I understand people more than they should be comfortable with...

See, I'd like to think of myself as a Reader. Someone who can glance at another, perhaps a stranger, and immediately know their mood, perhaps their thoughts, even their basic personality.

The thing about people is that as much as we like to think we are good at hiding things, we can be completely transparent to the trained eye. Hints like body language, tone of voice, fidgeting... the list goes on and on.

All these things may not seem like much to others, but for me, it was like a guidebook to unlocking the essence of a person. It was surprising to know how simple a human can be. And because of those needs, I've made it a hobby of mine...

By a simple glance I can gauge a simple profile of a person and, within five minutes, I think I'm fairly confident to know much about their personality. And because of this I found it extremely easy and entertaining to twist and bend the fate of these unsuspecting people.

I am a bit of a fate manipulator.

I know that word gets a negative connotation but, bear with me, it's not as sinister as you think. I don't do anything for personal gain. I haven't befriended the rich cool kids or gotten close to the smartest kids to save my own during midterms. No. I find pleasure in connecting two people oblivious to their feelings. Sometimes, we as humans can bury the most essential emotions with stress and agitation.

I think the most basic of those emotions is love. And I was especially good at matching people up, without being a present and obvious force in their match making.

The school's most iconic couples? All of them were my doing.
