Dear eonnie,
We were called in for another training today, barely well rested after the camp.
Gary was late again. This time, we all know that it was because of work. When the teachers asked though (they weren’t there at the cheesy, heartfelt, talking session), we came up with lies to cover up for Gary.
Jae Suk: He’s sick.
Suk Jin: Having a diarrhoea.
Haha: In the toilet
Despite the situation, I found myself smiling a little, because it was kind of heart-warming how they all said different things, but it could mean the same thing.
When Gary came, we were already singing halfway. He couldn’t join in so abruptly as it would spoil the flow, so we had to restart. Teacher Myuk frowned at that, but said nothing.
Later, at a break, we all talked in hushed whispers about Gary’s work.
“At this rate, the teachers will find out something,” Haha said.
“What would they do if they find out?” Kwang Soo asked. To be honest, I hadn’t known either.
Jong Kook rolled his eyes. “We aren’t allowed to work when there’s school,” he said.
“But it’s holiday now,” Suk Jin cut in.
Jong Kook rolled his eyes again. “He obviously works during school days too, right?” he asked, staring at Gary.
Gary averted his gaze.
We all sighed in unison.
Teacher Im clapped twice, a signal that we had to go back to practise.
We learnt a new kind of dance today! It was a mix of tap-tap dance, but we also have to hold an umbrella. We had to swing our umbrellas around at times, and sometimes we hit each other. We cannot stand too close to each other because of that, but still, we cannot stand too far from each other, otherwise the spaces between each other wo
