No! No! No! It couldn’t be true! My maknae wouldn’t leave me! No!

As I saw the nurse was about to pull the white cotton over my maknae face, I angrily pushed that damn nurse away. “Get the hell away from my maknae! What do you think you’re doing, huh?” What is she thinking about? My maknae is not dead. He’s just sleeping. Right, he’s just sleeping soundly.

Probably startled of my sudden rage, the nurse backed away as I turned to look at my maknae who seemed like sleeping so peacefully; the sight that I always adores everytime he sleeps beside me. As my natural reflects, I smiled as I reached out to touch maknae face.

Cold. It was the first thing I noticed when I laid my hand on his skin. Maknae skin is cold; not warm like he always was.

“Maknae... Jiyong hyung is here... Are you going to keep sleeping like that? Wake up for me, will you maknae?” without I realized, my sight has been blurred with my own tears. “Maknae, hyung beg you, please open your eyes for me... Please, maknae?”

“Jiyong, please don’t be like this...” I totally ignored Seunghyun hyung comfort words for me. All my eyes and mind was only on my maknae; my precious maknae.

“Maknae, do you hear me? Yah! Are you going to keep this stubborn? Yah Lee Seunghyun! You’re better open your eyes or... or...” I couldn’t even finish my threat as my tears kept wetting my face as I hugged my maknae lying body. “Maknae, please... please don’t leave me... I beg you...”

“Jiyong...” Seunghyun hyung was trying to pull me away from maknae, but I kept clinging to my maknae. I will never let anything separate me from my maknae. Nothing and none...

“Stop being selfish, Kwon Jiyong! He’s not only your maknae! He’s my maknae too! He’s our maknae too! Do you think you’re the only one who broke down?” Yongbae suddenly snapped at me angrily. It’s very rare to see Yongbae gotten that angry, but in that moment, I didn’t care anymore. I care for nothing anymore. I cling to my maknae desperately, hoping by doing that, he will be alive again.

What I care is maknae; only maknae.

“I know you can’t accept it, but listen very carefully, Kwon Jiyong! Maknae is dead! Maknae wouldn’t open his eyes to look at us again!” What Yongbae said out, I couldn’t accept it. I wouldn’t accept that fact.

“NO! MAKNAE IS JUST SLEEPING! MAKNAE IS NOT DEAD! I DON’T ALLOW HIM TO!” I snapped back angrily at Yongbae.

“KWON JIYONG!”

“BOTH OF YOU, STOP IT!” Seunghyun hyung angry voice snapped both of us into silence. “If you two are going to keep fighting each other, don’t do it in front of maknae. Can’t we just peacefully say our last goodbye to maknae?”

Hearing what Seunghyun hyung words froze me as I felt he pushed away so that he’s standing at my spot before. Still in my frozen state, I could clearly hear what he said to maknae.
