“Areum, are you okay?” Ravi stuck on his ear into the door, as he tried to eavesdrop. 

and when she gave them no response, Ken, who happened to be the closest one to the door joined Ravi and try to lure her out,

“Areum, I once try to sleep on that bed and I ended up having a reddish all over my body for a week,”

“And also, don't touch the—“

CLACK

It doesn't take long for her to change her mind.

“Seriously? For a week?”. 

She was in a complete mess, her eyes were red and baggy. Her hair was tangled, and she cover ed her forehead with some tissues. 

Wondering what did she do in there for hours, Ravi took a look inside his room,

“Hey, what are you doing there?!” He just can't believe  what he saw, 

Hyuk who becomes curious got up from his couch and checked on Ravi’s room

“Oh My…”. For the first time, Hyuk could finally see Ravi’s bed. He thought that it was only a myth, cause what he knew is that Ravi doesn't have a bedroom, he only has a warehouse where he slept in everyday.  “Hyung! Look at this!” He pulled on his brother.

“Oh my God!”. To look at Ravi’s room who suddenly becoming cleaner than his, Ken dropped his jaw, “Are you okay?!” then move his attention to Areum and helped her to get rid of the tissue,

“You think?”

Tears started to drip again.

“I just burned a house. Guys, I burned a freaking fourth floor house”

She turned around as she felt like she need to cry again.

But before she locked her self again, Ravi moved and close the door, not letting her slip away this time.

“Young lady, that was my room”. He flicked on the door,

“You—“

“If only I came earlier!! that—“

She cut off with her trembling voice,

“That—“

“Soonbok-ssi told me that I need to come before nine or else bad things will happen! And look what happened!!”

“Areum!” Ravi put his hand on her shoulder.

“It is not your fault!!”. He steered her to the couch, making sure she has a nice seat so that she can listen to any kind of lame motivation quotes that the guys will throw out at her.

“I bet that Shaman is just a fraud! cause what kind of sane people lighting up a candle for a week straight?!”

Everyone gathered around her.

“Yes, and when you got there, the house was already on fire, right?” While holding on Kyunggi, Hakyeon sat next to her.

“Seriously, You have nothing to do with it!”

“But—“

“Hey! Noona, look!! they even caught the shaman!” 

Hyuk turned up the TV volume, catching everyone attention.

“Noona its okay, listen, even the land lord—“

“Soonbok-ssi???” Areum snatched the remote from Hyuk, and raise the volume up to three bars.

“Yes, this house was everything that I have left,” Soonboksi was not much of a difference from Areum, she keeps on sobbing as she’s being interviewed.

“I was at my grandson’s place for a week straight so I don't know what happened, I don't know that he was a fraud, a thief too—“

“Soonbok-ssi! Uwaaaah!!!” And Areum cried louder than the one who lost her house.

“Soonbok-ssi I’m— I’m—“

“I know!” Ken exclaimed, stopping Areum from saying the word sorry.

“Hyuk, why don't we just ask Dad to pay for the damages?”

Now everyone shifted their eyes to Ken.

“And! and! We can Ask Uncle Jun who is the best lawyer in the earth to make the fake shaman go down in history and—“

“Okay, hyung that’s too much” Hyuk needed to stop his brother who still seems a little drunk.

“But I like your first idea, we can ask dad’s help”

“What? wae??” Areum stared at the two brothers.

“Why not?” Ken grinned at her

“I mean, we can use a credit card to buy a house, right?”

A ‘no’ plus heads shaking answers Ken’s rhetorical question.

“We can't? wae?”

Areum could finally smile again, and even threw some giggles to the silly Ken.

“Ken, you’re a good person, generous and nice, but—“

“Areum, please help them spend their money,” Ravi pointed at Ken and his brother, 

“Is not like they will starve to death or stop wearing silk robes if they build a house. In this case, you just have to trust them”

“Exactly! That’s what a chabeols do, pay for everything,” Hakyeon looked around and end his sight on the Park brothers,

“Except for the necessities”

“Yes,  exactly, ” Even Leo agreed.

“But,” Hesitation still hanging in Areum’s mind. 

“But thats—“

“Hey, Dad! How are you?”

Eyes are set on the older Park. In a flash, He’s already making a phone call,

“Jae Hwan?”

Even better, He put on the speaker.

“Yes! Yes! Dad, I have a request?”

“Why? Are you in trouble again?”

