was ugly, and bloody, but Suho was still beautiful.

“I don't understand,” I finally spoke after a long period of staying silent. The boys all looked at me in the same time, and I became self-conscious all of a sudden by their burning stares. I shook the stupid feeling away, and concentrated back on Suho’s still dripping opened wound. “Why isn't he healing? Because he had hurt his card? I don't get it,”

“Well, Hani,” Sehun started speaking almost immediately, and I snapped my eyes towards him momentarily. “We can never be hurt if you hurt us physically, since we heal quickly and the pain vanishes as it never happened. The only way to leave a permanent scar is by doing it to our cards, since our souls are practically emitted from them,”

“But Suho’s wounds are worse than usual wounds. He is still bleeding and this is the third time I changed the towel,” it was clear in my voice that I’m starting to panic, and the fourth towel I had brought to wipe Suho’s blood away was already getting soaked. Suho’s eyes were on me the entire time, and I couldn't understand the way he was looking at me. He was so calm, so stable that I’m starting to grow alarmed. He was almost acting like a robot, like this is a normal part of his life cycle, to be severely wounded like this, without healing at all. I gave him a scolding look, because he shouldn't be this calm, he shouldn't be this composed when he's losing so much blood. He only stared at me, completely ignoring my look.

“Our main weakness is our cards, which is why Wielders tend to hide them away through battles or even when they're asleep. When we get hurt through our cards, the wounds appear on us, and they don't heal fast, like normal humans, but even worse,” Xiumin explained this time, his tone pained and strained, like this is a conversation he doesn't really want to be a part of at all. I sent him a smile, hoping that it would ease his troubled heart. He sent me a similar one, softer, and much more tender than what I was used to from him. I couldn't help but feel my heart fall down loudly at his gesture and then soar up in one single thump.

“When is he gonna start healing?”

“I think, looking at the shape of his wound, three to four weeks? And it would leave a permanent scar,” Baekhyun muttered softly, and suddenly, he was sitting next to me on his knees, squinting his eyes and examining Suho’s wounds closely. I copied him, trying to see what he's exactly seeing for him to be able to calculate such a period. I admit, he had always been smart to me, but I couldn't help but want to see what he's seeing in a simple wound. Baekhyun looked away to stare at me with a ridiculed look, and I grinned back at him. I swore, there was amusement swimming in his orbs. He then arose from his position and went back to his usual spot on the couch.

“Would it still bleed until then as well?” I asked, horrified of the possibility of his wound bleeding two or three weeks later. Xiumin let out a chuckle, and I breathed a sigh of releif almost immediately. “Not exactly, the bleeding would stop within twenty four hours tops,”

“Why are you silent, Suho?” I suddenly questioned Suho, taking the fifth white towel in my hands and wiping Suho’s oozing blood. The boy was still looking at me, and I felt kind of annoyed with the way he was just so silently staring at me. Suho smiled a little, and the genuine feel in it, the softness and gentleness of it that Suho usually doesn't show made my insides churn for the millionth time.

“It's just, you don't know a lot of things. You look clueless,”

“She is clueless,” Sehun snickered, and I smacked him on his arm, making him pout pathetically. How many times should I tell this not to point me as clueless? Suho’s gaze ghosted over Sehun's face, before furrowing his eyebrows at the boy. “Sehun-ah, you don't have any hallucinations anymore? You seem… fine?” my face, along with Sehun’s changed at his question, while mine was filled with surprise that he actually knew about the boy’s hallucinations even though they haven't seen each other in over fifty years, Sehun’s face was completely different. He was radiating with happiness and joy that looked too foreign in Sehun’s face.

“Yup! I don't know why exactly, but I haven't been seeing them lately. Isn’t that awesome?”

“More like odd,” Suho commented, still frowning, and I found myself frowning as well at the dejection in his tone. I peeked at the others plus Sehun, and I found them all frowning in confusion over Suho’s words as well. “Why are you saying that?” Suho looked over at Xiumin, and I could have sworn there was something close to amusement in his orbs.

“You actually haven't thought something is off about.. all of this?” Suho then pointed at me with his finger, rudely if I may add, and my face scrunched up wholly because why is this boy so rude and flirting at the same time? Is he like facing some split personality disorder?

“Hani is kind of strange, don't you think? She actually has three of you in her grip and she seems absolutely fine. Sehun says he is no longer facing any hallucinations and he has been having them even when we were, um, before. What are the odds that she is the cause of that? Not to mention that I could literally feel something strange emitting from her, something quite powerful, and I’m sure you all have felt it too. I’m not trying to be an here, but she is kind of suspicious, right?” Suho ended his lecture with a smirk directed to me, and I didn't have to look behind myself to know that all of the boys were looking at me as well. I suddenly felt self-conscious, and the way they were staring at me like I’m going to puff out wasn't easing my nervousness at all. I tried giving off some chuckles, but they were obviously fooling no one.

“Why are we suddenly talking about this? Aren't we supposed to steal your card from the teacher?”

“I’m being very concerned with you right now, Hani,” Suho answered with a straight face that terrified me, and I kind of got the message with the way he was staring at me. So now that Sehun’s magically healed with his hallucinations, I’m suddenly someone of danger to them? I’m all new to this, and I’m not even sure why they think I’m because of owning three cards. I’m sure some people have billions of cards, and they're accusing me of suspicion upon having three?

“I don't get it,” I admitted, my eyebrows meeting in the middle in absolute distraught. “I haven't even known you existed a week ago, and now you're concerned about me?”

“That’s exactly what I mean, Hani,” Suho let out a small, strained smile, and I had the impression he was holding onto his growing anger over my supposed cluelessness. “How did a newbie like you earn three of my brothers?”

“What actually makes them so special?” I burst out, frustrated that he was talking in riddles instead of just laying it out to me like a man.

“Are you pretending not to know?” he frowned, and I found my eyes widen in disbelief because why does he think I’m pretending to be an idiot? “Why would I pretend, Suho? I genuinely don't know anything about this world at all,”

“It's true,” finally, Baekhyun opened his mouth and said something. “She had found me first, I was there when her parents explained to her everything regarding our world,” he explained, and I wanted to give him a big kiss because he actually said something nice for once. I gave Suho a smug face. I honestly couldn't hold it in because the surprise in his face was just too much, despite the seriousness of the situation.

“You haven't answered my question,” I annoyingly announced in a loud voice, giving Suho the stink face. He glared at me heatedly, and I kind of missed the old, flirty Suho. “Why would I tell you anything? I don't trust you,”

“Fine! I’ll just ask people who do,” I twirled my entire body, facing Xiumin who suddenly tensed. He was practically faced by a glaring stubborn female and male, and I know he wasn't comfortable with the attention he was receiving.

“Xiumin,” Suho warned, and I snapped my head at Suho and smacked his arm. “Don't Xiumin him! You cheater! Xiumin-ah~” I then turned to Xiumin with what I hope is a cute and pathetic pout to make him waver. My eyes were as large as a puppy’s and I was sure Xiumin wouldn't resist them just like how everyone around me couldn't. Xiumin’s stare flickered from me to Suho’s, and I was sure Suho wouldn't have mercy on him as well, except with glares and heated huffs like a bull.

“I.. I..”

“Don't say anything!”
