thoughts PLOT: This is a very sweet slice-of-life oneshot based around Yixing's wife going away for business and coming back again. It focussed more on the relationship dynamics than anything else. The prevailing fluff and light-hearted humour are just spot on.

CHARACTERISATION: Not gonna lie: the relationship in this made me absolutely gooey. The characters have been married for some time and know each other inside out. The gentle worrying is endearing, the affectionate teasing heart-warming, and the travel nerves and not wanting to go so, so relateable. Or maybe that's just my family and the way we worry when it comes to travelling. It's just pitched perfectly. I would have loved it if it was a little longer, but on the other hand, I don't think my heart could have taken much more of the fluff. Yixing is such a gentleman and the relationship between the two just has a lovely spark of life, even if we never find out the OC's name.

WRITING: Not giving the OC a name is a bit of a two-edged sword, really. I don't think that it affects this piece at all, but it gets awa