“What now? did you—“

Ken Immediately Tried to mute the speaker,

“Dad, its me,” But then Hyuk snatch his brother’s phone away, and put it on the table.

“Sang Hyuk? Is that you?” The guy on the other side of the phone change his tone,

“Hyukkie, how are you doing?”

“I’m a fine, Dad, look, actually I have a request,”

“Sure, what is it, son?” 

Ken started to make faces to the phone,

“What is it son~” He try to mimics the Dad.

“Well, Actually my request is the same with Hyung…”

“Really? What is it? He hasn't told me a thing—“

Ken took his phone back.

“Of course I haven't! Dad, you cut me off!!” 

“Is everything Okay?” This is the first time for Areum to look at someone who yells at their parents on the phone.

“Yes, You’ll get used to it, rich people have a unique way on showing their affection” Ravi Explained.

“Dad, if you turn the TV to channel five, there’s this news about fire on south district, and unfortunately it was our friend’s house,”  Hyuk carefully explain it to Mr.Park

“So like, is it possible for us to help them, cause—“

“Was it the four storey building? Isn't that place is only couple blocks away from your place? isn't it belong to an ahjumma?”

Hyuk kept the phone away,

“Hyung, So are we going to say that we’re friends with the ahjumma?” He whispered.

“Tsk,” Ken took the phone back.

“Yes, that house was her and her grandda— child, Me and Hyukkie is a friend of her grandchild, a very good friend of he— them, yeah, dad…”. Ken kept on stumbling on the phone.

“Why is he avoiding gender pronouns?”. Areum mumbled

“Ah.. Ken and woman is a very sensitive issue…” Ravi sighed.

“Well At least he doesn't lie to his dad..”

“Can we help them? cause they’re a good people, and—“

“Sure.”

“But it doesn't have to be the exact house as before right? Is it okay if the designs are different? I’ll ask my friend to design a house that is more friendly to the elder, four floors is just too much. Can you imagine your grandmother back and forth going to the fourth floor to dry clothes—“

“But Grandma has five helpers, why would she do that?”. Hyuk rationalize his dad who turned out to be not much of a different from Ken.

“Oh right, I forgot. Well then, can you send me their address and contact? I’ll send them my people in a second,”

“In the meantime, do they have a place to stay?”

Ken and Hyuk looked at each other, then at their friends,

“Yes…”

“Good, cause we don't have any available property in the mean time, and—“

“Oh, wait, I need to go, I’ll call you boys later. bye”

And as the calls ends, The park Brother reinforced with the group.

“It's true, right? She does have a place to stay, right?” Ken Confirmed.

“I do?” Areum pointed at her self,

“Yes, until you and Kyunggi found a new place to stay,”

Hakyeon stepped forward,

“you’re staying with us”

After a long pause, Areum struck everyone with a sudden move of backing away from everyone. 

“I’m what?!” 

“Look, don't get us wrong, we just want to help!"

"If you felt awkward with it, then we’re on the same page! You see, I know we’re all just strangers a couple days ago, but that's not the point here, the point is that we just want to offer you a help, I mean, if it turns out that you have a cousin or relative or friends, girlfriends, that you can stay there then its a good thing, ” Hakyeon didn’t want both sides to have any misunderstanding,

“But if you dont—“

“We’re not gonna let you and Kyunggi, being homeless and having no place to stay when its rain, or when it's cold. No place to stay away from all the danger and—“

“You can use Hongbin’s room, he can practically sleep with Hakyeon,”. Hongbin widened his eye listening to that word of Leo. But knowing that it came from Leo, he didn’t have the 'right' to talk back. “And you can even make a barrier or set of rules. We understand that you’re a woman, there are areas that we don’t know and we can't know”

Hakyeon patted his little brother,

“Hongbin, you’re okay with it, right? Like we used to be, sharing room—“

“Or I can sleep on the couch,” Hongbin smirked back at Hakyeon,

“Look, Areum seriously, if we could, we would ask dad to build a house for you, but I think you more than anyone realizes that Soonbok-ssi need the house more than you”. Ken sighed.

“We promise that we won't do anything harmful or inappropriate or ungentleman, or—“

“Right guys?” He checked on his friends.

They nodded.

“Right, Kyunggi?” Ken grinned at the youngest,

“Ya!”

And finally everything is starting to made sense to Areum.

“A set of rule? Won't that be too much?”. After taking some time to think, She decided to speak up.

“No, we ask for it, we only have a little knowledge in term of female and so I think that’s just.. the right thing to do”. Hakyeon added.

