Xiumin's POV

I stopped watching the TV when Hani's cellphone rang loudly. I blinked my eyes and glanced at the girl sleeping soundlessly in her bed. It was already three in the afternoon, and her parents would be here in fifteen minutes. She was sleeping with wide open, and her eyes were not fully closed. Even then, she looked adorable to me, and I couldn't help but smile a little at the sight.

I saw Joonmyeon head to her and slap her alarm off, peering down at her like she's the most precious gem to him. He started to poke her tenderly on her cheek, and I couldn't help but snicker at the way she slapped his fingers away every time he poked her. She started to groan loudly and she tried swatting his hand away. Joonmyeon started to laugh softly at her, and there was a strange twinkling in his eyes that I haven't seen the guy show at all in my whole life knowing him.

“Hey, Hani,” Joonmyeon called the girl softly, tracing his fingers upon her cheeks tenderly. I somehow thought it tickled, and I found myself unconsciously scratching that area on my own cheek. “You need to wake up. Your parents will be here in like, ten minutes,”

“Fifteen,” Baekhyun corrected boringly, watching the TV with bleary eyes. I rolled my eyes at him, darting my eyes to Sehun, who was loudly munching on his pepper flavored chips, his eyes concentrated and absorbed on the series in the TV, completely unlike Baekhyun. I glanced back at Joonmyeon to catch him struggling with Hani, trying to pull her out of the bed by pulling on her arms. The girl whined and groaned like a child that I just had to stand up from my place to look at her from a close proximity. She looked cute with her droopy eyes and pouting lips.

“I’m tired~” she whined, and Joonmyeon rolled his eyes at her and wrapped an arm around her waist, hoisting her up. She ended up rolling over him, making him fall on his side on the bed with her squeezing him. She clung to him and rested her head on his arm, but then she frowned and started swatting at him, mumbling how cold he was. I couldn't help but guffaw, because she was doing all of this with her eyes shut closed, and lips pressed into a thin line. She opened her eyes at the loud laughter of mine, and she glanced at me with hazy eyes before grinning cheekily. “Xiumin-ah! My favorite ~” I tried hard to suppress my feelings, but the color rising on my cheeks blew my cover.

“Are you awake now?” Sehun, who was suddenly beside her started snapping his fingers in front of her face, and she squinted at him so hard, she looked like a thirteen year old girl. “Stop it~ you're being mean!”

“How so?” puzzled, Sehun asked, eyes blinking childishly. Hani pouted, her eyes eyeing something behind Sehun that only she could see in her state of blurriness. “My ears are still sensitive, they're not awake yet,” she replied, her voice dropping into a whisper. Sehun only rolled his eyes, and flicked his wrist, sending a gentle breeze on her hair, ruffling it out annoyingly. Hani whined of course, and Sehun returned to his place on the couch robotically, continuing to watch his series without a care in the world.

“You have to get ready, Hani. Your parents are coming at any time now. You still need to pack,” Joonmyeon started dusting imaginary dirt off of his ruby sweater. Hani huffed in her place before standing up to leave for her closet to change into something more proper in the dormitory’s public bathrooms. I returned to my place beside Sehun, and the boy protectively hid his bag of chips away from me, as if I would actually steal some. I rolled my eyes at him and flicked him on his arm. He didn't dare return it, perks of being the oldest out of us twelve. I felt a burning stare at my head, and I looked up with wide eyes to notice Baekhyun staring at me with his usual, deadly stare. He didn't say anything, and I didn't say anything at all, but I know in his eyes, he was questioning my actions towards Hani, and maybe, he knew about my hidden feelings for her as well.

                                         ¥¥¥

“Moooooooom!” Hani ran to her mother with the utmost speed she could conquer, and I just watched her with admiring eyes. She looked quite happy with the way she bounced up and down on the heels of her feet, and the way she enveloped her mother in her arms. She looked happy, joyful, and most importantly, she looked beautiful like this, with a wide smile on her lips. I felt my heart flutter, and I knew there was an odd twinkle in my eyes.

Someone placed their hand on my chest, pushing me back, and it's only now that I realized I was walking farther towards Hani and her parents. I glanced up at Baekhyun, who was giving me a warning look. I sighed and backed away, and Baekhyun still gave me the same withering look. I puffed my chest a little, and averted my eyes away from him. “What is wrong with you?” the accusation in his tone was so evident as he said that, and I was the one who glared hard at him.

“Nothing, Baek. Nothing is wrong with me.”

“You're staring, hyung, and it's not the normal staring. I can literally see hearts in your eyes.”

