Suho is a dreamer. He yearns for an exquisite alternate dimension where the glowing sun shines upon brightly coloured flower meadows as he races across fields, past unicorns, amongst pretty little fairies all the way to the end of a rainbow whilst in the arms of the butterfly girl.

PLOT: Suho basically has an obsession with a lilac-haired butterfly girl he keeps seeing in his dreams. Then he sees her in reality and it turns out he's not the only one looking for a butterfly-other-half.

There was just something about the ending that I really liked, especially that last paragraph. It's a fairly short one shot, but the plot is direct and simple and no time is wasted on it.

CHARACTERISATION: One of the only pitfalls of this particular one shot format was that the only character we really get a glimpse at is Suho. That said, it's not like his character was done badly (the fic wouldn't be on the list if it was); I think I'm just not used to a one shot that focusses so completely and wholly on one person, and that's preference (and probably because I have difficulty writing characters myself that aren't interacting with others often). The idea of Suho with blue hair was also an alien one to me, but makes complete sense. I'm guessing his butterfly is something like a blue monarch? His preoccupation with his ... purple emperor? purple hairstreak? butterfly is well done and actually rather amusing.

WRITING: While this is altogether a solid piece, it was niggling little things in the actual delivery of it that became the setbacks. I say niggling because for the most part it's good – spelling is correct, the English is fluent, the pacing is great, the description was fanta