“But then what’s the benefit for you guys? Do you really think I want to my self on someones place and—“

“Maybe we can get a girlfriend after knowing much more about girls!!!!”

Ravi raised his hand and pointed at the ceiling.

“I mean— you know— ah—“

“In return you can help us with that kind of knowledge! In fact, we can share knowledge about guys too! I mean for exmple, oneday you have to teach that fetus over there to shave and—“

Areum plugged her ears with her fingers,

“Okay, that's enough. Rule number one, don't talk about stuff that I don’t need to know, yet”

“Okay…” Everyone agreed.

“I don't know if it's going to be too much or not, and if it's too much, please just say it to me”

She continued,

“I’m very neat and quite a perfectionist. I cant sleep if the room is disorganized, so please let's keep this place clean, and lock that door of sins” She pointed at Ravi’s room.

“It took me two hours to clean that up”

“Wow, it took me forever just to find my wallet…” Ravi muttered.

“Well, continue”

“Hmm…”. Areum thought for more,

“Oh, no , please. If you want to do anything related to stuff like that please—“

“No, we won't, trust me” Hakyeon scratched his neck,

“Next?”

“Ah, no cursing! I don't want Kyunggi next word to be something bad that I don't even know the meaning of it,” 

Again, Everyone nodded in such agreements.

“Okay, I guess that's it, Was it too much?”

She looked at everyone,

“And is there anything I need to know from you guys?”

And now Everyone shook their heads.

“But we do have some set of rules that applied since we moved here,” 

“Like respecting each other and live happily, If there’s happen to be conflict, we have to  talked through it, Try to clean your own dishes and do your own laundry—“

“Okay, one more thing, we need a separate space to dry the clothes,”

Areum couldn't miss out one of the most essential rules of living guys.

"And schedules for the used of laundry machine"

“Oh, right… sure, you can use the backyard and we can use the front yard…”

“Okay, I’m drying my clothes at nine in the morning, and please don't go to the yard from nine to twelve. Or if you want to use the backyard please tell me the night before so I can dry my clothes on some other time” 

A fair enough explanation from Areum left the boy with no answer but an agreement.

“Sure, we don't use that place often anyway”

And then one of them, who happened to be Hyuk realizes something,

“Eh, but we need to clean the backyard first! It's such a mess!”

“It's like an outdoor version of Ravi’s room”

Hearing that, Hakyeon instantly dropped his jaw, and got up from his seat, 

“Now get your lazy asses off this couch and clean up the backyard!! Now! Let's go! Go!” He started to pull everyone from the couch and drag them with him.

“Tsk! now? seriously??” Ravi whined as he’s being dragged into such place that he doesn't even realize the existence.

“Yes. I will definitely make you live miserable if you’re not going to help in three seconds, starts now”. Hakyeon’s ‘im not joking’ face was the only thing that can make everyone move their feet in a second to do what he said. And so everyone rushed into the back door, as if they’re on a race for something.

“Are you going to have a miserable life ahead?” Areum turned her face on to the only guy the left in the room.

“Probably, But I’m used to it,”

He who has been keeping his distance from her finally make a move,

“Areum, What did I do to you?” Hongbin stared at Areum as he stopped moving after two steps forward.

“Earlier this morning, when I was still drunk, what did—“

“No, its okay! Don't mind it,” Areum looked around,

“Anyway, I’m sorry that I have to invade your room, and so, like—“

“Oh, no its okay, I hardly use that room either,”

Hongbin tuck his hand inside his pocket.

“Look, seriously, I saw the angry face of Leo and Hyuk, and I think I did something—“

“How about you help me to organise my stuff, and then I’ll forgive you. How about that?”

A warm smile emergesdfrom the swelling face of Areum.

Walked toward Areum, to give her his key, he stopped there for a second. Leveling his eyes with her, he gazed on the eyes that just stop crying a minute ago. In an impulse, Areum backed away as she found it was only an inch left of her face to meet his.

“I’m sorry,” Hongbin covered his face that burns in red, and picked up some of the luggages that still left in the room. Carrying it all to the room that is now belong to Areum.

“Ah, I’m going to move my clothes first so then you can use the wardrobe,” He mutters.

“Yeah, sorry for the trouble—”

“No, don't say sorry,”

He sighed.

“I’m the bastard here. I accidentally kissed you, didn't I?”

while covering his mouth, Hongbin try to catch her eyes.

“You can hate me at least until you found a boyfriend”.
