I never believed my first boyfriend would be the one. I had no grand delusions about an all-consuming love or an epic romance laced with passionate kisses where I get swept off my feet, literally. I did believe that I would actually know the guy, though, like him romantically. I never once thought I would accidentally wind up with one, then be unable to break up with him because I'm too non-confrontational.

But here I am, currently in a relationship with Kai, and I have no idea what to do about it, if I should do anything at all.

thoughts PLOT: If ever you're looking for a fluffy school romance to read, this is definitely one to go for. Im Soo Young, wallflower extraordinaire and socially inept, becomes aware of the fact that she has a very, very handsome deskmate when she drops her pencil and he hands it back to her. She thinks nothing of it. Her parents, though, deplore her lack of friends and encourage her to take it into her own hands and get to know people more. Unfortunately, they tell her that the best way to do this is to give people more compliments.

Result: she tells her deskmate that he has a nice face, and he takes her out for coffee, and in an attempt not to be socially awkward, she replies "sure" to a question she doesn't hear, and thinks nothing more of that, too. The next day, all his friends are talking to her and she discovers that they were aware of the fact that she's now Kai's girlfriend before she knows. And he's just so nice that she has no idea what to do with him. (Also, romance is slow build, in a perfectly paced kind of way.)
