A few hours passed while I placed my hands onto my lap before Seulgi entered. Her eyes were puffy from the crying now that she realized we weren't going to see eachother often anymore. Her cheerfulness went away quickly and she made me sad although I tried not to show it. "Minah, write a lot to me okay?" 

I chuckled, I had just finished bawling my eyes out too. "I know. You too." I winked at her and she giggled back still sniffling. I was already leaving in less and barely spent one day with them knowing that I'd regret waisting these few minutes sitting here.

My brown suitcase was small since I didn't have anything worthy to put in except for the pictures of me and my family; maybe some of the necklaces and jewelry my father and mother had gifted me for my birthdays or the clothing that was simple yet affordable for the lowest caste.

"We should get going." she smiled and grabbed my arm. I reached out to grab the suitcase and followed Seugli out of our room. We walked to the living room and I stared out the front door. The guards were still there, standing straight. I felt awful seeing them work so hard when they hardly knew me. I was sure there wasn't going to be anything dangerous happening but they kept insisting so I let them be. 

"Minah." My father called out after coming inside the house from our small backyard. He held out a small silver ring and handed it to me. I was speechless, the ring was simple but beautiful. It had my initials carved in and a symbol I barely recognized, probably seeing it only once or twice but I don't recall. I couldn't help but tear a little more before placing it in the palm of my hands, gripping it tight before giving my father a long and warm hug. 

"Thank you father." I whispered and he nodded while my hair. I could hear him choking his tears in which he often did when the neighborhood always saw him as a tough man. I couldn't help but smile a bit, bitting my lower lip trying to stop my tears.

"Take care. Be sure to visit your mother and I." He adds and I nod. "Seulgi also. She'll be sad that you won't be here for her birthday." I just realized that Seulgi was turning 16 in a month and I then became dissapointed that I wouldn't be able to make it. Plus, there wasn't much time left till she grows up to adulthood and the age of 16 always seemed to be the perfect age for a teen girl. Many of her friends were throwing sweet 16 birthdays and she would always tell me about them even though I didn't get one of my own. 

"I will." I reply back and quickly wiped the tear that reached my chin. We finally broke the hug and I sliped the ring onto my index finger, hoping I wouldnt lose it. "It's beautiful." I whisper and my dad smiles. "Like you, Minah. Like you." 

I let out a laugh and we walk out to the front of the house. My mother and Seulgi stood there in awe at cars. There were at least three black cars aligned infront of the house but I knew they were longer than the length of the house. Mother and Seulgi gave me quick hugs and goodbyes which was tiring since I recieved so much from the past hours.

I stood there trying to take in the quick memories until the first car opened. The same man from earlier appeared. He had glasses on this time and he bowed to me. I was in my black pants, the most expensive pair I had although the style wasn't as appeasing. But I did have on a decent looking shirt.

He examined me again like the first time and shook his head. He scrunched his nose and I could tell he didn't like it. "We're going to have you change when we get there." I nodded feeling embarrassed. He didn't have to let the whole world know especially with the people outside my house along with the long crowd that was surronding the path way out of the city.

"I would appreciate that." I say trying not to take his comment too seriously and grinned trying to show him I was at least feeling thankful. And plus, I was going to be near the Queen, King and the Prince; closer than anyone could be and so now my outfit was a complete no. He nodds in ease at my words and opens the door. 

I enter slowly. My parents were holding eachother and Seulgi waved even more enthusiastically, her hair flying everywhere. I laughed at her and she smiles back warmly. "Bye Bye." She mouths and I wave back to all of them. I blew a final kiss to them and they chuckled. My mother was covering with her hands trying to hold herself from bawling out too long. My father just held her tightly and Seulgi gave me a final wink.
