Sometimes, getting inpiration for a work or a project is painfully hard.

Literally.

Especially when a certain girl has a habit of hitting her head with her sketchbook to find it.

thoughts PLOT: This was another light-hearted, very sweet entry for my writing competition. It's a coffee shop au, with Luhan and Yixing as the baristas and an OC whose name we don't discover. The OC is stuck for inspiration to draw and Luhan's stuck for courage to ask her out. The ending was just right.

CHARACTERISATION: I felt the characterisation was hampered a bit by having two 1st person POVs that the story alternated between on a regular basis – not necessarily a bad thing, but I couldn't feel a distinctive voice when comparing one to the other. It is notoriously difficult to master something like that and I guess it's actually more of a stylistic/writing point, but I've put it here because of the effect that it does have on the characters. I'm usually not a fan of nameless OCs, but it works here (not least because it's in first person, and because Luhan is initially crushing on her from a distance and Yixing doesn't happen to be a mutual friend, which makes the scenario a lot more realistic, not just in general, but also when comparing it to a h
