“Family of Kwon Jiyong?”

Seunghyun hyung, Daesung, and I shot up from our seats to approach the doctor who just walked out of the emergency room where Jiyong was sent in a while ago. “Doctor, how is he? How is my dongsaeng?” Seunghyun hyung beat me to ask the doctor impatiently.

The doctor sighed as he answered, “From the blood result, we identified much alcohol in his bloodstream that we usually claimed as alcohol poisoning.” The confession of the doctor shocked the brothers as they kept listening to the doctor’s words. “It’s lucky that he was brought here in time or else it could affect his low body temperature and slow rate heart which can lead to death.”

Alcohol poisoning...? Oh My God! Jiyong-ah...

“Then... Then will he be okay, doc?” I was the one who asked the doctor.

“For the moment, we will put him in intensive care. We will closely monitor his vital signs, including his heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature. If he were to develop more serious syntoms like seizures, we will need to provide additional treatments. But for the moment, he is safe from any life threatening danger.”

Oh Thank God he’s fine! If there’s anything to happen to Jiyong, I don’t think I would be able to handle another lost brother.

“Thank you, thank you so much, doctor,” Seunghyun hyung thanked the doctor sincerely as he walked away from the spot. The three of us finally able to sigh a relief knowing that Jiyong is safe from any life threatening danger.

Wearing the hygiene clothing, I entered the intensive room where Jiyong was tightly monitored. Upon seeing the pale face of my brother, it broke my heart. A lot of tubes were connected to Jiyong’s thin body. Without I realized, my sight started to get blurry because of my own tears.

Approaching closer to my brother, I grabbed his hand, “Jiyong... Why? Why are you stupid? Why do you have to hurt yourself like this? Why, Jiyong-ah?” I poured out my anger on Jiyong along with the sadness and the fear. “Why Ji? Why?” I totally broke down in front of unconscious Jiyong.

I know that the death of maknae affected Jiyong the most among the four of us. Maknae has always been Jiyong other half. Everyone with eyes can see how Jiyong spoiled maknae to the fullest; no matter what the maknae wanted, Jiyong will never think twice to fulfil it for the youngest. Whenever the maknae was in fault, Jiyong would never have the heart to scold the youngest; he would throw his angry at the other person instead.

I still remembered clearly just about a week ago when Jiyong bought that red Ferrari for maknae’s coming of age present. No words can describe the shock on rest of us when maknae informed us about his early ‘birthday present’.

“Seriously, Kwon Jiyong?” I was clearly mad with my same age brother. “A car? A Ferrari?”

“Oh come on, Bae. Maknae deserve it, right? It’s his coming of age, his once in lifetime moment in his life. Of course, he deserve to have the best.” Jiyong defended as his eyes never left the happy maknae that dancing around his new car.

“Kwon Jiyong, it’s not how you should spoil him. Do you even consider how dangerous it is for maknae to have his own car? You know how troublemaker our maknae is.” I scolded Jiyong for sure. I still couldn’t believe how absurd Jiyong could be. “What if... What if something unfavourable happen to maknae because of that thing?”