“Shut up, Baekhyun,” at my curt tone, he stopped talking to shake his head at me with a scoff, turning around to stand beside Sehun, who was eyeing me with curious eyes. Even Joonmyeon spared both Baekhyun and I a stare, wondering what was wrong with the sudden tense atmosphere around. I ignored them all, and kept watching Hani as she fiddled with her fingers, taking peeks at us while moving , probably explaining how she attained us to her mother, who was currently gaping at us with her husband.

I scratched my head at the sheer horror in her parents’ eyes, and when I looked at my brothers, I found them staring at them with awkwardness as well, while Baekhyun's eyes twitched. Hani beckoned us closer to her with her eyes, and we all walked towards her timidly, my own eyes falling down to my feet. I’m not usually a shy person, but seeing the way her parents were checking every nook of our bodies made me embarrassed, especially that her father’s eyes were hard.

“Four? This fast?” her mother breathed in admiration, and I could see from the corner of my eyes that she was frowning a little, perhaps already feeling the strong Aura we were emitting. Thankfully, not so many students were around us, since most of them left in the morning.

“Honey, do you feel this?” her mother whispered to her husband, and I felt my hand suddenly being taken by a petite hand. I stared at Hani with surprise, but she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing herself, because she was busy biting her lips and staring at her parents anxiously. I squeezed her hand immediately, and I could clearly feel the soft texture of her skin against mine, making my heart skip a beat.

“Hani, are they all five ranked warriors?” Hani’s father spoke this time, his eyebrows furrowing as he stared down at us like we're his preys. I don't want to speak ill of Hani’s parents, but they were like everyone else. I could detect the criticism in their eyes when they stared at me, at my brothers. They looked like they were staring at insects they wanted to squash with their feet. I never thought I would be scared anymore now that I’m with Hani, but I was wrong. I watched silently as Hani nodded almost uncertainly, and I couldn't blame her at all. Her parents didn't look trustworthy.

They shared a knowing look, her mother having a more scared look on her face than her father's resolved one. Hani unlocked her hand from mine and rushed to clutch her mother’s hands, and I already felt empty without the warmth of her hand over mine. I stretched my fingers in hopes of removing the tingles, and I found myself gulping down my saliva.

“Please, don't tell anyone!”

“Hani, you think no one would know? They emit power. We cannot feel a warrior’s aura unless they were from the Ex.. ah! I can't say more, I feel like my heart is going to stop beating at any minute now!” Hani’s mother clutched on her chest like she is about to faint, and I bit my lips in worry at the sheer anxiety in Hani’s eyes.

“You're exaggerating,” Hani’s father rolled his eyes. “No one really knows how strong they are, they would think the power is from Hani.”

“What the hell, Minjoon? Did you forget she's a four ranked Wielder in the school as everyone assumes?” Hani’s mom argued, her eyebrows creasing and meeting in the middle. Minjoon sighed and rubbed his forehead with a little annoyance bubbling within him.

“I know! But right now, she is bound to cover up the fact she actually has the ability to attain not two, or three, but four Exo cards! Her fifth rank is not as big of a problem as this, Lina!” Lina, Hani’s mother huffed in annoyance, knowing that her husband was right about his words. I watched Hani from the corner of my eyes, and her lips were jutting out in a pout.

“What should we do?” Lina whimpered while circling around the car. Honestly, I wanted to open my mouth and speak, maybe offer some comfort or even some of my planning, but I’m not sure if they would accept, they're not Hani after all.

“Hani dear, since how long did you find the third card?” totally ignoring his wife’s horrified eyes, Minjoon asked his daughter, Hani, who was busy gnawing on her lips. I found my mouth open up to reply without my will, but Joonmyeon nudged me in my side to shut me up. Understanding, I snapped out of my reverie, because I’m in the presence of Hani’s parents, who are Wielders as well, and not normal human beings. My speaking in the wrong time would cause some serious problems.

“Um.. I found him on my first day of school.”

“The second one?” Hani broke into a cold sweat, and I wanted so badly to pat her head in comfort. “Um.. ah.. two weeks ago?”

“Hani!”

“What? I’m sorry I didn't say okay? But shouldn't you guys feel their aura or something!” Hani protested loudly, not giving in to her father’s piercing stare. I glanced at my brothers, and they were all looking down at their feet in submission. I frowned, because I didn't like the way we were all like this. I guess being with Hani, even for a small period of time, played some serious game with me. I felt so free and liberated, that I was so used to it. I forgot how we should act around Wielders, with utmost respect, even if they didn't deserve it, or if it wasn't mutual.

“Hani, all Wielders shut off their au
