A selection of some of my favourite (and, in my opinion, some of the best) EXO and OC fanfics on AFF, with occasional cameos of must-reads from other fandoms.

09/05/2018: I am aware this list has not been updated for a little while - I do have recommendations in the pipeline and will be recommending one tonight with more to follow. Life has just been incredibly busy recently. I'm so sorry!
During 2016, I saw a large number of complaints about silent readers (and update soon comments) and how discouraging it is for authors not to receive feedback on what they post, and an equally large number of complaints from readers who don't know what to write, or get dispirited when authors don't reply to/seemingly ignore them when they do take the trouble to leave a comment (and complaints about authors demanding comments or even holding chapters to ransom for comments, especially when they don't reply to them.
It dampens the atmosphere of a site like this where people are constantly feeling discouraged or complaining, and so I thought, why don't we do something about it?
I can't do much by myself, but collectively we could have a big impact! Based on personal experience, writers get a morale boost and are more likely to update when they get thoughtful comments from their readers, and readers are much more likely to comment if the author replies to comments. If both become more common, everyone wins, right?
There are two things you can do to make this work. The first is to raise awareness of this initiative by copying the blogpost below and reposting it, mentioning it on your stories/shops/anything, talking about it to friends on the site, and putting the hashtag #mm2k17 on your profile somewhere.
The second is to pick a challenge. Choose one you feel comfortable committing to for the year. It doesn't have to be a hard one and you don't have to say which one it is. Every little helps.
#1: the #mm2k17 standard challenge
For readers: I pledge to write a (minimum of a) three-sentence comment on at least one fic per week.
For authors: I pledge to respond to (up to) at least three comments I receive per chapter I post on one of my fics.

2: the #mm2k17 mega challenge
For readers: I pledge to write a (minimum of a) three-sentence comment for ever chapter of a story of my choice (starting from the most recent chapter).
For authors: I pledge, on all my fics, to respond to (up to) at least three comments I receive for each chapter I post.

3. the #mm2k17 ultra challenge
For readers: I pledge to write a (minimum of a) three-sentence comment for a fic each day or so I'm reading on AFF.
For authors: I pledge to reply to all my comments on all my fics from this point on.
Go spread the word! The blogpost! The hastag!

(P.S. If you have the facilities to upvote comments, whether you're an author or a reader, please do so for the ones you find worthy! It'll encourage readers to write them more often.)
Here's a link to the blogpost in which I explain it all in more detail.
