At the beginning of the week, Krystal was still angry with me. Seo Young advised me to apologise, she said that Krystal was so used to attention and getting things her way- that’s why she’s acting like that. I didn’t want to. What was wrong with staying a friend that needs company?

But then Gary told me to apologise too.

“I did nothing wrong,” I insisted.

“I know,” he said. “But do you value your friendship more, or your pride more?”

Of course I valued our friendship. They were the first (real) friends I ever had. But this has nothing to do with pride. It was about… I don’t know, right and wrongs?

“I know you are doing this for me,” he continued when I didn’t respond. “But I’m okay now, really. I know that you believe in me, and that’s enough for me. It’s enough to know that you are on my side.”

He stood up and held out his hand to shake mine. I hesitated before shaking it.

“You should apologise to them before it’s too late.”

And I did. That was on Monday. Now, we’ve made up ate started to eat together again. I stopped staying with Gar
