I'm often asked to recommend fics and I guess this is me cracking and starting a recs list?  Conformity for the win.  (This is in part because Aishmin's monster rec list is no longer updated.)

In this list, you will find:
– Well written fanfics from AFF with solid plots – the more unique and interesting, the better!
– EXO and OC fics only (with the odd sprinkling of bromance and Idol x OC).  No idol x idol, or yuri.  Sorry.
– All recs rated with a certain number of stars – naturally, the more stars there are, the more I recommend it, though everything that makes it on here is recommended because it's a good read.  My favourites are marked out clearly with a CERTIFIED FAVOURITE stamp (which does not necessarily follow 9 stars around!).
– One shots and ongoing fics, completed or chaptered – length and status don't matter if something's good because people will read them anyway, but I try not to recommend things which look like they'll never be finished because that's unfair to the readers.
– Masterlist 1, which organises fics according to member, and Masterlist 2, which organises them according to genre and status and gives additional information on the list for anybody interested.
– The odd [M]-rated fic, but I'm not a massive fan of .
– 10 karma points if you suggest a fic that I go on to recommend.
Please DO NOT clog up the comments below by suggesting fics that are not for this list.  I do not accept anything that is "for my personal consumption".

  PLEASE NOTE: While you are free to suggest fics for this list (as long as you stick to the guidelines), ultimately nothing will make it on unless I like it.  Suggesting does not guarantee a feature.  I'm a very picky reader, and while I make allowances for non-native speakers, if spelling and grammar etc. aren't of a decent standard, the plot has to be really fantastic for me to read it.  Likewise, I don't respond well to fics with weak plots or characters.  In recommending, I try my best to be objective in putting forward stories of good quality, but I do have my biases and preferences and tend to read more about them, even if I try to get a balance of recommendations.  For example, I'm a er for Chen fics, mamaverse, wolf aus, and would prefer to read fluff over angst when given the choice, and while I read stories with love triangles in them, the main point of conflict had better be something other than two boys fighting over a girl because they think they're entitled to her feelings or I'll drop it faily quickly.  That said, anything sufficiently well written can happily haul me away from my biases.
