Chapter 8

“Why did you do that?” Joohyun huffed to the bus stop 

“What? You and Yonghwa question? Well, atleast you’ll know what he thinks in a way, besides he laughed it off as a joke anyways” Jungshin answered her without batting an eye lash

“Still, you like fed me to the sharks earlier!”

“I am just looking out for you, you two are my friends but what you feel is most important to me”

“What are you two whispering about?” Minhyuk asked them leaning his head closer to the two

“Nothing” the answered in unison both looking at different direction

“So Lizzy and Yonghwa are they back together?” Hyoyeon asked while looking at Joohyun

She thought of the earlier incident right after they arrived back in school. As soon as they got off the bus, Lizzy was waiting by the bus door, since Yonghwa was carrying the big teddy that Joohyun won, she was of course was walking right behind him but stopped when she noticed that Yonghwa stopped in front of her.

“Joohyun, Lizzy wanted to talk” he then handed the bear back to her and left

“Well not that I know of, maybe she wanted to get back with him but Yonghwa said he’s no longer interested, but I don’t know, guess we’ll find out on Monday?” as the four jumped on the bus to go home

She never heard from him over the weekend and she would never dare call him first. Her instincts tell her something’s up, come Monday,

“So how was your weekend?” Joohyun looked at him knowingly

“Nothing special” he eyed her with an amused smile

“Try harder”

“What did I do?”

“Try harder to convince me Yonghwa” she smirked then turned her attention back to their teacher in front

Yonghwa slouch and leaned a bit more to her.

“I’m waiting” Joohyun spoke without looking at him

“Lizzy asked if we can get back together”

She snorted” Why am I not surprise? What did you say?”

“I said I don’t know if that’s a good idea”

She smiled at this “good job”

“But then her and her parents invited me to one of their weekend houses to celebrate their anniversary”

Her heart drummed

“What did you do then?”

“Well she was persistent so I gave in” answering her in almost in a whisper

She shook her head and massaged her temple.

“And so?”

“Well, were not yet officially together, but we were able to talk about somethings and well, we kissed… like kissed and things got steamy and we almost did it”

Joohyuns head spun “You what?!” she stood up shouting. Everyone in the room turned their attention to her in surprise. Her eyes wide open and mouth hanging, a few seconds later she realized what she had done and slowly averted her eyes to people around her while trying to breathe. She smiled a little

“Hehe sorry there was a cockroach somewhere!” she raised her hand apologizing and began stomping her foot and kicked Yonghwa real hard on the legs

“AAWWWW the cockroach bit me!” he exclaimed

“Joohyun what do you think?” The two were left inside the room for lunch

“I don’t think it’s a good idea”

“Why not?”

“Because she was the one who broke up with you with her immature reasons!”

“Well she’s the one who’s asking to get back together not me”

“And you wanted it also! Why else will you be agreeing to coming with her family for the weekend and well you even made out with her to the point where you almost did it!”

“What can I do! It’s not like I asked for it!” Yonghwa was now raising his voice and this fed Joohyuns fire even more

“You didn’t but don’t you have any self love or self control Yong?!”

“I’m a teeneager for crying out loud I’m entitled to not have any self control!”

“Don’t’ give me those lame excuses!”

“What is your problem Joohyun! Why do you hate Lizzy so much!?” He stood up tightening his fist into a ball

“I don’t hate her, I hate what she did to you!”

“She’s making up for it! She said sorry already and admitted that it’s her fault!”

“Then what do you want from me?! It seems like you’ve already made a decision why ask me for anything? I’m not your mother to give you permission on what you want to do!” Joohyun also stood up , some of their classmates were looking at them bewildered since they have raised their voice a notch and both look like they’re ready to go to battle

“I just wanted you to know! Since you’re my bestfriend!”

“Well BESTFRIEND! Seems like my opinion won’t matter would it? Do whatever you want Yonghwa! Marry her for all I care! Just don’t go running back to me crying looking like a lost puppy because she dump you again for losing her pink nail freakin polish! Or because she found a new guy to play with!” she was now screaming and on the verge of crying

“I won’t! some bestfreind you are! Forget we’re even friends!” Yonghwa kicked the chair beside him in frustration which startled everyone inside the room including Joohyun

“Guys hey stop it!” their classmate spoke all together, some of the boys even stood up

Joohyun looked into his eyes and smiled “This is all I’m ever gonna be to you huh?” and walked out of the room

She ran past her friends who was on their way back to the room and went directly to the rest room of the next building where there are less people. Only once when she was inside the empty restroom did she let her tears fall. She’s too young to be dealing with these stuff but why was it happening to her. It’s already a feat to fall in love with your bestfriend but to deal with it head on is just a complete bull crap.

She heard the bell rang and yet she didn’t move from the floor she was sitting on, instead she took her phone out and texted Yoona to tell their teacher
